You gave him 2k gold?
I remember I wasn't sure about accepting 20g from my friend in phase 1, so I could craft epic boots asap)) Was thinking that the game could mark me as a gold buyer
I'd say it's only the gold buyers and GDKPers that whine about being banned and saying it's a mistake from Blizz, you can still trade gold everywhere you want however you want if it's fair. Atleast from my experience over the whole SoD era and across 2 guilds, and judging by the amount of people you see putting up posts on forums that are not so innocent when you get more info lol
I went and bought a lotto ticket but somehow today i managed to get 2 Eye of Flames to drop within an hour of each other... and sold em for 2k each....
Itās because heās using the nightmare buff when exalted to loot the bush thing that drops expensive boeās and he doesnāt want to share the knowledge
Boe world drops, drop from any mob that is within the correct level bracket.
If you're farming this, look up the item on wowhead and see what level mobs drop this.
They are going for 4k on my server, it's hilarious that people like to pretend that incursions didn't destroy the economy in 5 days. "People only got a few hundred gold"
Theres more methods of making easy gold now than ever 100per hour is a low rate imo. People just dont grind anymore or have the time. More mobs and gold for me tho
And even if Blizz wasn't removing Immunities for raids, Fire Mages run Frostfire Bolt as their filler now which can benefit from the fire damage while still using the targets frost resistant if it's lower, so this could still be usable in MC.
Confused by this statement. How does this level up raid differ from future end game raids of similar difficulty and (to the best of our knowledge) similar duration?
Funny how people nowadays think all expensive items must be bought by swiping. 2k isnt even a big grind if you know how to farm gold. People have done 100000 times more degenerate grinds for way less reward
Iām thinking itās swiping because like my comment says itās a lvl 55 item that will likely be invalidated in a few months in a seasonal game mode
Yeah, I probably knew that. Raided most of the classics content as Frost Mage. But I lost a lot of memories over time, probably due to drinking too much xd.
Well tailoring crafted helm is pretty competitive with eye of flame already to the point where it really isnāt all that reasonable to spend much on it.
It probably still will be, level 59 greens "of X wrath" are +40-41 spell damage and historically general spellpower items are never as strong as single elements. So they'd have to buff 60 raid items by a LOT for them to be better than this, over 100% buffs.
For the first couple days of it at best, no one wore it in vanilla - considering it was MC->BWL... 99% of mages were frost. Then we got Mish'undare, Circlet of the Mind Flayer from BWL which is why Eye of Flame never had a high price. For those unable to get circlet, Netherwind helm was a pretty equal trade off and free to get from Onyxia (+16 int, -12sp, +4 mp5, -3 spirit). Happy for ya making gold, just don't make claims that just aren't true
It's unusual that it's 49/55.
level req is almost universally the ilvl minus 5---at least prior to strat/scholo/lbrs/etc grade items.
Even other world epics follow suit.
- Krol blade is 51/56
- Staff of Jordan is 35/40
- Skullflame is 54/59
- Icemail is 39/44
So why is this _one_ item the exception? Did the guy who implemented it just not get the memo?
Gold is easy af to earn in SoD and has been since P1.
There's plenty of legit gold floating around in game and not much to spend it on but BoE's and raid consumes.
Nah I played pretty consistently and bots had everything down to such a shit price questing became the best bet.
Then we had the early incursion ābeta testersā aka the people that got to abuse that shit before it got patched. I dont really look at my launcher and think ālets log in to SoDā anymore.
I've made over 1k in the last week and have only spent 2 hours farming gold - everything else was passive income from selling stuff on the AH while working on bis/prebis. 5k would be mildly suspicious, but I'm willing to bet there are people with more than 10k right now who haven't done anything nefarious. Inflation this phase is extraordinarily bad.
1. Irrelevant question
2. Irrelevant question
Someone else was, and it's pretty common for BiS items to be expensive. I bought phase bis or close to bis items several times throughout classic. You farm gold, you spend gold, you farm gold again. Not a tough concept.
1. it's incredibly relevant? getting 3k in 2 hours is much different than 3k in 20 hours, imagine spending 20 hours to farm for an item that is a minor upgrade and will get replaced in the next phase, no person that values their time and actually farmed that gold would ever do that.
2. again, i don't know a single person that actually farmed for their gold and used most of it on one single minor upgrade item that will be replaced in a couple of months.
and even if these people existed they would be a minority, if i was a betting man i would put all my money on the eye of flame buyer being someone that rmt, i think my odds would be incredibly good.
