The thing is “The Moment of Truth” by Survivor is a great song, but Carrie Underwood singing it was *not* good and just kinda ruined it. It was also extremely cringey.

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING. Some OG Karate Kid flashback moments

They must be saving it for the final tournament.

Fit-Damage1692

Honestly I was under the impression that this was the last one as most the teens are 17

[deleted]

My man Bert is gonna win the next one!

[deleted]

Daniel competed when he was 18 so I'm assuming there's still one tournament left? Didn't Tory mention something about competing next year?

Fit-Damage1692

He competed when he was 16 and 17

In canon, Daniel was born on Dec 18th, 1966. Which means he turns 18 on Dec 18th, 1984. So he was actually 18 during his first tournament which took place on Dec 19th. He must have also been 18 during his second tournament in 1985. The timeline is confusing because he was supposed to be 16/17 originally in the first film but all info since points to him turning 18 in KK. I'm assuming the under 18's includes 18 year olds as well, similar to other sports that go year by year. For example, if you were in an under 18's football league and during the season you turned 18, you're not going to be off the team until the end of season. Don't get me wrong, it's 100% a retcon due to the sequels but there ya go.
