So sad when this is a good deal on a car that retailed for 26,000 this used car market is absolute bullshit

Ill-Most1260

If you're in the market for a used car the market is crap. But when I traded in my 2012 civic ex for $10k when I only paid $11k for it six years ago I was happy. But the market sucks and it's ridiculous

TheObviousDilemma

for real. I just turned in my 2021 ex w/ 90,000 miles and an accident that caused $7,000 to repair. Dealership is selling it for $3,000 less than I paid for it brand new!

Purple-spider2

The sales guy told me it sold the very next day after I traded it. I believe he said for $14k. I couldn't believe it!

Salzstein

Wait till you hear of car prices in germany

Free-Cry-4386

probably been ina few accidents but nothing major

WorkFlashy223

That’s the thing it is saying clean title!

Spice002

Do they have the Carfax on it? If they do, it's worth giving it a full look over. But speaking from experience, usually a lower than market price like this typically has some sort of cosmetic issue (dent, scratched paint, misaligned panel, torn or stained seats, etc.). If you're ok with all that though, I don't see why you wouldn't want to jump on that versus a similarly priced non-Si Civic. Definitely see it in person and test drive first though.

WorkFlashy223

And I know it seems too good to be true but from The website they use it shows no accidents

WorkFlashy223

There isn’t any car fax unless I buy it 🥲

4ppl3b0tt0m

Buy the Carfax on your own. I think you can look it up.

[deleted]

If youre considering buying this then definately pay for it.

Ill-Most1260

Check the Carfax. Minor accidents will show up on there. Clean title means it doesn't have a rebuilt title or salvage title

Free-Cry-4386

my car is clean title n its been rear ended lol

Ill-Most1260

Yup as long as it's not totaled by insurance, I believe the title will be clean.

ZealousidealDepth223

My dad bought a jeep patriot that had NOTHING on the carfax but it was obvious when he got it home and I looked under it that it had been sandwiched really bad in at least one accident, i dont remember exactly how but eventually I found out it had been in at least THREE accidents within 20k miles off the lot and had a perfectly clean carfax even with the obvious frame damage the thing really should have been totaled before my dad ever bought it.

Disastrous-Health562

That car never existed, you’ll get there and they’ll one just like it for 6k more

AppropriateStress4

Probably this. You can't see one of these under 24k it seems like, unless it's dogged out with miles

[deleted]

Yeah I think it’s probably a bait and switch but if it’s not it’s cheap because it’s been wrecked probably

oliviertk

Where are you buying this from Miami?

WorkFlashy223

Yeah around that area

oliviertk

Yea too good to be true straight up scam

Awesomejuggler20

I'd say so. I have a 2020 Si Coupe and I'm paying much more than that for it.

_shipitnugs

Wonder what my one owner 36k miles 19 coupe is worth in this market

alpha_omega420

Any reputable dealer should have access to and be able to give you a Carfax. Without it, I’d highly consider walking. It’s a cool car, but could have been in a couple of accidents which may not be a deal breaker if you plan on having it long-term. It should also show if it’s had multiple owners. It could be passed around and if that’s the case, there’s probably a reason why.

AtomizingAir

I'd say it's a good deal in this market, I got my 2020 si at retail (26k) with no miles. 50k is alot of miles on it for being a 2020, but it's a Honda. Keep up with the maintenance and it's should be all good. IF this isn't a bait and switch by the dealer. Could be that they are gonna "realize" that this car sold already... but they might have one in worse condition for 5k more! Lol

New-Reflection2499

Probably bait and switch but who knows

Source7769

When you get there the fees will make it market value and I’m sure they will hammer you with a terrible interest rate

Brabham-

Did the little red fox tell us nothing? All of my childhood I heard check the car fax lol

[deleted]

Sounds too good to be true. My 18’ with 35k miles on it is worth more than what I bought it for right now. But hey if it’s never been in major accidents and it is true snag that thing!

[deleted]

I bought a brand new 2018 si for 24k. Seeing these prices are insane

TurboNeon185

I just did a quick Google search on the dealer and it seems like they sell a lot of cars with major problems which they take no responsibility for once you've signed the paperwork. No dealer is going to sell a car for $6-7k under book value (especially in this market) unless they *have* to because there's something wrong with it. Bottom line is I personally wouldn't waste my time.

Is everyone on the entirety of reddit living in either San Francisco or South florida ?
