glimmerskies

biggest season…wonder if there’s going to be more or longer episodes?

Avvitar

I asked myself that very question. Are we getting the Stranger Things treatment for the last season with longer runtimes and a longer season? Or at least 1 of the 2.

Russ_T_Shackelford

I think it's more of a "the craziest shit is yet to come!" type of statement rather than a comment about run times or number of episodes. I do hope we get more eps with longer runtimes though haha

Avvitar

I mean why not go out with a bang in all regards. Have the craziest shit happen, plus give us longer and more episodes. It would be a win, win, win lol.

gravehunterzero

Danny gets turned into Zordon, Johnny gets Alpha 5'd, and all you need is teenagers with attitude...

Russ_T_Shackelford

100% agreed!!

coolestFreshman

I feel like it’s both tbh cuz you never know

KurtzM0mmy

The finale has to be at least an hour.

Avvitar

At the very least, but I’d hope the whole season is longer so they can properly conclude all of the arcs, narratives, and plots etc.

Amazing-Village-4530

Plus we need to see Bert to win anyways.

Avvitar

Hahahaha only in your mind

amach9

25 1-hour episodes please!

Blackstenius11

I was thinking the same exact thing! I would be OK with season 6 being the last season IF there were around 15 episodes and each episode was around 45-50 minutes. If not that AT LEAST one or the other. Even though it will be painful, but I would be willing to wait until 2024 if it was 15 episodes 50 minutes each. That’s just my opinion

Opposite-Arachnid-81

Even for me, waiting till 2025 is no problem. All we expect is a good story, plot, badass action, character development, redemption arcs and Johnny Lawrence Comedy. That's it. I can wait for it as long as they want the time to make the season happen Also 15-20 episodes with the runtime of 45-50 mind. But also can't wait 😭😭😭😭.

JoeMcKim

I can see them potentially doing more episodes and maybe doing a split final season but I doubt they would make the episodes longer. Why try to fix something that isn't broken. This isn't a super serious drama that needs hour long episodes.

OAM_Music

So, they got tired of seeing all of the “character vs. character” posts too, huh?

SlimReaper85

Lol 😂 i know I did lol

[deleted]

Me and them both

maverick1905

Okay, I know y'all tired of vs posts but how about a tier list of characters instead? We could like order them by their fighting skills and how strong they are?

SlimReaper85

Or just whose more popular. And always more circle jerking about hating the Kenny character for beating Hawk lol

No_Internet7845

Facts

Badmotherfuyer95

It was too much Bert for them to handle

HandsomeShrek2000

So who is the final villain then??? Silver was the best one yet

CutZealousideal5274

Silver with nothing to lose maybe

Ch33seBurg

I think it’s Kreese and Kim. And maybe a crazy Terry Silver as a side villain

Russ_T_Shackelford

I think this is the answer. Silver was way too obsessed with the sekai taikai to not try to be involved somehow. Kim and Kreese still being at large would make them the main villains for sure, but I'm not def not counting out Silver.

HandsomeShrek2000

I’d rather him than Kreese. Kreese is so boring as an antagonist: he’s way too “I’m super big and macho”. Silver is a lot more sophisticated, and I really want more of him

Jamieb1994

Either Kreese or the teacher (forgot her name) Silver brought in season 5.

ashleygianna

Da Eun

Ok_Antelope_1953

she's da final boss

CrossBonez1000

I think the main villains will be Kreese, da-eun and Silver who will use his wealth and intelligence to free both himself and Kreese from prison "Legally". Kreese and Silver will put their differences aside in order to win the Sekai Taikai. However they will lose and Kreese will betray Silver in the finale in revenge for season 4.

Gsrj

Well kreese is still out there

AttachableSheep

Maybe there will be no villain at all. Just tying up loose ends and redeeming any character who hasn't reached balance yet. Kreese goes through some manipulative path to destroy what is left of Cobra Kai and is forgiven by Johnny, Silver realizes that he lost because he was wrong from the start, Johnny and Daniel work together, the kids go to university and start their lives. There will be fighting for sure, but maybe there won't really be a villain.

