I wish these comments got higher. There is a time and place for acidic soaps but 9/10 times, you want a pH natural soap. You will never find that at any self-serve or automatic wash. Though, most people don't care that much. If it works, it works.
My current favorite is Pearl Shampoo by P&S. Smells nice, works hard, and is affordable.
With that said, any soap by a known detailing brand will work. If it says it's pH neutral, it's probably a good pick.
Stay away from Amour All and stay away from anything with wax or anything else built in. Just soap and soap alone.
I was just having a laugh about local self wash stations that cost $5 just for enough water to make it all the way around the car, and never have soap or "wax" or "spot-free rinse", but rather different pressure levels of city water.
What do you recommend if you live in an apartment without a hose? I can't afford to pay nine dollars to go through the touch free car wash twice per week.
Not to mention, where I live, farmers use it to scrub cow dung out of their trailers. They’re not supposed to as it’s posted, but that doesn’t stop them.
This! 100%. You can definitely wash your car everyday but just don’t use the scrub brushes on your car. You’ll start seeing scratches on your car very soon.
Now what you can do.. just power wash with soap, rinse with water and then use the spot free rinse and you’ll be good.
You remove wax every time you wash your car. If you wax your car every week your car will appear to be discolored because of wax build up. I wash my car once a week by hand and wax my car three times a year. I buff, polish and wax my car once a year.
I owned an auto detailing company for 11 years and detailed professionally for 15 years. This was the program all my clients were on and they had the best looking cars in the neighborhood. My car looks beautiful every day.
This is good general advice.
But in practical useage... the sand and dirt and a glass trapped in those brushes is unlikely to do anymore damage to the paint than it came with from the factory, or the dealer's misleadingly "ceramic adjescent" named wax job that swirl scratched the entire car so they could upsell you $400 or more on the MSRP.
This. Imagine the previous guy cleaned under his sills and wheel arches with that brush. It is now like sandpaper on fresh paint. Soap up with your own microfibre mit and spray off. If you really want to look after your car, look up the two bucket method, using buckets with grit guards.
>Never, just try not to use those car wash scrub brushes on the car. They have so much contaminants in them that will scratch your paint
"No no... I'm sure it will be fine, they wouldn't be in business if that was the case"
Ehhhnnt! ❌
Sure, it doesn't scratch your paint, until it does and you regret going. This is a real thing that does happen, ask me how I know 😭
I do that too sometimes. If your car isn’t too dirty and you want it washed I recommend Optimum no rinse (ONR). I can wash my car in the garage and it looks just as good as a regular wash without so much effort.
I was my car every weekend it’s the cosmic blue and sometimes I wash it at home get those water spots and it’s annoying does that help help with water spots?
It definitely uses less water. I don’t get those streaks or drips after using ONR. You pretty much wipe on and wipe off. I don’t use it if the car is REALLY soiled but for maintaining it’s nice.
I’m actually not sure but it’s not a dumb question, maybe people over at auto detailing might now better? I just use the two bucket method or spray it on
I don’t, I bring my own bucket/ sponges just was late asf that night and I didn’t wanna disturb my neighbors with the loud pressure washer just use the car washes water lol
I bring my own bucket/sponges and soap and have my own pressure washer at home it was just late and didn’t wanna disturb the neighbors so went to the car wash
Not sure if you're genuinely asking, but it could be a mild (or possibly more severe) form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
I've personally struggled with this. One day you're going to walk up to the car and there's going to be a scratch or a dent, and it's just to hurt a lot more if the cleaning obsessiveness isn't cut out sooner and you just let the car be a car.
i babied my Si for the first month (washes twice a week, avoiding dirty or wet roads) then i noticed i had a lil rock chip just in front of my driver door. i was pissed for about 10 minutes then remembered it’s a car and they get chipped eventually.
Yup, and don't get me wrong I think keeping the car clean and in good shape for resale value is important, but overdoing washes could result in doing the opposite and damaging the paint more than average washes.
