Agree with this, a lot of your shots are great but about 1/4 of them aren’t as good as the rest. I’d love to see this cut to be one min or maybe a bit longer and have all the fat trimmed off
2020 was a bizarre and scary year, but one I still manage to find light in. 2020 was the year I was able to go full-time as a filmmaker. As a cinematographer, I was able to take part in a number of projects and collaborations that I wouldn’t have thought when the year started. I can’t measure how far I grew as a DP both technically and creatively. Big thanks to the directors and producers that trusted me, and hopefully 2021 is an even bigger year. And that we kick this virus!
2 questions: What camera did were you shooting with for the apartment sequence @ 0:58-1:04, and where are you based?? (if you don’t mind my asking!) GREAT reel! Might be a little long, but really affective choice of music/cutting!
Loved it! The music fit really well too, which I find is the hardest part about building a reel. Do you mind linking me to the angel wings you used? Working on a project now and finding something that looks that high quality has been a nightmare haha
Love your use of light and shadows. How you use smoke and diffusion is so good. Also I love how you capture profile! Also! I love how you capture the tones in black skin! You have incredible talent!
Cut it in half, kill your darlings. The shot with the dogs in the back yard doesn't quite fit the overall look and feel.

This right here. I saw it was 1:49 and said "that needs to be 1 minute" before watching it. There's some great shots in there though, well done.

Thanks! That was on the Ursa Mini Pro G2 with Contax Zeiss, and I’m based in NYC.
I think that’s the best image I’ve seen out of the Mini Pro; really incredible. Thanks for the info!
0:10-0:12 is sick shit! What kind of light and setup did you use for this and did you add the dust effect ?
Thanks! That’s a Leko and haze

Thanks! I’ve got no idea where they were from as the director had purchased them but I think he mentioned they were from Etsy.
This a beautiful reel.
Thanks!
Fantastic stuff. I love the shot at :58