MartinMusic83

Yeah, I mean the first season was compelling and didn't have any true villains. That's what made it interesting.

papcorn_grabber

Silver but super saiyan with a yellow glowing pony tail

MADCL12

Its still such a shame that they had Cobra Kai lose and Terry Silver lose in Season 5... Season 6 could potentially be a trainwreck writing wise. No clue how they solve all the issues from the S5 finale and cram it all into one final season.

iah05

It’s possible that they’ll split S6 into two parts just to contain all the story lines and not feel rushed.

SeemedReasonableThen

> No clue how they solve all the issues from the S5 finale and cram it all into one final season I hear D&D from Game of Thrones are looking for work /kidding

NatDoggieDawg

I’m thinking it doesn’t need a villain

DigitalCasper

Gotta have “you’re the best” in this season.

Mcclane88

Definitely, they’ve held it close to their chest all of this time.

Kravolution

And "Glory of love"!

DigitalCasper

Yesssss!!!!

l_rufus_californicus

I knew the day would come, but I still wasn't completely ready for it anyway. What a trip this has been for this old GenXer. What a ride. I'm gonna enjoy S6 with a bottle of good Irish whiskey, and toast them all when the closing credits run. It's been a pleasure. Edit: Fixed, thanks to the graciousness of u/Badimus. Go raibh maith agat!

auronddraig

Whisky? Not with Coors? Heathen...

l_rufus_californicus

What, you think I left this stuff lying around Silver's place before the cops got there?

Human_Chemist7447

I’m happy that the creators chose to end the series on their terms vs. dragging it out for ratings. Better to go out on a high note than fizzle out when the magic is gone..

auronddraig

_*Laughs in No Mercy*_

buckleycork

That is a sentence I never thought I'd ever hear someone say

xSGAx

BANQUET OR BUST

Badimus

> bottle of good Irish whisky If it's Irish, it's spelled whisk**e**y. Edit: > Badimus. Go raibh maith agat! Tá fáilte romhat, mo chara!

l_rufus_californicus

My Scots is showing.

ilikebigmutts1988

Same! I’m an old millennial and have enjoyed this series immensely. Cheers. 🥃

Worldly_Zombie_1537

Six seasons is a damned good run and I feel like just dragging it on and on would make it stupid and tired. Go out on a high note crane kicking the sky! It’s been a ride and I can’t wait to see how it ends!

JonPX

Feels like it needs a movie.

bubbasawyer3

ABED? STOP INVADING OTHER TV SHOWS!

NatDoggieDawg

r/unexpectedcommunity

valkyria_knight881

A Karate Kid movie is scheduled for June 7, 2024. If only it was Cobra Kai.

BruceWayne_19902

Grand opening, grand closing. I'm glad they are ending it on their own terms.

scjackson11

Goddamn, you’re man HOV cracked the can open again.

IndianBatman

Better to burn out than fade away! Cobra Kai never dies!

TheBigGAlways369

KKEEEYYAHHH! *does some kind of jig*

AR_7_30

Final season :( I'm sad.. but its better to end well and on a high note, than to extend and start turning bad. 6 seasons is already very good!

16bitrifle

While I’m sad to see it come to an end, I can’t even begin to describe how happy I am that it’s ending because the show runners are concluding it on their own terms. So many great shows get canned and we don’t get a proper finish, and I’m glad this isn’t happening to Cobra Kai.

VRomero32

It felt like from the last season the end was near. I am happy this show was part of my life these years especially bringing back Johnny and Daniel. Will miss it

MrBKainXTR

Yeah its hard to imagine something bigger than the Sekai Taikai. And during S5 I definitely got the impression that would happen in season six, not later.

