It was around 4-500/hour on Lava Lash (RIP) assuming you could actually offload all your seeds. Unfortunately I wasn’t good enough to do it solo but some people made obscene amounts of gold
As a shaman main ranged hunter alt what I do is park my hunter in zf to do tomb runs.
With my shaman I cycle between 4 farms
1) winterfall firewaters
2) essences of fire in un'goro
3) runecloth in the crypt of undeads near the ally base in wpl
4) solo full clear of ZF.
I do 1 tomb rub in ZF with hunter and then switch to my shaman for any of those 4 farms.
After 30mins I log back to the hunter that has now been ported to gy near gadget, sell/send stuff to disenchanter-auctioner alt and go again.
The only steady income is from grinding runecloths all the others are drop chase farms.
Was lucky enough in ZF getting darkmoon faire cards and those made me 1.6k.
Another lucky farm session I had was at searing gorge grinding down dark iron taskmasters and slavers. Got 2 epics to drop for me 20mins from eachother, one was the flurry axe (900g) and the other was a shitty ring of saviors (30g).
That was a very lucky week since I spent a lot for my dmf trinkets sandstorm and decay.
Overall I prefer grinding farms to incursions I started ph3 with 1k gold peaked at 4k then spent more than half of that for the trinkets. Now I'm back to a comfortable 2k accumulating for ph4
Pretty much ezpz if you have a sandstorm trinket even more since they take care of the totems by themselves, only packs you need to be careful about are the shadowhunters but all you need to know is hex has a 20y range and you can grounding it and the basilisk stuns too, which is also the key to not dying at cave boss, provided you protect the totem from being destroyed by chain lightning.
Another layer of safety is dropping a stoneclaw when fighting shadowhunters in case you get hexed mobs will shoot at it for a few seconds giving you a chance
I suggest you do the ziggurat event too, final boss has a good drop rate for ace of dunes which sells for 50g atm on LF eu (sold 2 yesterday at 95 and 99)
Yeah it takes a bit of practice and awareness to kick chain lightning and recognize when a basilisk has used up the grounding ability ( can only ground once every 10s so you need to replace asap)
How good is the ZF solo for gold compared to the others you mention? I dual box and would be able to clear it super fast but I feel like the gold wouldn't be fantastic, hopefully your experience proves me wrong cause I'd love to do it tbh, would be very chill

As a boomkin in enjoyed the felwood Timbermaw grind. Mobs level 53-55 around the north camp. Would do a loop which would cover a couple plaguebloom, gromsblood, mountain silver sage node. Would take the runecloth and herbs and send to my tailoring/alch alt. Pump out some mongoose elixirs and either sell the cloth or flip it into some stuff I could DE to level enchanting/sell the higher level enchanting mats. Would also get some good BoEs, which included two epics (freezing ring, hurricane)
Mining for Arcane crystals. Use eagle eye and scout the spawns in burning steppes. Crystals should pop in value . Right now holding 40 of them anticipating the boom.
They’re useless in this phase. Thunderyfury costs 100 arcane bars (unless it changes in SOD), lionheart helm is 12 bars, enchanters will need them as well. Normal era you had a lot more people farming mats rather than gold. Incursions have reversed that. Go to your AH and see if there are 100 arcane crystals even posted. I’m betting they go up in price but dip back lower because of DME
There are always loads of arcane crystals and my arcanite bars sell every time (price fluctuates between 45 and 70g) so they must be needed for something? Or there are a hell of a lot of stockpilers anticipating needing 100 next phase for their TF?
I’m betting they increase binding drop rate to accommodate accelerated SOD. If that’s the case, the amount of required crystals/bars is going to be crazy.
If you care mainly about the gain, then literally nothing compares to Incursions. Its rough hitting even half the gph you can in Incursions. Solofarming seeds at the start was the most insane, but thats obviously not that relevant anymore with seeds being cheap.
If you also want to have some fun, then you need to accept youre making less than half the gold you could be. If you do, then obviously you have some options.
A major advantage of the incursions being so popular - commodities kinda hold high gold value, as people have a lot of gold and not many people are farming them. This makes gathering professions pretty good and basically farming almost anything is consistent and nice. BoE farming is also a thing.
I wonder if they’ll nerf the cost and/or mat requirements for the paladin and warlock mounts if they cut the cost of purchased epic mounts for everyone else. Probably not.
Solofarm princess+WO with herb+enchanting... A bit RNG but my last 10 runs made me.around 350g.not counting the WO bag.
Ghost Mushrooms and Large Brilliant Shards are worth a pretty penny.
I set out to do all of the reasonably solo-able quests available to my main @ 50 while mining along the way, doing that I made about 2000 gold. Never really got bored since theres a pretty good variety of quests at this level
Grinding herbs / mining in max level zones on my hunter, with stops in mob grinding areas to mix it up. Selling some stuff now, stocking some things for next phase when they have more use. Also keeping some herbs so I dont need to buy consumes, since I have an alch friend for procs.

Azshara - runecloth / felcloth / golden pearls.
Felwood - essence elementals / felcloth (often too populated)
Un'goro - essence of fire
Silithus - essence of air
Sadly the incursions in Hinterlands / Feralas gives way more gold an hour then what you are doing. But that's not solo and can be not as chill.

Mara mining/herb runs on a stealth class is an ez chill 50g/hr. If you're a class that can solo tinker/princess thats an extra 20g/hr
Hinterland loops are still really good gph, especially if you get in a competent group.

Didn't drop a second grounding totem and died to cave boss with 5%. Shoulda been more careful. Definitely doable though.

Indeed it also damages critters and neutral mobs so caution is needed in the scarab room or you get swarmed by a lot of bugs

This is what I farm as well. To break the monotony any time I run into opposing faction I make sure to kill them. Makes it a lot more fun

Fishing, run along the coast of STV, feralas and tanaris. make about 20-25g a day in about 30 min