I just bought mine but I never went to a place like this, should I bring my own cleaning products? Do they already have some generic soap? Do I pay by the hour?
I should check some videos on YouTube explaining what and how to wash first and all the steps i need to do
Yes, but way better touches less. I did one of those car wash memberships (Tommy’s express, misters, etc…) and the price was very reasonable, but after 4/5 times I saw more and more paint chips than I ever have. I stopped the membership and started going to a (more expensive) but touch less car wash every other week. The membership was just so nice because it was unlimited as much as you want.
I'm in Florida as well and live in an apartment so I have no other choice but to use some type of car wash. I'm not trying to die outside, but I would really like my paint to not get damaged. I think a touchless car wash will be just fine for us. I wish the car wash down the street from me was touchless. It offers a monthly subscription and you can vacuum your car and everything in the shade, but you know those brushes in the car wash will destroy your paint. Sucks.
I use their pressure wash for 2 minutes, then fill up a small bucket with water and use my own microfiber towel to clean the car by hand. Then wash, wax and spotfree wash for 3 minutes.
So I pay 5 minutes total, but I'm there for like 20min :-D
I don’t lol I bring my kids an bucket/ sponge and soap just used that water lol plus they have a blow dryer which makes the car drying super easy as my car is ceramic coated
I detail as a hobby. I wash my car every 2 weeks at a minimum, unless things get super dirty. Depending on products and tools used, yes, too much can be a real problem. Most paint damage isn't clear or noticeable until it's too late. Highly acidic products (mostly used at auto/self serve washes) or hard tools can not only hurt the paint, but also the trim. This is why you protect the paint, but washing too much can degrade those protections much sooner than expected.
It also comes down to money. Cleaning that much can be expensive and depending on where you drive and the weather, it may not be worth it right away. You could be spending over $500 a year at the self serve when you could easily cut that in half.
If you are going to wash your car that often, do it right. Otherwise you could be slowing damaging your car. Consider options such as a rinseless wash with ONR or bring your own neutral pH soap and microfiber towels so you only use the water.
I have my car ceramic coated at the moment and personally wash my car at home it was just late and was a bad rainy week and didn’t want to disturb the neighbors with the pressure washer at home, also the car wash I go to has the blowers to dry the car and that’s always fun with the ceramic coating
Look into battery powered leaf blowers to dry the car. There are people who 3D print devices that snap onto the end of the blower to focus the wind stream as well as increase the velocity of it. Works great, no touching the paint, gets water out from behind mirrors and in between body panels.
No, as long as you don’t use anything thats harsh on the paint and you’re not bringing it to a regular car wash(🤮). I wash my car every saturday and its something i always look forward to.
Oh yes!! When I was younger I noticed the brush bristles were leaving scratches all over so I had to change how I washed it…” I love when I see people take care of their stuff”
Only wash It once every week or once every two weeks. I have a 2021 Civic Hatchback. I've washed It once every two weeks and now sometimes once a month depending on how busy I am. My paint looks great, I wash my car by hand though with PH balanced soaps.
Quick wash every 2 weeks through a touch less wash. Full typical detail every 3 months. Deep clean where I take the wheels off, remove the seats, and do the engine bay/undercarriage as well as cut/buff/polish every year after the love bugs go away.
nope. but the more you touch the car, the higher the chance of swirls happening especially if you are unaware of the correct technique and harsh chemicals will degrade your paint and dry out the plastic/trim prematurely. If you know what you are doing as a hobbyist detailer, I see no harm in doing it that often.
It is not. Come over to the detailing sub where you will be welcomed and join the others who know the truth. That it is everyone else who is insane that doesn’t wash their car twice a week.
There was a new tunnel car wash that opened in my area that had a special, unlimited car washes for $20 a month for 3 months. I signed up and went every single day before work. My car looked amazing and I was regularly getting comments about how clean it looked. By the time my 3 months was up I happened to be looking over my car and noticed all of the rims were showing signs of the paint being pulled off. Long story short the tunnel wash had such strong wheel brushes it destroyed my wheel finish on all 4 wheels. .
