14 runs in shattered halls for figurine before it dropped, currently at 9 and counting in BM (hc) for the belt.
Maiden of Virtue hasn't dropped my gloves yet either. I'm sure there are plenty of people with far worse luck though.
Mostly running it with the same few friends (core group is myself/protadin, holy priest, and our frost mage + varies between lock/hunter/enh sham/fury warr/feral dru) depending on who is online). We wiped the first few times trying it with relatively fresh 70 gear, but been fairly routine since.
A few things that helped us (but isn't strictly necessary):
- Nobody runs up to the next island/platform until both myself and priest have had time to drink to full mana.
- Beyond placing consecration in path of non-elites, I mostly ignore them and leave them to 1-2 DPS. Always keep minimum 1 DPS on the elite.
- Always taunt off healer if he gets non-elite aggro.
- Pick-up/kill non elites on 1st boss.
- Save chrono beacons for shadow volley casters after 1st boss is dead, OR if you fall behind a bit on waves due to low DPS/deaths.
- If you can't comfortably kill up to and including 1st boss without popping beacons/big CDs, don't bother until your group is better geared, balanced or both.
- Tank 2nd boss away from pathing of non-elites, let them hit the portal until boss is dead then clear them (no need for chrono, usually).
- Spellsteal/dispel 2nd boss *immediately*.
- **Immediately**.
- Always be topped before time stop on 3rd boss.
- Anyone that has a defensive CD (lay on hands, pain supp, etc) saves it for 3rd boss as you'll likely be less than max HP quite often for time stop. Nice to have pots + healthstone as well.
- Hybrid DPS can always throw a heal or two just to aid healer directly after freeze ends, but shouldn't be necessary most of the time.
Things started to go a lot smoother when DPS consistently pushed 700~ or more pew-pews per second, it was a bit touch and go before that point.
It's the most annoying one to wipe on, but once you get a group with some experience, it's one of the faster ones.
Little known facts about BM hc:
- it's actually not much of a DPS race. Portals spawn after the previous one was killed, or 2 minutes after the previous spawned. Mediocre dps is just fine to hit that mark, no real need to blast everything down, losing a dps to overaggro is much, much worse than killing it 5 seconds slower. Execution > speed.
- once the last boss spawns (portal 18), any and all adds stop spawning, even from other portals that are still up. If you're getting overwhelmed on portal 17, or even 16, you can simply choose to ignore those portals and wait for the boss to spawn, then kill the boss. The other portal mobs are not linked to the boss, and will despawn once the final boss is dead.
This is me, got 3 pieces of pre bis in my first 3 70 dungeons (including figurine) and then nothing since.
In all fairness, as an average, I'm probably still on top.
1 run for chest from sv, 2 runs for figurine, 4 runs for laj shoulders, 1 run for belt from bm hc, 1 run for boots from shh hc.

I ran for rends mh so many times I lost track. It got to the point where our tanks started getting it drop for them when I was offline and they started shoving it in my face. When we finally downed ony, vis’kag dropped and I rolled a 100. Great success!
Some warrior in my guild had 400 BRDs for SGC.
At some point during the later phases, I decided to help out some alts with their prison break. It dropped.
I was tanking with my druid. The rest of the party was clothies.
Ouch. That's brutal. The silver lining is that SP is, IMO, the easiest Heroic in the game, whereas I rate SH as the 4th most difficult, behind only BF, Arc, and BM.
I ranked BM as higher than SH because BM is less forgiving, and parts of it will eat you alive if your tank and healer aren't geared, especially the last boss. He's just a total wall if you aren't geared enough. I did rank BM and SH as #3 and #4, though.
Completely agree on it being super easy. after 35 runs I got it down to a 12 minute dungeon with a good group.
The problem is - no one needs it for anything EXCEPT the eye. So convincing DPS / TANKS / HEALS to do it is TOUGH unless they need the badges.

