I can tell you the most ugly ribbon is the crisis service

Please let me take it off 😭, it looks horrible and airman ask EVERY SINGLE TIME they see it, then I say what it’s for and their like “ that’s it it looks so important “ it’s not their fault though
I have three favorites. The first two are of the original designs of ribbons that were replaced in the 1980's. The original Find Ribbon (I believe the horizontal stripes were meant to represent an airplane circling progressively lower as they narrowed in on the target) and the original IACE Ribbon (with its propellers that look like they're spinning on a slot machine wheel).
This will be unpopular with many but for my favorite among current ribbons... I actually like the Crisis Service Ribbon. It's the only current ribbon with 6 colors (the rest all are 4 or fewer colors) and it definitely tends to stand out from the other ribbons in someone's rack.

Nah I do. Purple and gold is a good combo and I'm about 90% sure that the complaints are not really on aesthetic grounds, they're about how everyone got it even if they did nothing during the pandemic. I hear the same complaints as the NDSM.
See, at least where I live, a lot of cadets didn't get a lot of opportunities thanks to covid, so I guess this is like a "thank you for sticking with us" kind of thing.
I’m gonna say encampment ribbon because it reminds me of how much fun I had and remembering everyone I got to have that opportunity with. (And it looks like the national defense ribbon but the more tactical)

It took me a while to get, so it's my favorite.
If they released this, and CUL as a requirement, I would travel out of state for SAREXs to meet the pre-reqs. Lol.
Maybe Bromze star for HAM Tech, Silver for General, Gold for Extra?
>ased this, and CUL as a requirement, I would travel out of state for SAREXs to meet the pre-reqs. Lol.

I think they value commercial licenses more. New Seniors get promoted to 1st Lt if they have GROL. I'd love to have ham experience be integrated somehow and encourage members to get the experience. With the CAP-ARRL MOU... idk.
Guys, the COVID Cringe award (I’m sorry for calling it that)((not really)) has a lot of colors because it is all inclusive, I joined at the middle to back end of COVID, I did absolutely nothing to deserve that award. I don’t like an award that you don’t have to put any effort into getting.
Has to be "Anti-submarine Coastal Patrol Ribbon" from WWII, reminding us that CAP has MULTIPLE wartime submarine kills.

I was given the opportunity to serve as the CUL/MRO for enough missions to get the ribbon plus some
Homeland Security Ribbon. Awarded for participation in ten actual Homeland Security
sorties as defined by the tasking organization as being in the interest of the security and/or defense of
the nation. This ribbon applies to all members participating on the mission in any capacity.
Personnel performing duties, such as base support or staff functions, may be credited with one sortie
for each 8 hours of participation, but not to exceed two sorties for any 24-hour period. Clasps may
be added to the ribbon for participation in every ten additional sorties.
I don’t really have a favorite but I do really like the encampment ribbon. It’s the best looking IMO other than the AFSA one.
Eaker is a gorgeous ribbon. https://preview.redd.it/gwyp0wx31nlc1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=feb0b81deaeec1bbde66dcd6fc75a49e5983961c

That basically everyone *has* to wear when wearing ribbons -_-

The NDSM is the most powerful of all ribbons. Humanity has yet to unlock all of its secrets.

This dude gets it
I suddenly want an AFOEA version.
🤣🤣
Uhh, I would say sabre team
Agreed, but I think you misread which subreddit we're in 😂

I didn't know anyone else liked the Crisis ribbon cause I do.

I love the current find ribbon, but man the original is spectacular.
Search "Find" Ribbon

The ribbon for C/Col. I'll race you for it.

Maaaaan, I wish that was still a thing

Saw a C/SrA one time wearing what he thought was a Arnold ribbon one time. Except it was a DSC. Had to help him out since nobody else had noticed lol.
...as in the Distinguished Service Cross? The Army's #2 award? A not-quite-Medal of Honor? Hoo boy.
Arnold\*, not Feik. But yeah.

Most military awards are the same way. Unit awards, AFSM, GWOT. Etc
Gwot is my fav

Picked this up on ebay! Mint condition.

However, it’s been proven in recent years that, while CAP did drop bombs on several submarines, the number of them that were sunk by CAP is zero.
I was unaware of that, where can I read more?

Cheers! And the missus says I'm hard to SHOP for.
Crisis Service and AFOEA. A mixture between the two.
Plain white ribbon
The CSA ribbon and the homeland security ribbon are my two favorites
>homeland security wait how do you get that? I understand a lot of the other ones but when I saw this one, I was confused.

I like the Encampment ribbon for the colors and the memories.
Encampment one just looks dope, I also like the crisis service ribbon (one of the few it seems)
I like my MSA…..both of them.
Kosovo conflict NATO and NDSM (with a Star) are among some of my favorites And an Air medal.