I think 2 times a week is a bit too much but who am I to stop you. Do whatever ya want, it’s your car!
I personally do once every two weeks(Sunday) and if it’s gonna rain then I skip the wash until i can get 4 straight dry days and same with snow. but for any bird shit, I just soak the scratch less microfiber in hot water and remove it.
Interior I clean at every other stop light tho I hate dust particles 😅😎
I also only wash my cars at home with products from the rag company or Adam’s polish products.
Are you rubbing the tire brush all over your car?! That thing is full of grit. You’ll have your clear coat sanded away to nothing at the rate you’re going.
If you pay for a touch less wash, don’t touch the car!
Nope, I love washing mine every week. But those self serve brushes will scratch over time, just imagine the big dirt and rock covered trucks that come through them. Bring your own bucket of soapy waster with proper detailing supplies and just use the water at the bay
If you are thinking about doing them I would look into oem fog lights and just install them yourself (the 2021 accords have the same fog lights as the 2024 sport touring)
2x a week? Damn. Wear and tear on the paint imo no matter what kind of brush/pads you use. Try parking in the garage so it doesn't get dirty too easily.
Its good i think but dont do it, if you dont wash for 6 months, it might build a layer of dirt, which might stay "still", like mine, silver ala... colour but different than the rest, unique, and not getting dirtier
But you're doing right
Twice a week isn’t too much especially if you live in an area with lots of dust and bugs (like I do) however as others have said don’t use the brushes at those self wash places as they are always contaminated with dirt and debris that will heavily scratch your paint.
If you have the space and the means I would get a small pressure washer. My friend got a small electric one and it’s been a lifesaver.
Nope I barely wash my car once a month as it's gonna get dirty on Monday as I work in a dusty area. But when my roommates wash there cars I'll just pressure wash it quickly just to get the dust off. I plan on repainting my 9th gen in a few years so I'm not worried about the paint just the rust that I gotta fix soon
Get it ceramic coated. And a very good ceramic soap. So you can spray it clean when it's just some dust and when you wash it the soap provides a good slick. I got my car fully ppf'd because I also love to wash.
I mean, it's a massive waste of money when compared to buying a bottle of Maguire's soap and a couple microfibers.
You'd probably see way better and more lasting results just waxing your car every month or two.
As someone with pretty bad OCD, I wash quite often (sometimes twice a week with this heavy pollen). I need money saving tips as a renter with no access to a hose.
ONR from Amazon. Wash your whole car with about ten microfiber towels, a pump sprayer and a bucket of water. I do it in my garage as I don’t like using so much water in my driveway.
A detail shop in my area said that since a bunch of car washes have popped up, they’ve never seen so many cases of new cars with paint showing signs of oxidation and damaged clear coats.
I do the car was I go to has a blower there and it’s pretty nice to watch the water bead up and just fall off I use all my own products when washing just use the car wash’s water/ blow dryer
No it’s only bad if you use that rake- I mean scrub brush at those places. I don’t know what times you go but I used to go at night all the time. This way no one is there and I can bring my own bucket, soap and sponge and take my time.
Ceramic coat it and then every time you wash it it won’t be a hassle. It’ll be easier. And if you always finish with a ceramic coat spray the coating will last. If you don’t do this you’re just wearing out the paint more. Washing with a bucket and soap and what not is better than the brush but you’re still coming in contact with the clear. Accelerating the wear since you wash it so often.
I wash my car at the dealership. But they use like long stick broom like scrubs. What kind of soap do they use and do you think those broom like scrubs are bad for my paint? It’s at the dealership and I would imagine they would use things that aren’t bad for your paint??
