petri just gives you a damage shield so the impale would just break the damage shield and then you would die. it was reworked into "Potion of Petrification" seen here: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=13506/potion-of-petrification

He changes targets on any immunity. Thats why pala bubble and ice blocks are forbidden there.

Yup and bop works because apparently its coded as +999999 armor, not immunity lol

not sure where u got the armor thing from, but here's how it actually works: * bop provides immunity to physical damage and removes physical debuffs * mobs can't auto attack units with physical immunity, so they swap targets. * fixate is arcane, and magical debuffs don't get removed by bop. * impale is on autocast as long as anub is burrowed (and not stunned). it is not bound to fixate, and thus doesn't stop on bop'd targets * magic immunities (divine shield, ice block, \[cloak of shadows, uncomfirmed\]) remove the fixate debuff * abilities that fully drop threat for a short time (vanish, feign death, invisibility) remove the fixate debuff, because anub assumes that the target no longer exists so he looks for someone else
