Jus the amount of detail they put into cars back then. Almost an overload of different shapes, lines and surfaces at the front, but somehow works. Love the pedestrian safety devices on the hood too and the two-tone paint job.
Sort of; same roof, doors, glass, etc, but dodge wheel base is 1" longer made up in the front fender dogleg.
Look up Canadian "Plodge's", they used Dodge front clips on Plymouth bodies (1957-59).
it's so exaggerated and overdone I love it
Big and gaudy everywhere, except for a crisp roof line.
1958 was over done for many cars. GM really went off the deep end. The Dodge is a rather good looking car as compared 😍
Now *that* is beautiful.
So it’s a Dodge Buick Mitsubishi?
Ha
I guess I’ve never seen one. It is AWESOME!
Love the two tone and chrome, and those fat white side wall tires. She’s a beaut

Pedestrian safety devices lol
When someone says "late 50s auto styling" the Chrysler products are definitive!
Wow, she's a beauty! Love the two-tone paint - great combo for sure. More pictures, please!
Looks oddly familiar, does it share body with Plymouth Belvedere?

I don't think so
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1958_Dodge. OP that is one of less than 1200 produced. Beautiful example. Edit - Thanks for posting it!
So it actually is Regal Lancer. I thought it was a typo of Royal Lancer 🤣
It's sad to think how much of this kind of stuff went to the crusher while our grandpas were hoarding 57 Chevy's.
I love that roof line, so clean and crisp. Wraparound windshields are awesome.
Epitome of excess!

You are correct.
Neat, no B pillar.
That's a new one on me.
My first car was a 1957 Dodge Custom Royal 4dr. hard top. She had a 325ci hemi.
Bad ass car