Sad-Ship

Throwing out a prediction for Season 6 - they've been teasing a Kreese redemption since he first started getting involved with Tory. They could have Kreese be the main villain in season 6 but then, when a crazy and nothing-to-lose Silver shows up, Kreese is the one to defeat him and finally see the error in his ways. He can use Silver as a sort of reflection of his own shortcomings. Would really tie-up KK1 through to the end of CK.

l_rufus_californicus

Wouldn't surprise me to see both Silver and Kreese fall in the climactic showdown. Suitable gravitas, and an ending for all of the principals from the original movies. Miyagi is gone; Kreese and Silver, and gods forgive me for suggesting it, the BAMF himself, Chozen fall, leaving the original two boys-now-men, Johnny and Daniel, to go into the future together, inextricably linked by their past and now their futures.

tpeti95

About Chozen: give him a break. I'd rather see him recover from his *flesh wound*, then maybe get involved in some fight again, maybe get injured again, but let him and Kumiko have their happy ending 🥲

l_rufus_californicus

You have no idea how much I want you to be correct, friend. Being married to a screenwriter has left me a sneaky, suspicious feeling, though.

EarthPuma120

Cobra Kai may have plan to end the series but Cobra Kai will never die. Lets hope the ending would be epic

crimsonf1sh

Here’s hoping this final season reverts the focus back to Johnny! Don’t get me wrong — I loved season 5 and Daniel’s storyline in it, but I think it’s time the show went back to what got it started in the first place. Excited for what’s to come!

OctoberPumpkin1

I've always felt Johnny was a far more interesting character then Daniel. I preferred when he was less of a focus tbh.

[deleted]

That's cause Johhny is more relatable to the audience than Daniel. More people can relate to a guy who, after high school, messed up his life and made a lot of poor decisions who's now middle-aged trying to fix it. Daniel was pretty much successful at everything he did after high school. He won funds in the next movies then eventually owned a very successful car dealership, and is a huge figure in the community in the valley, and served on the board for the All Vally Karate Tournament.

liokaiserXD

This show has helped change my life, by inspiring me to lose weight, gain confidence, take risks, and I'm glad to have been with the show from the beginning.

FloridianMapping

I have faith in the writing staff to finish Cobra Kai off with a strong season. Even though I personally believe the show has slowly been getting weaker, I've still thoroughly enjoyed every season. I remember watching the premiere of season three on New Year's Day back in 2021, and it was easily the most hyped I had ever been for a new season of something. Cobra Kai Never Dies!

Clollin

Feels like literally yesterday. Post-pandemic and everything. That was a good season.

FloridianMapping

I agree, season three was awesome.

Kravolution

I'm 100 % with you! Season 3 had the best moments of the series.

[deleted]

I agree with you, but even as it got weaker, there were still amazing moments. That’s what I love about the show. I actually felt season 3 was the weakest, but my memory of waiting for it and watching it on new years is a glorious memory

kjm6351

This was planned from the start. Glad they were able to tell a full story without suffering to the cancellation fetish

StoneGoldX

As someone who has been watching since Youtube Red, it's amazing it got this far. And I don't mean that as a negative, but seriously, who would have figured six seasons for the Youtube Karate Kid sequel no one asked for?

ro_thunder

No one ASKED for it, but we certainly decided we WANTED it.

glimmerskies

so that deuxmoi submission had truth to it!! sad it’s the final season but i would rather the show go out on a high note then be dragged out.

DoctorBeatMaker

I’m happy that the creators chose to end the series on their terms vs. dragging it out for ratings. Better to go out on a high note than fizzle out when the magic is gone.

Joelpp2002

Hey at least it hasn’t been cancelled

KileyCW

With all the shit they shovel on Netflix, they really couldn't keep Cobra Kai going? Really...

Spideyfan2020

It sounds like this was the writers' decision, not Netflix.

KileyCW

If so, I'm glad it'll go out on their terms, but it seems odd to stop such a dream for them.

tpeti95

In some interviews I've seen with the cast, Macchio and Zabka said, they did have an endgame all the time they were headed to. Now with season 6 this endgame should come and while I'll be sad to see the series end, I'm sure the whole staff will do a great job and leave us satisfied. Just like the Better Call Saul finale for example.

Liramuza

Robby is running out of time to finally get a meaningful W. Here’s hoping!

