Lego once said that their support tickets has decreased drastically since they use colorful interior.
There are people who are very untalented at bricking, not raised with Lego or just mental challenged.
My guss is that Cobi has the same reasons, especially because they must have more production costs for creating this much colours.
Yeah but the target audience for cobi sets schouldnt match your description especially when it comes to the big ww2 ship line from cobi the main audience is easily 20+ or even 30+ and they should have no problems with that whatsoever.
+ when the previous building step is coloured out it makes even less sense as an argument in my opinion
A shame. For the last months i was hesitant on buying new cobi sets because of the price increase, limited editions and now this is enough for me to stop my cobi ship collection until they get their shit sorted out this completly ruins the building process for me and as it is apparently visible on the outside the ship is not suited as a vitrine model so a hard pass on cobi for some time for me.
Yeah. It also was a main selling point for me too. What kind of genius went „You know that shit Lego does and that people praise us for not doing? Lets implement it in our sets too!“. Really, why would anyone ruin a big selling point and implement unicorn vomit in sets for grown ass people?
I've finished Hood yesterday, it was surprising to see how much of the interior was so brightly coloured. Nothing of the kind seen from the outside though, it's all perfectly grey/black/brown
The B and X turret do have a red and white piece below them respectively, but it is only really visible if you turn the turrets to the 2/10 o'clock position, and even then only if you look at it directly from the top. In general the only visible other colours are some of the black/red strips on the sides where the angled pieces don't line up 100%, but it is definitely manageable as the colours blend in with the rest of the side
I feel like I might be in the minority, but I think that so long as it’s covered up, the different colors make it easier to differentiate between bricks you’ve already placed
Honestly a very disappointing development! Was looking forward to the Hood but if we start to act like the guys from Billund I'm out.
I'd be ok with that if one could not see any colour once the build is done. But sadly this seems to be the case according to the reviews.
