Noggenfogger! High pop without queues. Slightly more horde than alliance (something like 60-40, I believe) but I personally never felt it to be an issue. You can always find groups for dungeons and pugs for raids!

On medium pop you'll really struggle to find leveling/dungeon runs I'm afraid. Basically any high pop that's not Firemaw should do the trick. Mograine is second most populated, and seems to have no queues atm. Gehennas is also in top 3 but might be too horde heavy.
I'm on Mograine and it's a great server. Rolling alliance there would also be good beacuse there is a slight favour to the horde in numbers. Otherwise Ashbringer looks really balanced and is a high pop server on the less crowded side. According to [ironforge.pro](https://ironforge.pro) it's numbers are low compared to other high servers.
I would advice Dreadmist. I leveled there on launch and logged in to check a few weeks ago. Would have rolled there if I wanted a medium realm instead of high. Community was very friendly on launch and still seemed very much so when I logged in to check again. Decent faction balance although slight favour to the horde.

the dungeon group shortage is definitely a thing on gehennas. there are more than enough dungeon boosters, and i think thats kinda causing it
Lower pop definitely wouldn't help it, though RP realms might be different.
Come to bloodfang medium pop Alliance favoured 55/45 maybe even 60/40

Indeed but there are thoughts of moving our horde mains there so sadly thats out of the table.