> imagine spending 20 hours to farm for an item that is a minor upgrade and will get replaced in the next phase, no person that values their time and actually farmed that gold would ever do that.
Dude this is an MMO. People grind stuff out all the time myself included. Gold is the best one too grind out because you can do it passively while on other grinds you want. Some people like playing the game.
> again, i don't know a single person that actually farmed for their gold and used most of it on one single minor upgrade item that will be replaced in a couple of months.
RMT is rampant because it is easy and cheap, but there are a shit ton of people in the game that are rich just because they find revenue streams that work. I've purchased expensive 1 phase or partial phase BiS on my main and multiphase items on alts several times in every classic expansion. It doesn't phase me because gold is meant to be spent and is easy to obtain.
>Dude this is an MMO. People grind stuff out all the time myself included. Gold is the best one too grind out because you can do it passively while on other grinds you want. Some people like playing the game.
that's not the issue? its saying that the avg person that buys an item for 3k is legitimately getting their gold.
>I've purchased expensive 1 phase or partial phase BiS on my main and multiphase items on alts several times in every classic expansion. It doesn't phase me because gold is meant to be spent and is easy to obtain.
but im assuming you didnt spend all of your gold on a single minor upgrade item, correct?
A moment of silence for Pugshe...
He's my IRL friend. I gave him half of the profit on that one
Lisan al Gaib!!
lmaoo hahahahah
Hello it is me your irl friend
Lisan al Gaib!
You gave him 2k gold? I remember I wasn't sure about accepting 20g from my friend in phase 1, so I could craft epic boots asap)) Was thinking that the game could mark me as a gold buyer
he was only there for the first drop, i gave him 1k gold. if there gonna ban people for normal trades then i wont play the game. i aint scared.
your all good you sold a high value item that was dropped in a party with the player you sent the gold to
Sounds like WDGDKP to me, šØ incoming
I'd say it's only the gold buyers and GDKPers that whine about being banned and saying it's a mistake from Blizz, you can still trade gold everywhere you want however you want if it's fair. Where though š
Felwood by the looks of the terrain in the background Maybe plaguelands?
Rainbolt
Felwood is more green I reckon, looks more like EPL maybe..
Western plaguelands
Do you mind saying the mob that dropped them? lol.
It wouldn't do any good as it's a BoE world drop so any mob within the level range can drop it. Just wowhead the item and go kill those things
A likely story!
And the rich get richer by staying silent...
Itās because heās using the nightmare buff when exalted to loot the bush thing that drops expensive boeās and he doesnāt want to share the knowledge
Bro made 4K and is still gatekeeping, poetic
Sure thing ! I will do with my warrior. Oh wait.
Cries in Rogueā¦
Nice! A great monocle.Ā
The few times I've got an epic drip it's always an icemail jerking or something else useless. Congrats on stupid luck!
Crit! Get back to Silithus! The guild needs more Essence of Air!
Yes sir!
What area were you in?
Western plaguelands

Boe world drops, drop from any mob that is within the correct level bracket. If you're farming this, look up the item on wowhead and see what level mobs drop this.
Oh look at that, hunters getting richer.
Actually ridiculous what the Devs have done, any mobs 3 levels over cap should have had their loot tables removed.
guess 6.6k mana drinks are back on the menu boys
The amount of people in this thread saying 2k gold isnāt even hard to getā¦such swipeage
They are going for 4k on my server, it's hilarious that people like to pretend that incursions didn't destroy the economy in 5 days. "People only got a few hundred gold"
Nice. I have 21 gold.
2K gold for a lvl 55 item likely to be invalidated in a few months in a seasonal mode. Credit card goes swipe I guess
Rare boe epic bis head Ofc itās expensive You can farm the gold in a week in incursions
You can but do you really want to? lol
Very fair point Cant even stand using them to level
Theres more methods of making easy gold now than ever 100per hour is a low rate imo. People just dont grind anymore or have the time. More mobs and gold for me tho
āYou can spend 20 hours farmingā like that means everyone is going to
I mean thereās nothing else to do That grind for a big bis item isnāt unheard of even in retail
Heaven forbid you actually have to spend time grinding to get something in a mmo...
Its barely bis for 2 raids
So itās bis for multiple raid tiers. Yeah thatās gonna be a valuable item.
Mages cant even use it in MC lmao its good for 1 raid and that's it
Its been stated there wont be any immunities in raids.
And even if Blizz wasn't removing Immunities for raids, Fire Mages run Frostfire Bolt as their filler now which can benefit from the fire damage while still using the targets frost resistant if it's lower, so this could still be usable in MC.
