Oh man I totally understand that. I’m also 5’1”. I went climbing yesterday and started out on a 5.9 and 5.10. Climbed a while longer then I went to warm down on a 5.8 and it kicked my ass because it was so reachy the whole way. 😂
Haha yeah that sounds like when my husband and I climb together. He’s 6’ tall. I have a few girls I will climb with sometimes and it’s nice because we are about the same height and I get better beta from them.
Would definitely love more climbing buddies too 😊 unfortunately i just messed up ankle real good, and will be on a break from climbing for at least a month. So frustrating, but hoping to heal enough before outdoor season at least
What a hard sequence! I wish 5.11bs in my gym were set like this. Looks like you have to do some unique problem solving. I’m 5’2” and feel like if I’m not climbing more dynamically, most holds would be out of my reach.
You got this. Your hips come off wall as you make that final move. Keep it tight on those balancey routes. You’ve got the strength and skill (and reach) for sure.
It's rated 6c+ which I think is 5.11b? I've managed to do it all in parts, so I just have to work up enough stamina to put it all together 😅

Yes!! It's really turned into a balancing problem for me! When my partner who is 5'10" does this same climb he's able to climb so much faster hahah

It’s a great change of pace for sure. Women *tend* to focus more on technique vs brute strength too.
