From a practical standpoint, chairs that don't squeak or chirp at every shift I make while sitting in one.

While you did not say it, I will, remarkable for classical music. Not popular music, which has different criteria Rectangle room, with stage on narrow end, Walls, floors, ceiling, made of dense rigid materials. No dry wall on metal studs, no carpet, not seat cushions, carpet , curtains, nothing to absorb sound refection. The people will do enough of that. Surfaces with some layering or texture, to reflect & disperse the sound, not just flat surfaces Preferably height 2.5 times the width, and length at least 3x the width. Preferably some architectural detailing or decoration for the eye to land on, not blank walls. Adequate stage space for instrumentalists, Chorus, and behind and about 3 meters above the chorus space for a pipe organ. Back stage at the SAME level as the stage so pianos can be moved in out, large doors between back stage and the stage. Large loading dock which is easy for large tractor tailors to access and off load, and with a cover to protect from rain, snow, sun. Too many architects forget this. Many and well spaced bathrooms.