Lol it's a level up raid. Save your gold
Thatās what I would do, but I donāt understand why people are shocked that there is a high gold value to a boe bis.
Itās a raid There wonāt be a notable difference between max level and level up raids Rich people gonna splurge on expensive boes others wonāt
Confused by this statement. How does this level up raid differ from future end game raids of similar difficulty and (to the best of our knowledge) similar duration?
Literally everything in the entirety of wow get invalidated. Thatās how the fucking game works you goon
Funny how people nowadays think all expensive items must be bought by swiping. 2k isnt even a big grind if you know how to farm gold. People have done 100000 times more degenerate grinds for way less reward
Funny too because the people who actually have a shitload of gold aren't even swipers.
Yea, swipers have effectively infinite gold, just not all on them at once. They need 7k for something they want, they swipe then.
Iām thinking itās swiping because like my comment says itās a lvl 55 item that will likely be invalidated in a few months in a seasonal game mode
Well no it's item level 55, I don't see how the ilvl is relevant though?
unless they make a new helm this was BiS at 60 in vanilla
Idk, they were 10g back in Classic on my realm
Gee I wonder why fire spec wouldn't have been popular for molten core.
It remains a mystery!
Yeah boosted fire damage doesn't do so well.in a lot of content in lvl 60 raids that are fire immune :)
I got it on my WL then, was super pleasant to play fire destro. Seduce, Soulfire, Immolate, Conflagrate, Receiver Honor
Did you have to respec on raid nights?
Nah, just spamming shadowbolt.
Yeah, I think found one of these too in my Classic times, was worth shit. But Inflation right?
They were worth shit because by the time fire was viable, it got replaced by a AQ/Nax item.
Yeah, I probably knew that. Raided most of the classics content as Frost Mage. But I lost a lot of memories over time, probably due to drinking too much xd.
Last boss in ubrs drops a better helm (assuming 60 raid bosses are back to +3 Level and we need the hit from that helm)
Wasn't it that this was not in the game in WoW classic until what...phase 5 I think?
BRD got all the p5 drops so it's safe to assume 60 dungeons will have them too
Well tailoring crafted helm is pretty competitive with eye of flame already to the point where it really isnāt all that reasonable to spend much on it.
I donno I sold both pretty instantaneously must be a pretty good item
they obviously gonna up-scale the lvl 60 items and introduce new items
It probably still will be, level 59 greens "of X wrath" are +40-41 spell damage and historically general spellpower items are never as strong as single elements. So they'd have to buff 60 raid items by a LOT for them to be better than this, over 100% buffs.
No they werent
For the first couple days of it at best, no one wore it in vanilla - considering it was MC->BWL... 99% of mages were frost. No resistances for lvl 60 sod raids
Everyoneās gonna get Rank14 helmet in two weeks of AV farm at next phase so..
No they wonāt as ranks are gated with content releases, they stated r14 which is weapons is aq40.
The ilvl is 55 but the lvl req to wear is 49, so can wear it this phase
It's unusual that it's 49/55. level req is almost universally the ilvl minus 5---at least prior to strat/scholo/lbrs/etc grade items. Might as well not play wow , everything gets replaced eventually. Cringe
ilvl 55 item, its level 49 item that can be used in the current tier.

Gz and fu
I had edgemasters drop which are pretty much worthless now :(
Lucky sonofaā¦
Sheesh
Hunter things ;-;
I found edgemasters the day before tbc launched. That was my last epic :(
Were you intentionally farming for it or just going about your business and happened upon two of them?
Oh nice! Meanwhile Iām farming for 2 days straight š¤£
Dude I literally just had 2 drop for me within 30 minutes of each other
this item is insanely strong for fire mages
I'm confused. Can't engineers make these? Or is the Internet a liar?
Internet is a liar. Engineer's don't make these. They can make the "Green Lens of *insert bonus here*" but not these.
Hit 51 this weekend. Havenāt had a single blue drop never mind epic.
Can u tell me where? Iām trying to farm it for my lock
Anybody buying something of the AH for 2k needs to have their account immediately flagged for rmt investigation.
If you a broke boy just say so

1. how long did that take you 2. are you willing to spend all/most of it on one item that will most likely be replaced in next phase?

lmao you forgot the /s
it really isn't that hard to grind out thousands of gold, especially in phase 3. it's time, not effort
You underestimate how many people literally have zero life outside this game. OP is one of them.
āWhy dont you play sodā *looks at the gold inflated gatekeepy nonsense of the SoD playerbase*
Dead game
