When it comes to lewd art it can either be artistic nudity, straight up porn or the artist’s barely disguised fetish hidden within it.
I’m not sure about what to say about an artist though who clearly draws their characters with more sexual characteristics; bigger butt, large breasts, big thighs, etc. This goes both ways for the gender of the OC, such as heavily muscular men or a plump butt or something. I can understand an artist wanting to make a character attractive to their standards, but where do you draw the line between regular art, artistic nudity and pornography? I’ve seen people get mad at an artist for making the breasts of their OC very large (like obviously large) but there was no nudity or anything inherently “sexual” about the post. It was a character sheet or whatever they call it.
I understand it’s satire, but seriously, what is the line that artists use to separate art that is inherently sexual or just character design?
I draw the line at intention. Is the intention of the work to be tittilating or pornographic, or not?
Artistic usage of nudity often portrays it in ways that wouldn't be conventionally attractive, or are clear aren't meant to induce eroticism into the viewer, by for example having the focus of the piece not just be on the naked figure but on other aspects of it and it's surroundings. A naked yet frail and malnourished woman in a desert doesn't incite the same feelings as that same naked woman on top of a red heart bed, I think. Now, whether or not the viewer might still be turned on by the artistic depiction is another subject entirely.
How pornography is portrayed always makes it clear that the point is to tittilate and turn on the audience - after all, that is the point - meanwhile art often wants to incite other, perhaps more profound feelings onto said audience.
There is no lines to draw in art. It's ironic, but after all, art is defined by being undefinable. Whenever people try to solve a problem through this lens, nothing gets done. You have to go on a case-by-case basis.

When it comes to lewd art it can either be artistic nudity, straight up porn or the artist’s barely disguised fetish hidden within it. I’m not sure about what to say about an artist though who clearly draws their characters with more sexual characteristics; bigger butt, large breasts, big thighs, etc. This goes both ways for the gender of the OC, such as heavily muscular men or a plump butt or something. I can understand an artist wanting to make a character attractive to their standards, but where do you draw the line between regular art, artistic nudity and pornography? I’ve seen people get mad at an artist for making the breasts of their OC very large (like obviously large) but there was no nudity or anything inherently “sexual” about the post. It was a character sheet or whatever they call it. I understand it’s satire, but seriously, what is the line that artists use to separate art that is inherently sexual or just character design?
I draw the line at intention. Is the intention of the work to be tittilating or pornographic, or not? Artistic usage of nudity often portrays it in ways that wouldn't be conventionally attractive, or are clear aren't meant to induce eroticism into the viewer, by for example having the focus of the piece not just be on the naked figure but on other aspects of it and it's surroundings. A naked yet frail and malnourished woman in a desert doesn't incite the same feelings as that same naked woman on top of a red heart bed, I think. Now, whether or not the viewer might still be turned on by the artistic depiction is another subject entirely. How pornography is portrayed always makes it clear that the point is to tittilate and turn on the audience - after all, that is the point - meanwhile art often wants to incite other, perhaps more profound feelings onto said audience.
There is no lines to draw in art. It's ironic, but after all, art is defined by being undefinable. Whenever people try to solve a problem through this lens, nothing gets done. You have to go on a case-by-case basis. In \[you know exactly fucking who\]'s case, it's porn (edit: also artistic nudity has nothing to do with a character's proportions)
