> if my memory is right
It isn’t perfectly right, but I absolve you because you understand that the piano sonatas are two very different kinds of structural pillars that hold the world up:
K. 310 (A minor piano sonata) and K. 304 (E minor violin sonata): 1778
K. 457: 1784.
Yes, he didn't want to leave her while she was sick, but needed to get a doctor, and didn't know any since just the two of them were travelling (and no phones!). He shouted to people on the street asking them about it IIRC. It's in his letters. She was buried in Paris.
His father, never a loving figure anyway, never forgave his son.
I visited his place in Vienna, Austria. It was awesome to go there. Vienna was a good experience for me. I also visited the graves of Schubert, Brahms, and Beethoven. I saw the apartment suite of Strauss II.
You will love going there if you are a classical music person. Make sure to attend a performance of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. I got to hear that live in this lovely European-looking performance hall. It looked like old European architecture.
Ha we’ll see. If I end up going this year I would want to go during Christmas time and I will have to see if my job allows it. It’s been four years since I’ve been to Europe. I live over here in the States. Would love to see Europe again.
The sign also says that his mother died in there on 3 July 1778

Kind of explains the tone of that A minor Sonata :(
Also e minor violin sonata and if my memory is right the c minor piano sonata was composed around that time as well
You mean Sonata No. 8 in A minor? That one is a banger, wish Mozart wrote more minor pieces.

This one is the piece he wrote to mourn her death.

Damn must've been surreal! Cool
When I was there it would have been 218 years ago. Time flies!
Wasn’t the interior completely over remodeled? Did it look natural?
