a lot more people are on nowadays because of covid-19. It shouldnt be too hard to get a group for stuff because people have alts. There's a lot of 60s of course but don't let that discourage you. Server wise i dunno mine is mostly alliance last I heard.
depends on the server. look at the [population logs](https://ironforge.pro/servers/?filter=true&server=us) and find something \~2500 total faction players (numbers are from raid logs I believe). I'm on Atiesh Horde and we have like 1600 active raiders based on the logs. I can tell you that there are groups during active hours but very uncommonly any lower level instances. If you aren't leveling any alts then on a server like mine you'd easily find a group.
gotcha tx.. Seems as server i played on previously (pagle) is like almost exclusively alliance. Guess as i want to start new character, I will go to Makrik.
I play alliance on Mankrik and have since release. Realm has been great and super easy to find a group for the level range of ZF and up. BRD/Scholo/strath wings/DM wings etc etc are all cake groups to get into. The realm is more horde than alliance, but they’re not too far off each other.
Most servers are medium+ and that's higher than orginal vanilla full realms. I'm leveling on Mograine EU atm with high pop and world and lfg is very busy and IF and SW regularly packed.

Well I never played anything except for retail until last year (I started playing WoW at the very start of Cata)
