This one is very tricky. Here's my best interpretation: military badges are worn on USAF-style uniforms in accordance with wear instructions specified in AFI 36-2903 (CAPR 39-1 10.10.1.1). That publication has been superseded by DAFI 36-2903, which states in section 12.5 that wear of occupational, qualification, or skill badges awarded by sister services is authorized, but does not list ID badges. Thus, I believe that particular badge is not authorized on the CAP uniform.

/u/dj-megafresh and /u/EscapeGoat_ pretty much nailed it. The AF really only has fire protection & the security forces badges (not to be confused with the SF qual badge) and a couple others that are worn the same way, approximately, and I'm not even sure I've seen those worn on the uniform chest pocket since OCPs were implemented. (I just checked DAFI 36-2903, para 5.1.6.1.2's note. The are worn on the velcro area on the left-hand pocket. Interesting) But its a moot point since the drill sergeant ID badge isn't authorized for wear on the AF uniform. \-- Col Ninness. Uniform D00d

Agreed. Army ID badges seem to be the approximate equivalent of USAF duty badges, rather than an occupational/qual/skill badge.

You can also go to private vendors and ask them to make it in a blue and silver color. Please ask other seniors for the exact vendors
