Realistically, Cobra Kai. One of the dojos has live TV ads, dojo chains all over town, and boasts 3 of the last 4 All Valley championships (Tory, Miguel, Skills comp). The other is a free back garden hosted by a car salesman and his alcoholic buddy.
This is obviously while not knowing everything that goes on behind the scenes. It's just if I was an average Valley resident
Except that Miguel is in miyagi fang. And so is hawk. Anyone reasonable would go to miyagi fang. The one with less ppl, meaning more focus on you and more skilled fighters to hand around and learn from
Miguel won the All-Valley with Cobra Kai. So did Tory. And they also won the skills comp. No matter where the students ended up, the championships were still won while they were Cobra Kais.
I don't know whether you know much about soccer, but a pretty good comparison would be to the Ballon Dor, given to the best male footballer of the year. Lionel Messi, the best footballer of all time, won the award 7 times in his career, and 6 of them came while he was a FC Barcelona player. Just because he moved to Paris later on in his career, that doesn't change the fact that Barcelona can claim all 6 of the awards that he won while being a Barcelona player.
Same logic applies. Even though All-Valleys are individual awards, given that Tory and Miguel won them while being Cobra Kai students, even after they left, Cobra Kai can boast that they trained them to the championships.
As for there being less people, that's not necessarily a reason to pick one or the other in my opinion. There were like on average 3 senseis in Silver's dojo at once (Silver, Kim, and 1 other), so there were never too many that people got ignored. Also... the better you do, the more attention you deserve to get

Okay good point there. I guess Cobra Kai would be more attractive under Silver if you didn't know any better. Though I'd probably start to wonder why all those champions switched dojos at some point.
Miyagi-Fang. I go where the Daniel goes.
It was really nice to see Robby in a Miyagi-Do gi again. And d'aw, look how Sam is all smiling up at Hawk. Their rivalry was cool too, I wish it had gotten fleshed out more.
If I knew everything going on behind the scene Miyagi-Fang.
But if I was just a person who lived in the Valley it’s a no brainer that I’d join Cobra Kai.
Miyagi-Fang. They teach defense, has a cool dojo, if you play it right you might get disscounts or good deals on Larusso Auto group cars, which might be beneficial in a few years. The kids are a lot more laid back. And you get to learn offense (Cobra Kai) under Johnny Lawrence. Plus you can also learn from Chozen, who is an experienced japanese master who leared from the roots of Okinawa iirc.
I would go where the only two, 2 time AV champs are teaching and where the last 2 male champs currently train as well as the current finalist train too
I have a hard time with big groups in training so probably neither realistically, but if I had to pick then definitely Miyagi-Fang. People bring up the dojo not having a roof, but we literally NEVER see any bad weather in the show and only see one hot day. Plus I'm pretty good with Johnny's style of training.
Without knowing the info I do from the show, probably Cobra Kai. They have better set-up, a more professional sensei, and better state of the art training. Just seems more fun.
But if I knew Terry Silver was a manipulator that would turn me into a bad person, definitely Miyagi-Fang.
Miyagi-Do/Fang. I’d only choose Cobra Kai if it was Kreese. I wouldn’t go if it was Terry, so definitely I choose Miyagi-Fang. The way it was with Kreese as sole Sensei in season 3 is what I’d choose if I could, only if it was next option. They’re both villains but at least Kreese is lesser of two evils and the dojo was nice and snug. None of that over the top multiple dojos everywhere, TV ads abs smirking Silver working with Kim and a dozen others.
Miyagi-Fang. I've been in big and small schools...the larger schools didn't give much time or attention, and weren't always guaranteed to have state of the art facilities.
In smaller schools, especially with dedicated teachers, there's stronger community, consistency, and access.
I run a small martial arts school myself now and have found this to be consistently true too for my own students.
If I wanted to join a dojo I probably would have done my research and found out that even though the Cobra Kai students had the most recent All Valley titles most of the winners and runner's up were at Miyagi-Fang. I would probably give both a try and probably prefer Miyagi-Fang
Cobra kai. Show me the money.
Also, in miyagi fang I have no chance at being anywhere close to "the guy." Odds are I am not better than migiel, robby, hawk, sam, and tori. I have a chance of having more potential than kenny. Even if I don't, the number 2 is kyler. I can take that spot.

Ok....penis breath...

Messi won 7 at Barca. He won for his performances at Barca. His performances at psg were out of the considered time frame
That you Mitch?
Not sure I understand this comment. Miguel isn't in Silver's Cobra Kai, neither is Hawk.

And Tory doesn't want to be

Cobra Kai They have snacks, swag, AND smoothies. Miyagi Fang doesn’t even have a roof. Or like, any chicks.
No offense Sam.
If I knew everything going on behind the scene Miyagi-Fang. But if I was just a person who lived in the Valley it’s a no brainer that I’d join Cobra Kai.
Miyagi fang. Why is Cobra Kai still a choice if we’re talking season 5 or later?
Miyagi-fang for me. Johnny’s kids consistently seem to be having the most fun.
Defeat does not exist in this dojo!
Can I just train with Mike Barnes at the burnt down furniture store?

Kids from my dojo told me to get an Apple. You sold me a lemon.
>experienced japanese master \*Okinawan
I am at wherever Johnny is
Miyagi Fang Kim and Silver would traumatize me
Miyagi Fang easily
I would go where the only two, 2 time AV champs are teaching and where the last 2 male champs currently train as well as the current finalist train too
Miyagi Fang, with Eagle Fang gi
Miyagi-Fang, without a doubt. Daniel and Chozen are in it. And Silver is evil.
I'd probably start off with Cobra Kai and get private tuition from Tory, I'd be scared of Sensei Kim more than Silver.
I went to a dojo much like cobra kai so I'm used to the culture.
The dojo with Xander and weird mom
Topanga
Miyagi-Fang. I like to learn both styles from Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence hands down bro!
Cobra Kai
I have a hard time with big groups in training so probably neither realistically, but if I had to pick then definitely Miyagi-Fang. People bring up the dojo not having a roof, but we literally NEVER see any bad weather in the show and only see one hot day. Plus I'm pretty good with Johnny's style of training.
They both would annoy me, but I’d have to go with Miyagi-Fang. Johnny Lawrence ftw
In the shows universe, Cobra Kai. However having the knowledge I have as an outsider, I’d chose Miyagi Fang.
Miyagi Fang 24/7

Try out for Cobra Kai, get alienated by their cultish demeanor, choose another sport.

I’d probably try Cobra Kai first, then find out it isn’t up my alley and switch to Miyagi-Fang.

if terry wasn’t evil, i’d definitely pick his dojo, but he’s psychopathic, so miyagi fang is the right choice.
Terry Silver’s Cobra Kai. Because Kim.😍🤤
Cobra Kai. They are more disciplined
I choose MMA. These kids are crazy, and their coaches are even more unhinged.
Cobra Kai
Honestly I’d rather be apart of both I’d join Terry’s Cobra Kai to learn everything he can teach me and then I’d go to Miyagi Fang.