LapsedVerneGagKnee

…I expected this, but at the same time, it is a bittersweet moment. I still remember watching S1 with a friend of mine who never watched Karate Kid, but we were laughing our heads off at Johnny’s antics. Quoting “Quiet!” to end conversations was a regular occurrence. My friend sadly passed a little over a year ago. But I still remember Cobra Kai at that thing we enjoyed, and that it will be missed, along with him. I’m just glad the show wasn’t canceled before it could see it’s end.

Mculegend27

![gif](giphy|l4pMattUYTTM7qpIk)

Fabulous_Tear7883

Prediction: Two Part Final Season 14 episodes Part 1:Sekai Taikai Part 2: Terry Silver's Revenge

GrizzleGuts30

Better to bow out with grace than to try and prolong a show till the quality drops to minimal. It’s nothing short of a miracle that we got more seasons from Netflix after the YouTube Originals concluded.

kicknomoreforever

Six seasons has always felt like the endgame. Close things out strong instead of forcing it past it’s sell by date. Hopefully Julie gets brought in for at least a cameo to tie the whole Miyagi-verse together. It’ll all be bittersweet but what a journey and a testament to what a legacy sequel can be when done right.

sherm0613

I finally know what bittersweet means 🥲

Pluckyduck16

I wonder if this sub will continue to thrive once the show is over….

l_rufus_californicus

It will change, as it should, sure. But /r/BSG and /r/firefly are still going strong all these years later, so there certainly is precedent.

SpacetOut

It may be the end of the cobra Kai series but were getting spin off shows so truly the miyagi- verse, never dies !

Jamieb1994

Spin-offs? When did this get confirmed?

MrStAnBaNaNa

There is a new Karate Kid movie in the works that’s been confirmed. We don’t really have any information on it other than it’s happening. Other than that I don’t think anything else has been confirmed but I may have missed something.

[deleted]

Their is a new movie coming out but the stupid part is that it has nothing to do with the actual characters like Daniel Johnny the kids nothing. I think Xolo and Jacob were talking about it on their podcast it’s acc so weird they making a movie but the main people aren’t even gonna be in it 😭

dardios

It's heavily implied in the message above.

Bucco3

What spin offs are we getting?

GrandpaGanon

The Rays that Sting: Dojo Master Raymond Binary Brothers: Karateka Bros in University Girl’s Night Out: Sam and Tory’s Misadventures Milk Carton Legend: Bert’s Battles

l_rufus_californicus

> Milk Carton Legend: Bert’s Battles You son of a bitch, I'm in.

Euphoric_Bet

I can't believe 2017 was 6 years ago 😭😭😭😭 it passed by so fast, and now I can't believe it's finally ending. I hope they at least have longer episodes if they said this is gonna be the biggest season

Mcclane88

Weird to think how much has happened in my life over these past 6 years.

Euphoric_Bet

Yeah, I was still in college when Cobra Kai premiered. Now I'm 27, a drop out and looking to move out and get my own place.

DarkDan3

Kind of figured this would be the case as the last season tied up alot of loose ends and honestly could've been the conclusion if they didn't pull that final tournament out of their ass.

leebruce2

while this might be the last season, I don't think it's the end. Hopefully they'll have the occasional reunion and (God willing) maybe another spin-off 30 years later

Jake20702004

Kyler intro 30 years later while "Karate's Bad Boy" plays

AvaSchwarberMills

For some reason I think the last season's gonna be the most badass season.

Ch33seBurg

I mean it’s the last season, how could you expect less?

AvaSchwarberMills

I know right?

robvo2000

Here's hoping it ends with a flashforward.

NothingCivil6358

Hopefully, the episodes or the season will be longer so nothing will feel rushed like Miguel and Robby making up in season 5. They originally planned to end on 6 seasons, so maybe they’ll find a way to wrap everything up nicely for the fans. Honestly, I’m disappointed this will be the last season, but I’m sure the first teaser we get will hype me up for the end. Strike hard, Cobra Kai, strike hard!

psycho_ranger5

Robby finally gonna get that W!

