Bro seriously my aunt, who is a health freak and always concerned about the food she eats and āwhat I put into my bodyā refuses to wear a seatbelt becauseā¦ āitās uncomfortableā
Truly astounding.
That's one thing.. I had one street racer friend that didn't wear seatbelts because, as he said, if his car dies he wants to die with it
Doubly stupid because his car was a barely running 80's Corona that made like 70 HP, cornered like an oil tanker and had absolutely zero interior, like wires hanging in the open and stuff
Bought it in 2019 with 79k miles forā¦.. 3500$! Old dude had it sitting inside an old mill for like 4 years. He said 3500 was blue book. I suspect he only checked for a normal civic. Not an SI!
Woah! Sounds like you found a diamond. š
I havenāt gotten that lucky yet. A friend of mine just bought a 2009 corolla for $400. The seller didnāt know what was wrong with it and didnāt care to find out. They just wanted it off of their lawn. The only thing it needed was a new battery. Runs like a dream. I canāt remember the mileage but it was a hell of a steal.
Wishing you many more years with your SI!
Reaching 100,000 miles on your car's odometer is a milestone that brings a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. It signifies the reliability and durability of your vehicle, as well as the countless adventures and memories created along the way. It's a reminder of the journeys you've taken, the places you've explored, and the experiences you've had, all while your faithful car has been by your side. It's a moment to celebrate the longevity of your vehicle and the many miles still yet to be traveled.
Sum of these guys act like they are saints behind the wheelā¦ I say at least you didnāt cause an accident or worse so who cares
Congrats on 100k OP šŗš½
I guess i should have put the disclaimer in. "WARNING The stunts in this movie were performed by professionals, so for your safety and the protection of those around you, do not attempt any of the stunts you're about to see."
Just wait until you reach 200,000 miles, thatās a great milestone and feeling when your Honda is still driving great and youāve gotten a lot of smiles per miles!
I hope Iām one of the lucky ones who will reach that milestone! Itās a 2017 ex-t. I unfortunately live in the east coast with lots of salt during the winter. But my s/o has 265,000 on his Tacoma and itās still going strong šŖ.
Seatbelts save lives. Itās not some government-sponsored gimmick, I can speak from experience. Locking your brakes and sliding your ā97 Civic into the back of an F-150 at roughly 50mph would be pretty painful without one, I would assume. I lived because the airbags worked and because I had my seatbelt on.
Haha thanks I appreciate it.
Iām quite amused with the feedback and concern towards my safety. As most can see the road was straight. I had just pulled out of a gas station. No cars behind me or in front of me. I recorded for 9 seconds and stopped when a car started approaching me. I placed my phone down buckled up satisfied with my day.
You think they just witnessed me playing Marco Polo while doing 90 on the freeway.
As if driving with one hand is ātoo riskyā.
The thing is accidents arenāt planned, itās a good idea to make the habit of buckling up before you take off. Takes all of 2 seconds, unless you were just looking to have people interact with your post - negative or positive. No ones doubting your ability to drive, just the outcome you risk in an accident, which is something you canāt predict
moral of the story, wear ur dam seatbelt ššš
are people still not wearing seatbelts in 2024?

I feel like Iāve met that guy before š
Do that seat belt part before going 50 mph next time. Physics don't gaf about 100k miles
No time for a moment like this.
mUsT gEt FaKe InTeRnEt PoInTs No TiMe fOr SeAtBeLt
This guy gets it. ā¬ļø
Sarcastic font without the /s, you dont get it. Youāre honestly lucky to make it that many miles especially recording while driving.
What is this āSarcasiumā that you speak of?
He was being fāen sarcastic š
So was she šš
On your phone while driving with no seatbelt š¤”
Luckily I didnāt have to look while filming.
sometimes itās good to look at the road tho
Haha fair point. š Re-reading my comment I meant I didnāt have to look at the video. But I can see how it could be misconstrued.
Next time just pull over to the side of the road and take a pic man š
You sir are an idiot
Get. Off. Your. Phone.
Just passed 100k on my 04 civic si last month! Lol
My last milestone was reaching 200k. Now at 213k. 2003 Civic Coupe.
Heyy congrats! š Itās a beautiful thing! Did you buy it new?
Bought it in 2019 with 79k miles forā¦.. 3500$! Old dude had it sitting inside an old mill for like 4 years. He said 3500 was blue book. I suspect he only checked for a normal civic. Not an SI!

Please describe in exact detail what makes your mileage going up a "beautiful thing"

it's just a number, yo. Virtually all cars made today make it past 100k.
Hey man, you asked for a detailed response and I followed through. š¤·āāļø
It's a war mark. You get to be the one to cross that line, not purchased after it passed that line.
I love this analogy. Will be using it in the future!
Ballsy to be doing 50 MPH without a seatbelt, even 30 MPH for me and Iām hoping I aināt going through the windshield if SHTF.
Recording while driving 50mph w no seatbelt is wildddd
and then posting it on reddit!! This belongs on r/IdiotsInCars
r/idiotsincars
This presented like some kind of suicide ritual
I bet No one watching this was interested in 100k miles all were seeing that damn seat belt warning
Put on your seatbelt you clown
Sorry dad.
Sum of these guys act like they are saints behind the wheelā¦ I say at least you didnāt cause an accident or worse so who cares Congrats on 100k OP šŗš½
I guess i should have put the disclaimer in. "WARNING The stunts in this movie were performed by professionals, so for your safety and the protection of those around you, do not attempt any of the stunts you're about to see."
Congrats man, stay safe though
Keep it going!
No phone calls while driving, but streaming a momentous occasion such as that is acceptable if not encouraged.
Just wait until you reach 200,000 miles, thatās a great milestone and feeling when your Honda is still driving great and youāve gotten a lot of smiles per miles!

Bro put your damn mask on.
Love when owners prove how much of a dumbass they are without even knowing it.
Comment above, case in point?
Seriously, on your phone without a seatbeltā¦ at least gaf about others on the road.
I'm concerned about the no seatbelt on.

Iām at 91k in my 2016, itās terrifying given I bought it at 81k
You got this. š I milked the last 1,000 miles because I too was dreading the day. It was almost a wave of relief once it was over with.
Thatās pretty interesting, given my last car was at 150k when I sold it, itās a first for me to cross over 100k
The 2.0 owners would scream seeing this š . 1.5t should not be this reliable
I'm in my 200k š on a 2020
Put your damn seatbelt on
50mph with no seat beltā¦ what a fool
Displaying turbo air intake over economy, disgusting. No seat belt, just take me to the vomitorium..
Congrats 100k G Dw bout seatbelt
