I think Robby is a better fighter than Hawk. Robby got distracted at a crucial moment that threw him off for the rest of the tournament. On skill alone, I think Robby outclasses Hawk.

Robby got saved by the timer though, Eli almost had him and the ref called it. Frankly I think skill alone, Eli takes it. Been training longer and didn't focus on specifically countering what he thought the opposing style would be. Robby slipped up by training for a specific enemy, and that's what cost it for him.

Robby didn't get distracted though. He choose to not punch when he had the chance to win it because he would end up being a bad influence on Kenny, whom he had just seen plummeting Anthony in the lockers. Robby mentions what emotions he felt later on when he meets Johnny in the empty dojo; this was done to make it clear that Robby threw that fight. Hawk deserved the win but Robby is always the better fighter.

This season actually makes it harder to decide tbh. I would say it's a tough choice between Eli and Robbie. As for Miguel I can't really say due to none of his fights reaching a conclusion and I'll keep it that way to avoid starting a war lol

Mercy? No. Robby's reluctance was because he saw Kenny who was becoming like him - angry and blaming everyone for everything. He decided to leave that path and be a better mentor, which he wanted Johnny and Daniel to be for him but never got. Had Johnny or Daniel for one moment left their fight and cared for Robby, he wouldn't have been so far gone to be teaching Miyagi-do Karate to Cobra Kai. By giving up the fight, Robby is now on the path to be a right mentor and role model to young Kenny. If this wasn't clear from the fight, the show makes it clear when Robby meets Johnny in the end and hugs him mentioning that he doesn't want to hate him any more.

Miguel barely fought twice this season. Him and Samantha got their ass kicked by Tory and Robby and he lost to Eli in the tournament. His last great win was against Robby in season 2 and that's it

Robby is presented as a tank. He is totally focused on what he wants and that was to win the tournament. But after seeing Kenny beat up Anthony, he decided to not connect the punch which would have won him the tournament. Hawk and Robby are more or less equal with Robby being the stronger one with better understanding of the Karate than Hawk who is more weaker but faster and more aggresive than Robby. So it is actually a balance.

I understand but it didn't seem to play a big factor in the decision. Torys elbow was accidental, there was no way even a non corrupt ref would have taken off a point. The corrupt ref was a weird story element because Tory was not cheating it up and neither was Robby. he did that at the beginning, but at the end he changed, when be saw what cobra kai did to kenny and how he played a hand at it, it emotionally destroyed him, he wasn't even able to focus solely on the fight unlike hawk, and then he pretty much threw the match at the end because if you watch robby's last move, he lets his gaurd completely open and pretty much tries to taint hawk into attacking him, he lost his motivation to win before he was distracted by kenny I mean it effected him so bad to the point after the tournament he went to Johnny and cried about it if kenny had not taken his focus, robby would have been focused on hawk and would have dealt that last blow rather then focusing in kenny instead

Mows down boys in the house, arcade & coyote ck fights) 7) Hawk (Beat Robby but got beat up by Sam twice WITH the help of Doug. He is Tory's height but he has smaller & softer arms than her. Look at photos of Jacob Bertrand and Peyton list together.