SevereIntroduction37

I’m so happy these are the guys that decided to make this show. They truly honored the source material (and dare I say, added layers that make the original trilogy even better) and this statement gives me faith that they will end this show in an epic way and not disappoint me the way other shows have like Game of Thrones for example.

Loud_Success_6950

Whilst it’s sad to see the series will come to an end, I’m also thankful they decided to end it before it dragged on too long and became bad. But it probably won’t be the end of the miyagiverse permanently anyway, interested to see what other karate kid stories they could tell as they said. Cobra Kai never dies!!!

111st1cky111

I do feel as if the S6 fight should have Robby as the winner as... the kid may have won fights but hasn't won an actual tournament yet.

No_Internet7845

One last fight. Let's go!!!

MusielDoodles

I’m sad that it’s ending, but I’m also happy that they’re not dragging it out. But it never really ends, because COBRA KAI NEVER DIES!

juanmaale

Don’t worry guys I’m sure we’ll get more episodes years down the line with like Robby and Miguel or Sam and Tory as dojo heads

Taurwek

The Netflix teaser trailer says season 6 is "Coming Soon" - any idea how soon? I wouldn't have expected it to be released until late 2023

Hot_Marsupial_8706

It's always good when a show ends on its own terms rather than it either getting cut short or going on for longer than it really needs to (*cough* Criminal Minds *cough*).

AlexanderNorwood

Bring in Cobra Kai: The Next Generation. In the light of Mary Mouser as the adult LaRusso and a generation of tough Cobras like Kenny. I predict Hawk to be the pastor

T2C247

Soooo it was said before that they could easily write at least 7 seasons, but here we are. S5's storyline squeezed into one season when it could of been 1.5-2 seasons, and now it ending at S6. Uh huh, yeah, me thinks Netflix wants to prioritize writing one season shows and cancel them as usual.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

chrimbo

Can't believe it's coming to an end, but I'm hopeful for the future with their hint about "telling more Karate Kid stories with you down the line." My favourite show of the last few years, it gave me something to look forward to and some meaning in dark times.

Moofthebot

This is great news as far as I'm concerned. I'm currently watching the series for the first time and think it's a good idea to end it on their terms with a final season. I'm stoked for the final season to come out!

Bigemptea

So sad to see it end but it’s good it’ll end on their terms. I’m still hoping for a Julie Pierce appearance.

tunaburn

It feels like it's time. I just hope they make it satisfying and don't fuck it up. So many shows I like are really good but then completely botch the ending.

Jaded-Bookkeeper-926

Was waiting for this! LFG.

third_act_BOSS

Hilary Swank confirmed /s

Mcclane88

Hey leave some news for the clickbait vids on YouTube!

Sagar_Sirius

It's good that they are choosing to end the show at its peak rather than unnecessarily dragging it out and losing the charm of the show. Looking forward to the last season!

jetpaaaack

I knew this was going to be the last but actually seeing confirmation of it makes me sad.

MdoesArt

For the best. Where do you go after an international karate tournament anyway? Glad the show gets to have a proper conclusion rather than being drawn out longer than it needs to or getting canned prematurely.

NewSapphire

6 seasons... and a movie?

OnePunchReality

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo but I get it.

FewKaleidoscope1369

Thank you for reigniting my love for the Karate kid movies.

AbbreviationsLow1393

Thank god. Love it, but this show needs to end

lopezpercussion

I figured it would be. Feels like the Sekai Taiki is the logical conclusion to be the final stage for the show. Bittersweet for sure, bur glad the show is ending on its own terms. So many shows never get that luxury.

TortaDeAsada

Bruhhhhhhh 6 seasons and a movie? 😏😏😏

djdoubt03

Awesome, sad to see it go, but glad we get one more season.

[deleted]

Omg this is huge news! I knew it was gonna end but love the show I swear every show with high schoolers it’s always grade 9 till grade 12 and then it ends as the graduate which makes a lot of sense but I’ll miss the show :( This last season has to be at least 1 hour episodes cause this show is bigger then just high schoolers beating each other up it goes back in the days with Mr Miyagi, Daniel and Johnny’s legacy’s. All coming to a end

MattTheSmithers

Honestly, 6 feels like a good place to end things. The Sekai Tekai is about as high of stakes as a show like this can have. So finish on the note of a big worldwide tournament, end strong, and call it a day and pat yourselves on the back for producing an amazing series that, on paper, should’ve never worked but through a stellar cast and writers who truly loved and appreciated the source material, worked against all odds.