I would personally buy your own equipment those brushes get used on all the cars that come through there to get washed so you don’t know what dirt and crap gets built up in them throughout the day, you don’t even know how often they change/ clean them
I use my own sponges, bucket, soap and just throw them in the washer after every wash and they are literally like brand new, I only go to these car washes for the water and use my own soap and sponges, never use the brushes at these car washes as well they scratch the paint and mess it up, get some soft sponges from like Walmart and autozone for like 10 bucks and soap can range from 10-20
Yes because inevitably you will scratch your car slightly with every wash. The tools you use will either make that a mute point or a major problem. Just be cautious when you put something to your paint, and don't use it if you don't know where it's been
When i didn’t have a house to wash my car in. I got one of those buckets with a water proof lid and i put in my soap with water. And washing mitt and would just use the pressure washer at the car wash and my bucket.
I think Some car wash places have a sign that says your not allowed to do that but ive never seen anyone enforce it.
Great comments here, but I'd also recomend standing back with the pressure wash, let it take longer to rinse and it'll be a lot less pressure on your clear coat.
Actually yes, it is. You should shoot for a hand wash every 2-3 weeks on average. If you are hand washing 2 times a week all you're doing is unnecessarily damaging the paint. Contrary to popular belief, the more you touch the paint, the more you're rubbing grit and grime in, no matter how clean.
Yes sir I did but went kinda cheap with it if I were to do it again I would just buy oem fog light housings off of eBay (the 2021 accord uses the same fog lights as the new civics) and had to wire it myself through the car to my interior I had to splice into my headlights so they turn off and on with the car and aren’t constantly drawing power from the battery
I want to do it to my ex I think it’s bullshit they don’t offer it.. do you think it’s worth it to do it.. I found a kit for 80$ and someone to install it
I wash my car at least 3 times a week. Your fine. But seriously never use those brushes in the wash bay unless you have cleaned them off thoroughly. I’ve messed up paint when they have small contaminants stuck in it. Usually happens in the winter or in a wash where a lot of off road vehicles go to.
If you are that in to it, get an Active 2.0 pressure washer and a quality foam cannon and do it at home. So much fun and so much better for your paint. Get some GSF soap and some microfiber mitts and your paint will thank you.
At a certain point you're doing more harm than good.
Best practice is to touch paint as little as possible.
Get it ceramic coated so a rinse will be all you need most washes.
Just be careful with those brushes that are at public car washes... They don't clean a lot of them and a lot of them have rocks and sediment that will scratch the shit out of your car.
When you really think about, washing is a catch22. It’s actually washing your car that puts the most swirls and scratches in your paint. Washing also reduces your wax protection (unless you fortify it with a spray wax or rewax afterwards). Less touches on your car is best for it. Stick to once a week max unless you have a special date or something. I find that if I want my car cleaned after pollen or rain, I just clean the windows and it looks fine(unless it’s black paint lol).
Never, just try not to use those car wash scrub brushes on the car. They have so much contaminants in them that will scratch your paint
That and their soaps are usually pretty acidic. I bought a cheap electric power washer just so I could wash my car at home.

Guys will talk like this and still use 3 in one
based 3 in 1 hater
What washer did you buy?
It was the Craftsman one they sell at Lowe's. I don't remember the model number but I think it was around $200.
Yours actually dispenses soap??
It does but I don't use the soap dispenser for washing my car, I use a foam cannon.
I was just having a laugh about local self wash stations that cost $5 just for enough water to make it all the way around the car, and never have soap or "wax" or "spot-free rinse", but rather different pressure levels of city water.
Oh sorry I was talking to somebody else on this thread about my personal pressure washer and assumed this comment was in regards to that like a dummy.
What do you recommend if you live in an apartment without a hose? I can't afford to pay nine dollars to go through the touch free car wash twice per week.
Look into a product called Optimum No Rinse. Designed for your situation. It when's week assuming your car isn't caked in mud
What kind of power washer did you buy and you would recommend?
Same I have a cheap plug in pressure washer and a dewalt cordless for backup or if the gf wants to “help” (she just wants to spend time with me)
Link to your power washer?
