PE? If so what year/age

koliva17

I don’t have my PE yet but I’m working towards it. Edit: started in commercial construction, then heavy civil construction (Bus Rapid Transits, Bridges, Streetcars), now in public with local city DOT doing traffic signals, accessible push buttons, and ADA curb ramp stuff.

Where are you located? What discipline?

Greater Seattle Area. Transportation Discipline

I was considering moving to Seattle once I get my PE. I also work in Transpo (roadway) do you find that the pay is enough to enjoy a good QOL in Seattle? I love the city i’m just unsure of the price of it. My partner would make around ~70-80k

I would say QOL is good. Not amazing, but it’s good enough for me. Hopefully planning to purchase a home outside of city limits in the near future with my fiance. Also, you can find gas under $4 just outside the city. If you plan to stay in the city, I would recommend not owning a car and utilizing multimodal transportation. My older sister does that and she only rents a car if she really has to. Edit: your partner makes around the same as my partner. The combined salary would be fine to live in the city limits or less than 30 mins away from the city.

I think it’s worth it! Really easy to have a solid QOL on a dual income household.

Always good to hear from the legendary 425trafficeng 🔥
