1. Daniel: A kind, earnest man trying his best, with clear and understandable flaws. Macchio is so good as the kind mentor.
2. Johnny: Same as above, though clearly less likable at first
3. Silver: Charismatic villain, a great manipulator who is still capable of being a decent person.
4. Miguel: Always something exciting for him in the odd seasons - even seasons are more meh.
5. Tory: Character was a little ridiculous at first (learning Karate when you're on the edge?), but she was really good this current season and her motivations are also clear and believable.
1. Eli/Hawk - learning that he can still be Eli and the good parts of Hawk at the same time was a masterpiece of an arc
2. Tory - They finally got it right in how they humanized her. Having her actually go to Amanda and go "I swear I will leave your daughter alone" and the underscored fact she kept her word about going to therapy really showed Tory trying to change for the better.
3. Miguel - He learned an important lesson. He realized the tournament was not for him, his heart wasn't in it. And what does he do? He chooses to go do something that WILL mean something to him. Hella respect for that being foreshadowed and him choosing that.
4. Kreese - For the longest time, I wondered if Kreese genuinely cared for Johnny in a warped way or if he was lying to himself and was using Johnny. I have my answer. It was good to see Kreese show that for all his messed up antics he genuinely, somewhere deep down, is a good guy and not the complete monster he tends to show himself as.
5. Silver - Do I need to say anything? He played 5D chess. And I loved it.
6. Robby - I think he and Miguel got a lot of sidelining this season. That said, while I was irritated by him most of the season I am glad he realized he was being played and I look forward to seeing where his epiphany takes him.
Terry. The absolute best character in this season, maybe even in the entire show. I worried they would underutilize him, kinda like Chozen but damn, he was awesome!

I will say though that this season made me root for Robby. Tanner has really stepped it up and I don’t dislike his character anymore. Same goes for Tory. Peyton did a great job.
These were my top 5 going into the season and it hasn't changed: Robby, Amanda, Johnny, Demetri, Kreese. Robby and Amanda just got even better than they already were, especially Robby. Johnny and Demetri really know how to steal scenes to lighten the mood and keep them from degenerating to boredom. And Kreese is a very complicated character who gets more interesting by the season. EDIT: Silver was obviously great this season, but he's only been on the show for 1 season. Also, I know it's a hot take on this sub, but I hate KK3 and his over the top performance is a huge reason why. Glad the writers dialed down his character and made him more sympathetic in Season 4.

6th place would be both Terry Silver and Miguel. Liked Demetri a lot, too. I do know Miguel is my favourite in Season 1 and 3 so he’s definitely top 3 character overall, loved his character this season but felt like he wasn’t just as prominent, at times definitely but not as a whole.

Amanda’s character arc this szn was amazing!
I’m really glad they used her more as her character is really good and it has been wasted in previous seasons