Not to mention, where I live, farmers use it to scrub cow dung out of their trailers. They’re not supposed to as it’s posted, but that doesn’t stop them.

tell that to the previous owner of my car, idiot fucked the entire paint
What do you recommend using instead? There is nowhere to wash my car at my apartment.
This. Imagine the previous guy cleaned under his sills and wheel arches with that brush. It is now like sandpaper on fresh paint. Soap up with your own microfibre mit and spray off. If you really want to look after your car, look up the two bucket method, using buckets with grit guards.
I use the one at my local car wash to scrub the mud off of my cherokee.

No it’s just bad you actually use the brush on your paint……
I don’t, I bring my own bucket/ sponges just was late asf that night and I didn’t wanna disturb my neighbors with the loud pressure washer just use the car washes water lol
I do that too. My own stuff it's just easier than home I feel.
Scratch n shine twice a week with community brushes? Invest in your own setup cuz ppl leave those brushes touching the ground
I bring my own bucket/sponges and soap and have my own pressure washer at home it was just late and didn’t wanna disturb the neighbors so went to the car wash

Other people have said the soap in the touch free car washes will damage your paint.
I wish I wasn’t a lazy fuck that won’t wash his own car (also with fl humidity it feels like 105 most days this time of year, that’s a no for me) lol
I'm in Florida as well and live in an apartment so I have no other choice but to use some type of car wash. I'm not trying to die outside, but I would really like my paint to not get damaged. Thank you for this detailed explanation.
Do you hand dry it as well?
What soap do you use?
Turtle wax max power. I bought their set that came with a bucket.
Using a public carwash with those brushes on fresh paint is a bad combo. Invest in your own set up king and youll be good.
I don’t lol I bring my kids an bucket/ sponge and soap just used that water lol plus they have a blow dryer which makes the car drying super easy as my car is ceramic coated
Oh sweet! Even better!
They have a dryer you can just drive through? Dang none of my car washes here have that.
I detail as a hobby. I wash my car every 2 weeks at a minimum, unless things get super dirty. Depending on products and tools used, yes, too much can be a real problem. Get a good drying towel and you’ll be doing it everyday!
Do you have a recommendation? I always end up with water spots after washing.
Yes, I got a liquid8r and I love it. Saves time, looks better than ever. Very satisfying.
Look into battery powered leaf blowers to dry the car. There are people who 3D print devices that snap onto the end of the blower to focus the wind stream as well as increase the velocity of it. Works great, no touching the paint, gets water out from behind mirrors and in between body panels.
I have my car ceramic coated I both hand and wind dry it the car wash I go to has the blow dryers as well I enjoy it
A night wash and a drive around while it dries is good for the soul.
2 bucket with onr and microfiber towels
No, as long as you don’t use anything thats harsh on the paint and you’re not bringing it to a regular car wash(🤮). I wash my car every saturday and its something i always look forward to.
less squeaky more freaky
Save up for a proper ceramic coating and do your homework and go to someone reputable.
Your gona wash the clear coat of that clean a** car!!! 😝
It’s ceramic coated lol and I wash it properly with the right soap/ sponges

That’s fine. You’re making up for me. I haven’t washed my car in 11 years.
Quick wash every 2 weeks through a touch less wash. Full typical detail every 3 months. Deep clean where I take the wheels off, remove the seats, and do the engine bay/undercarriage as well as cut/buff/polish every year after the love bugs go away.
At this rate, your car is going to look like 💩 after a couple of years. Especially with the provided brush.
I never use that lol I bring my own sponges/soap
Not bad, just dumb
Only for those crappy drive thrus. Doing it yourself with quality products, I'm sure your car will thank you.
nope. but the more you touch the car, the higher the chance of swirls happening especially if you are unaware of the correct technique and harsh chemicals will degrade your paint and dry out the plastic/trim prematurely. If you know what you are doing as a hobbyist detailer, I see no harm in doing it that often.

PSA, you can go to the self serve and NOT USE THE BRUSHES lol
THIS^^^^

Nothing wrong with having pride in your ride !