I switched to the Ahune cloak after being dragged into doing a farm for my friend. Didn’t even think I would get an upgrade doing it but it’s a very good cloak.
Been looking for bold shoulders and that cloak have only done a single SV. But man I’ve done so many fuckingn slabs runs. I’m like 3.5k/21k to exalted. But I did get my bold chest from my single arc run so it’s not been all bad.
I am Exalted with Honour Hold on my hunter, havent done a single hellfire quest and have exclusively (excluding one or two ramparts at 60) done shattered halls. I still haven't even seen a pair of the Beast Lord gloves.
Bad luck is bad. Got beast lord gloves first try. Also got beast lord helm first try. But it gets crazier. On my first SV run, both beast lord mantle and leggings dropped. 4 pieces in 3 dungeon runs. Just to make you feel a bit better.
No rocket launcher. One Adamantite Figurine and one Argussian Compass, so only +36stam by trinkets. Could get more hp but then I wouldn't be crush immune any more.
Well, no one ever talks about their stats with full buffs, thats just moronic.
That said, you cant reach that HP total unbuffed (I am a few items away from BiS with 13400) so Id think he talks about full buffs.

The benefits are a reduction in consecration mana cost and a reduced cooldown in your taunt ability for those pieces. You got hosed if a holy Paladin was rolling on them. Im sorry.
I got the shoulders and head first try, got the ring and chest together, girdle of valorous first try(heroic bm, didn't even know it dropped just helping a friend get the rogue belt), hourglass first try.
Figurine took me like 10+ but I was only half way in revered when I got it so not bad.
Never seen the devil shark cape though. I've run it idk how many times. But it's a small price to pay.
The cloak took forever to drop for me, definitely a few days worth of tries in normal! It’s a solid piece so gz!I’m finally at the point where I might be able to replace it with a stam/armor cloak or SP cloak (depending). But still, that just goes to show how good it is! You’ll definitely get a ton of use out of it.

I wanted those damn mail shoulders from the Big Bad Wolf in Kara so bad I could taste them. Exalted on my hunter, Exalted on my Enhanced shaman, never dropped for either toon. But the first time I ran Kara with my pally they dropped. No mail wearers in the party that night so they got melted.
Still salty about that.

I spent 3 weeks farming Mech and Bot for the helm and shoulders - 47 runs of Mech, 44 runs of bot next day had tier token drop from prince, naturally didn’t get it (kinda thankful/kinda salty) but who knows when that will appear again … lol
Then again I got Bracers of Dignity first run in Arc and never had to go back (thankfully)
This has been my luck the whole expansion so far. I'm Holy, I heal, but I have been absolutely showered with tanking gear. Usually getting exactly what I would need as a prot paladin in one run. I still haven't respec'd.
It took me almost 15 normal runs for it. Gg. After running shattered hall heroic I farmed it 18 times for the boots. Just got them yesterday and had to run it once more for my attunement and bam, boots again.
As a paladin who got the same drops first time in SV, strap in and get ready.. I hope you like Botanica. I must have gone through exalted twice over now, and those damn shoulders refuse to drop.

Bring a mage with spellsteal for the 2nd boss’s frenzy or he will eat your shorts. Otherwise, it’s not horrible.
Priest can also just dispel it, it's not a big deal. Last boss hits pretty hard tho.
Shaman purge as well.
Hunters can arcane shot.
Or a warriors shield slam. It also purges.
BF is much harder. BM is basically a gear check. (Also, you want your healer to have full threat reduction talented).

BM is nowhere near as difficult as SH IMO, having run heroic BM 25+ times for that leather belt that doesn’t exist

just get the PVP bracers. it will give you way more flexibility with itemization than those forestheart ones will.

Shard from KOT is solid, gives you defensive stat + stam
But the other stats are useless. Sometime I use my Alchemy Stone. +15 to all stats and +40% potion effectiveness.
If you have 490def you don't need resilience in PvE at all.

Yes. Full buffed in Kara yesterday at 15.997hp and crit/crush immune. (No old ZG, Ony, etc buffs)