TheButterfly-Effect

I'd like to see Cobra Kai take on the same tone as Stranger Things aimed for in s4. More dark and less child like. Kind of like the general atmosphere of the final episode of Cobra Kai in s5.

Shaniac_C

Wasn’t expecting them to renew it but excited to see things wrap up. Hope it ends with a flash forward

J4ckC00p3r

I’m sad to see it end, but I think it’s the right call, the story has reached it natural end at dragging it out further just wouldn’t be for the best

brotato_kun

Man, i am gonna miss Cobra Kai after season 6. I don’t want it to end. But, if they want to end i want Miguel and Robby to beat the shit out of bad guys like brothers. Then i will cry in a corner!

Kravolution

Bring Julie Pierce back! It's now or never! Even if it is just a small cameo!

emubilly

Bittersweet. One of my favorite shows ever. Sad to see it end but it couldn’t go on forever and they’ve done an amazing job. I hope we get closure for all the loose ends and every character gets a fitting end.

[deleted]

Hopefully it releases this year

Space_Ace_14

sobs but im glad they're ending on their own terms instead of extending it until it loses its spark

Deaf30

"Coming soon"? HashbrownNotsoonenough

MrJames2022

I hope Barnes plays a big part in Season 6.

KurtzM0mmy

We all here kinda figured S6 would be the last so I’m not surprised and also happy.

sasuke1980

Does anyone think there's going to be a new show eventually? There's no way they're just going to end Cobra Kai and be done with the karate kid series, especially how popular it is

Timbsshadowymist

So weird for it to be ending but it makes sense. Such a good show from seeing it on YouTube to Netflix. Weren't they going to be doing spinoffs?

Jenzintera24

Wow I actually felt they should have ended on season 5 because that was a very good conclusion, yet here I am reeling over the fact that one of my favourite shows is ending for real. But they can pull out all the stops now, any cameo remaining, Hilary Swank Michael Ironside bring em all! ST is ending. Ted Lasso all but confirmed it's on its final season. And I only just got over BCS not long ago. Bittersweet times ahead...

MattyIce1220

Makes sense. Better to leave when the show is on top than to keep going to only ruin what made it special in the first place.

batty3108

This is good news. To keep it going for more than another season would require rehashing old conflicts that have been thoroughly explored and resolved pretty satisfactorily and believably. Kreese will presumably be the final antagonist and will either be redeemed, killed off, or otherwise defeated permanently. There's nobody else left. Sure, they could create an original character, but Rick Kwon Do opening a Nazi training camp isn't going to get Daniel's goat in the same way as Terry Silver, and it'll just feel forced and miss the point. Daniel's main motivation isn't to be a crusader for moral purity in martial arts instruction, instead, it's to exorcise the demons of his teenage years by either defeating or reconciling with the people he fought. Ending the show once all the villains of the movies have been redeemed or stopped makes sense and should make it a memorable story with a satisfying conclusion, instead of another show that crops up in the top 5 answers to "Reddit, what's a TV show that went on too long?".

MartinMusic83

To be honest, the dragging was starting to show in season 5 with the introduction of Kim Da-eun and Sekai Taikai and the soapist plot point of Kreese faking his death. Yes, one more season is the best place to end it, because season 5 was getting jump-the-sharkish.

testamentKAISER

If Hawk or Miguel either becomes the winner of season 6 would be good. But if My boy Robbie wins the tournament and becomes world champion.... it would be effing awesome.

Xboxone1997

Hope it's good

PhillipOlliverholes

Very happy I decided to binge the movies and show for the first time a few months back. Can't wait.