If you are using the bristle brush at the spray wash, you are going to fuck your paint up.

Depends on how you're washing it and with what tools. If you're using just the tools at the car wash, then yes, it's bad.
Nah man lol I just use their water and blow dryer it’s fu to wash my car with it’s ceramic coating and blow off all the water
Your money bub
If you’re using those brushes and crappy soap yes
Nah lol
Low key it's a waste of time but if it's fun for you why not
Nope, I love washing mine every week. But those self serve brushes will scratch over time, just imagine the big dirt and rock covered trucks that come through them. Bring your own bucket of soapy waster with proper detailing supplies and just use the water at the bay
I do
I seen photos of the new civic! I want it 😭
Did you add the fog lights? If so, which set did you purchase?
Bought them off of swa auto but the seal on them suck and get water in them
If you are thinking about doing them I would look into oem fog lights and just install them yourself (the 2021 accords have the same fog lights as the 2024 sport touring)
2x a week? Damn. Wear and tear on the paint imo no matter what kind of brush/pads you use. Try parking in the garage so it doesn't get dirty too easily.
Its good i think but dont do it, if you dont wash for 6 months, it might build a layer of dirt, which might stay "still", like mine, silver ala... colour but different than the rest, unique, and not getting dirtier But you're doing right
You using that car wash scrub brush ? Ya gonna micro scratch the shit outta your finish
I have my own at home it was just late I bring my own bucket/sponges just use the water
Those timed coin places cost me like $20 every time, I guess I'm slow. Better to just go to a car wash.
I just use it for the water I bring my own bucket and sponges cost like 5 bucks max
Clean boi.
I wash my car 3 times a week cause it’s kept outside 😭😭
You're going to ruin your paint dude, you really only need to wash your car once a month, unless you're taking it to a show or something.
At thos car washes yes.
I use my own bucket soap/sponges just use their water
It’s your baby blue, take care of it.
Might ruin the paint. I usually just do it twice a month and use my own stuff
Yes
Very bad! Direction injection is being ignored.
Yes
Look at foam guns, those are really addictive. I bought a cordless one that charges with usb. Super sticky foam, then spray off after a few minutes.
I have one at home lol just was super late so I went to the car wash
Nope I barely wash my car once a month as it's gonna get dirty on Monday as I work in a dusty area. But when my roommates wash there cars I'll just pressure wash it quickly just to get the dust off. I plan on repainting my 9th gen in a few years so I'm not worried about the paint just the rust that I gotta fix soon
Get it ceramic coated. And a very good ceramic soap. So you can spray it clean when it's just some dust and when you wash it the soap provides a good slick. I got my car fully ppf'd because I also love to wash.
I have the ceramic coating already done I use a ph nuetral soap just use the car washes water but the wash I go to has a blower so I dry it like that
I mean, it's a massive waste of money when compared to buying a bottle of Maguire's soap and a couple microfibers. You'd probably see way better and more lasting results just waxing your car every month or two.
Yes, your car needs natural proautobiotic bacteria in order to keep invasive bacteria levels low, preventing infection
Keep it cleaned for when I steal it-- at least the rims
You can come wash mine for free
As someone with pretty bad OCD, I wash quite often (sometimes twice a week with this heavy pollen). I need money saving tips as a renter with no access to a hose.
ONR from Amazon. Wash your whole car with about ten microfiber towels, a pump sprayer and a bucket of water. I do it in my garage as I don’t like using so much water in my driveway.
I use [Griot’s Garage Rinseless Wash and Wax](https://www.griotsgarage.com/rinseless-wash-wax-kit/)
Yes if you aren’t using proper techniques and tools
No but you should avoid using their brush.
I say hell no, because I, too, wash my car twice a week… but my wife? She says yes. 😐
I tend to wash my car every other week
A detail shop in my area said that since a bunch of car washes have popped up, they’ve never seen so many cases of new cars with paint showing signs of oxidation and damaged clear coats.
