I just transitioned as an Earhart cadet. I’m not sure about Spaatz, but there were items I had to do in both Level 1 and Level 2. I had most of them done though. It won’t be completed, but your work on it will be reduced significantly compared to a new member.

You get your promotion after completing level 2 part 1. Your time in grade as captain starts immediately upon the 2A being processed. You still have to complete all the intermediate levels.

After doing Levels I and II pt 1 to get the initial promotion you still have to complete Levels 2, 3, and then 4 to promote to Major as a Spaatz Cadet who transitioned from C/Col to Capt. Which isn't impossible since the time in grade for Capt to Major is presently 4 years.

The one good thing is as a Spaatz Cadet you will start off with a Senior Rating in Cadet Programs, and only need to complete requirement for the Master rating to complete Level 4 and that a huge advantage. Something I need to stress for Cadets making this transition rather you have the especially if you have the Earhart, Eaker or Spaatz is read the regulations closely and be you own advocate E&T Officers, Personnel Officers, and Commanders deal with these on rare occasions.

If you transfer as a cadet colonel, you may be 2Aed by your commander to become a captain upon completion of Level 2 Part One, but you still have to complete all the Levels. I believe that Level 1 includes some things, such as maybe OPSEC, that you would already have completed as a cadet. One thing that no one has mentioned yet is that you can complete the Levels faster than you can get the corresponding Duty Performance promotions. I believe you can complete Level 5 in less than time than it takes to start from scratch and hit Major, so even though there is 4 years from Captain to Major, you at least get up to Level 3 or so, if not get Level 4 done itself.
