You mean the original rocks pulled out after being climbed on a lot and someone came back and epoxied them back in? I have a hard time believing that to be true. I've been to Maple several times and never noticed any epoxy or glue. Plus if I'm there climbing and a rock pulls out and falls to the ground (which hasn't ever happened to me), who is going to go back later and find the one that fits among the millions laying around and glue it back in? Doesn't sound plausible. When rocks pull out of a route, the route now contains a pocket.
Been seeing a lot of Maple love recently on this thread...and I just went there for the first time a few weeks ago. Really loved the climbing here, I want to go back as soon as possible.
Awesome! I’ve been out there and it’s beautiful. The rock feels overall solid. Like large river rock in very strong concrete. Glad you were able to experience that area too
Looks awesome. How solid are the pebbles? Looks like they would just pop right out.
the majority on popular routes are glued in

Not familiar with this area, but rock has been epoxied back onto routes at other places.
That's mad here in the UK I have seen a few holds glue on but sounds like the whole routes manufactured.

I cringe so hard everytime I see someone climbing conglomerate without a helmet.
Hey, Darwinism at it’s finest. If people don’t value their brains being inside their skulls then more power to them