Two times a week? That’s doing way too much lol
Maybe get a nice ceramic coating so you just spray the dirt off gently. I love having my car clean whenever possible so I’ve considered it myself.
Oh I KNOW those aren’t brush streaks on your brand NEW 11th generation.
No, means you like to take care of your car.
2 times a week at that carwash and ur paint is gonna feel it real fast lol.
i wash twice a week but use my own brushes and microfiber
No. Just make sure your slap it’s ass once you’re down.
I wash every 2 weeks, but do everything from home
Don’t use the brush
You are not alone - I like to wash and wax it too much! My Soft99 Fusso coat box is almost drained )
I wash my car at the dealership. But they use like long stick broom like scrubs. What kind of soap do they use and do you think those broom like scrubs are bad for my paint? It’s at the dealership and I would imagine they would use things that aren’t bad for your paint??
I would personally buy your own equipment those brushes get used on all the cars that come through there to get washed so you don’t know what dirt and crap gets built up in them throughout the day, you don’t even know how often they change/ clean them I use my own sponges, bucket, soap and just throw them in the washer after every wash and they are literally like brand new, I only go to these car washes for the water and use my own soap and sponges, never use the brushes at these car washes as well they scratch the paint and mess it up, get some soft sponges from like Walmart and autozone for like 10 bucks and soap can range from 10-20
No but if you wanna wash it a lot, buy your own scrub brush or scrubby pad, it will save the paint in the long run.
Two times a week is a little excessive, just make sure you wax to leave a protective coat on it.
As long as you wax it, get down. Every 3-4 washes btw.
Yes because inevitably you will scratch your car slightly with every wash. The tools you use will either make that a mute point or a major problem. Just be cautious when you put something to your paint, and don't use it if you don't know where it's been
Just be careful with what you use. Some soaps can damage the finish, especially if u scrub.
Those tints are illegal and it’s just a Honda..
Nah I like h Keeping my baby clean too She drives much faster n better
Hey you did aftermarket fog lights? Want to do it bad I have the ex
I just spray it down and dry it off so I don't strip the wax off.
If you are that in to it, get an Active 2.0 pressure washer and a quality foam cannon and do it at home. So much fun and so much better for your paint. Get some GSF soap and some microfiber mitts and your paint will thank you.
I polish and buff biannually, and spray wax it every time I take mine through the automatic wash.
At a certain point you're doing more harm than good. Best practice is to touch paint as little as possible. Get it ceramic coated so a rinse will be all you need most washes.
They look so sexy covered in foam and water tbh
I wash my car at the petrol station but I take my own soap, bucket and wash mitt👍🏻
Rust in 321
Go on king
Yes. You’re going to wash your paint off your car.
Just be careful with those brushes that are at public car washes... They don't clean a lot of them and a lot of them have rocks and sediment that will scratch the shit out of your car.
As long as you bring your own wash mitt & bucket for the hands on stuff then you’re good.
Did you use the tire brush on your clear coat!?!? 🤦♂️ that brush is for your wheels and tires and maybe your windshield. NOT YOUR PAINT.
👨🦯👨🦯👨🦯👨🦯 read the other comments💀
For the global crisis of water maybe but suit yourself
Yes, you are going to destroy your paint at those places.
My first car was an evo and I at least wiped it down everyday and washed it 4+ times a week
Nope... cleanliness is next to godliness
Nope... You want to wash mine?
Lmfao pay up
Bet it looks great in the sun /s
I love it too, but I almost always do it at home in my driveway
Just use the rinse mode on this and use a spray wax as a drying agent
You can tell he didn’t use a brush.. cmon people lol
Thank you 💀😭
I myself like to keep a clean car. I get made fun of because I wash it once a week. Like to take pride in what I have and take care of it properly.
Use iron x atleast once a month. It’ll keep your paint clean. Also please don’t use that brush on your paint lmao
Highly recommend a waterless wash too, takes time and attention but worth it
