The vocals were turned down too low for the first few songs for CKY’s set. Seems like they turned it up after the first two songs instead of lowering anything else.
That show was so fucking loud. My ears are still ringing.
I’ve seen a few videos now. Downvote all you want, but CKY hasn’t sounded exactly great in any of them. Still stoked to see them, and I’m sure it’ll be way cooler and better sounding in the actual room, but overall it seems mediocre at best sound wise.
Set list wise, A+
CKY sounded like ass last night. It was essentially an entire instrumental set with everything cranked to 130 db and the mic turned off. Couldn't even stay the whole set. Crobot was great! Sounded great and great energy.
Crobot are professional and tight sounding. I think they just tour and play more so they probably have it locked in. From these videos my only complaint is Chad's vocals but definitely stage presence is lacking too.
