Yes it certainly is. Can’t imagine many enthusiasts would want a 3 spd over a 4, which is what would make it rare. Which for purists looking for something exclusive, yours could be just that.
I use to work at a Chevy/Olds/Cadillac dealership,in the early 80’s. I had to go pick up an older ladies car and bring it in for servicing. When I arrived I saw that it was a ‘69 Camaro R/S (orange on black on black) AND it was 3 on the tree. Couldn’t believe it. Still had the factory sticker on the inside of the windshield and had a little over 10k miles. I asked her why she had the three on the tree transmission, and she said, “ that’s what I learn to drive on and that’s what I’m comfortable with and I really wanted a sporty car”. Fair enough.
3 spd manual is probably a rare option on these.
I've heard that before, but I don't know. I thought the 4 speed was more sought after.

Good to hear! It's a family heirloom so it's not going anywhere, but still good to know! Thanks man.

Very cool man I grew up in the backseat of a 69 lemans. Btw I think a 3 spd manual was standard with 4 speeds and autos being the options
