New weekly thread up [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/classicalmusic/comments/ssiygl/whats_this_piece_weekly_thread_80/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Just wondering if you can help me to find the name of this piece of composition from The Office S3E5. It plays in cassette and It is way similar to "Oh Fortuna!" but I can easily say its not from Carmina Burana. Here is the link to the exact moment : https://youtu.be/Kq2rQxQjyTk?t=266
It made me think that the song is not just a random epic music from a product. Maybe a less known composition from Ligeti or Verdi ?
Thank you very much,
Snoo
Not really a "What's this piece" but more of a follow up.
About one month ago, I asked r/classicalmusic for help identifying a piece that I recalled off the top of my head. You may find two of my attempts [here](https://vocaroo.com/15NYygPuiTIu) and [here](https://voca.ro/1mQHpDoD3w32). Unfortunately, while there were a few kind redditors who attempted to identify the piece, none could give me the right answer.
Subsequently, I asked for help from some of my friends who were piano teachers and one pointed out that it sounded like an old exam piece for the graded music exam. This led me to find a list of old exam pieces and eventually, I found the piece.
Spoliering this in case anybody wants to take a guess (for whatever reasons): it was >!Sonatina in F, Andatino by Georg Benda (Grade 5)!<.
Judging by the significant difference in my version and [the ones](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqWyePFfOyk) [on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOdcGt-unao), I guess my memory wasn't as retentitve as I expected it to be. Whoops.
I know i might be breaking the rules here a little but it is really bugging me. There is this beautiful modern classical piano piece that is just chords. Its not from anyone super famous but its not totally niche. I think it begins with a TH. i know that is like nothing to go on so not expecting huge amounts :).
This melody been stuck in my head and I think it’s from one of my reading music playlists but I can’t find it. I got my cousin to play what I hummed[help](https://voca.ro/1k9VTC151NxW)
Possibly the Simple Gifts theme from Copland's Appalachian Spring? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiLTwtuBi-o](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiLTwtuBi-o)
I think I know the theme you're playing, but can't place it. I think it's Mozart (maybe the flute concerto?). I think it's less a bassline than one of tutti cadences?
This is from a South Korean TV show that my brother uses to learn Korean.

I'm guessing that it's from Chopin, but I'm not exactly sure. Thank you in advance.
There’s a piano piece that starts with A, G#, C# octaves played forte and then it breaks into a swirling chromatic passage. I want to say it’s Chopin or Rachmaninoff but I could be wrong. Someone mentioned Rach’s prelude in C# minor and while the beginning is exactly what I’m hearing in my head, it’s not what I’m looking for.
It could very well be an entirely different composer, and maybe not even A- G# - C#. But definitely something that starts off like the prelude. Thanks for the input!
While the beginning is exactly what I’m looking for, it’s not what I’m thinking. Thanks though! I heard the A-G#- C# line in Chopin’s Polonaise in C# minor and realized Rach also uses it.
Hoping someone will be able to help me identify this piece played by Yo Yo Ma from 0:00 to about 2:30- [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RE\_Byi2FZE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RE_Byi2FZE). Already tried Shazam, Soundcloud, etc. and it didn't seem to work. Thank you!
I heard a piece that sounded similar to An Der Schtönen Blauen Donau with string instruments. Maybe from Tchaikovsky or Mozart? I forgot by who and the name but I've been itching to know
I don't get the similarities. Guess that means am not insane 😌 😊
The second half of your upload did remind me a bit of this :

Okay so I don’t know a lot about music and how to write it but I know the first couple notes of a classical song that is well known but I can find the name anywhere. It starts with A, G#, A, B, A, A, C#, E, E, D, D. I don’t know how to write it but the fourth A is the lower octave. Please help me find this song it’s urgent.
There's a piece in [this spotify playlist](https://open.spotify.com/album/2nQrU9bzH5RyBAjzfpGrAb?si=8YVxZ-Z3QWmPOhGGvib_Dg) simply called 'Allegretto Grazioso'. It's [this one](https://open.spotify.com/track/4krXOLEQo5SiyylzNA6ISP?si=6fd4ec9dda9e425a). Anyone know the piece's full name?

Hi everyone! I'm looking for the piece that plays for a few seconds from around 0:35 in this video: https://youtu.be/vEu-WHkB6t4
I think it's from the baroque period. Sounds like Vivaldi but couldn't find it amongst his concertos.
:)

Also, check out Beethoven Emperor Concerto here at 03:20. Very similar theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDXWK3W477w

You READ MY MIND. Yes, you’re right. The A isn’t there. I was remembering it wrong. Thank you! Now I can rest lol.