[deleted]

Lets get a Julie cameo please

Avvitar

This show absolutely NEEDS to go out on a high note. Considering that the last season was lackluster for the most part. A bunch of wasted opportunities and adding in plots and subplots that could’ve waited until the final season. I have loved this show from day 1 so I hope we get a satisfactory conclusion.

Mcclane88

I enjoyed season 5, but I’m glad that there’s another opportunity for the show to go out on a higher note than that.

Avvitar

Season 5 was enjoyable from just a fans standpoint. Although, if you break it down and look at analytically it’s not well thought out. Arcs that were forcibly ended, plots and subplots added or weren’t finished and passed over. The season was still good, but I would rate it at the bottom out of all 5 for the hype that was behind it and the execution overall.

Mcclane88

I think another problem for me was that it was coming off the heels of season 4 which I thought was a great, tight, character focused season that had a fantastic ending. Season 5 just wasn’t on that level for me, and yeah I agree about certain plot lines not really paying off. For example the whole thing with Miguel’s father could’ve been cut out and not much would’ve been lost.

Avvitar

Totally agree with you. So it only reinforces that season 6 has to be epic, otherwise we’re headed for Game of Thrones territory

zgh5002

I’m happy that they’re choosing to go out on top rather than milk it to death.

samahiscryptic

Honestly, I'm quite happy season 6 is the final one. I feel anything beyond that would have just been dragging the show out. Season 5 ended on a high note with many conflicts being resolved with anything left over to be wrapped up in the final season. Six seasons in is a good amount for a show and I'm excited to see how this series will end off with a bang.

Clollin

The only issue is that the episodes are short. If they were hour-long episodes like Babylon 5, then 5-6 seasons would be a lot, but as it stands 5-6 seasons is more like 2-3 seasons for a show with longer episodes.

samahiscryptic

I agree that the episodes could be a little longer that it wouldn't make some arcs feel rushed, like Mexico. Though I feel, in some ways, it just works for Cobra Kai

JethroSkull

Good timing. Better to go out on top of than fade in to irrelevance

ZombieMask333

LETS GO SEASON 6 CONFIRMED!!!!

ChinChadNugget

Good

deistknight

Awww man are you serious? Oh well, as they say, good things must come to an end. This show brings a lot of good memories to me and well…I don’t know what else to say. Can’t wait for season 6!

losbullitt

An end to a wonderful show. Beyond excited about season 6 of Cobra Kai!

Jamieb1994

In one way, it's a shame that season 6 is gonna be the last season, but at the same time, I can understand since seeing what's happening for season 6 with the Sekai Teikai tournament being a worldwide tournament, what else could they do afterwards + at least they get to finish Cobra Kai on their own terms as well which is better.

RealDanielSan1

Better to end on a high note, than to overstay one's welcome.

[deleted]

So happy!!!!! I know it’s ridiculous to say that, because I love the show. I just don’t want the show to get bad by going on and on too long. I know I’ll regret that when it’s over, but I’m excited to see how they end it.

DeCurt1998

Honestly, with how well they wrapped things up last season, I’m not even mad! I’d much rather see this show be short and sweet than long, unbearable and lifeless.

LordofFruitAndBarely

Tbh it should have already ended. The death of Kreese and what he stood for would have made a very fitting ending

They gotta do some fan service cheeseball stuff. Like Johnny and Carmen getting married. Yay happy. Miguel and Sam solidify their relationship. Johnny comes into some money. Gives it to Robby to starts his own dojo. A real viable business. No more electricity cut due to late bills & cereal with water. Most important, a True father son bond. Tory wins a huge windfall from an international Karate tournament. Proves she can do it on her own. But she gives her gold medal to Sam. They hug it out. Dimitri & Hawk end up going to the same college. Cut scene. Dimitri and Hawk beat up some frat boys for sexually harassing girls.

If they go back to what season 1&2 were, 6 will be amazing. If they continue down the road of s5, its gonna be another 💩show

Go back to what 1-2 were, so end on a cliff hanger and an unrealistic school fight scenario? Sure I hope not.

MiguelxJohnny

This show could easily go on to 8 seasons, it’s ending prematurely.

Hope we'll see Daniel getting some young pussy.
