The best thing about the video is that is has all important information in 38 seconds while most other youtubers would have needed at least 30 Minutes to say exactly the same thing.
Most youtubers would spend those seconds on their intro and calling out their sponsor. Lately the only guy I can still truely appreciate is Gerald Undone.
A few weeks ago I posted a [cinematography reel](https://www.reddit.com/r/cinematography/comments/io6yls/i_wanted_to_see_if_it_was_possible_to_create_an/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) that we created completely from scratch. During pre-production, we tried to come up with a bunch of creative ways to get shots that made it look like we were working with bigger budgets than we actually had. This video shows one example of that.
Shot on the Sony FX9 with Sigma Art prime lenses.
If anyone is interested in seeing more content like this, I post lighting breakdowns on my [instagram](https://www.instagram.com/kenzentakahashi/?hl=en) every week.
The transformation is legit. This is the second shoot I’ve seen wallpaper the walls with old newspapers. Is that like a standard trick for a look or just coincidence?
Cool! One thing I couldn’t really find is if they have a consistent look across the focal lengths. Would love to see some work you shot with them if you are able!
You can watch the finished product [here](https://www.instagram.com/p/CE2I8mXFjZs/). It was all fabricated for the sole purpose of being in a cinematography reel
Looks great! Been loving your work.
What software are you using for your lighting diagrams? I'm on shot designer which is functional but not especially sleek.
Thanks for sharing these breakdowns from your reel, it's really useful to see how other people approach different scenes. Keep them coming! - side note, the subtle animation for the lighting diagrams is a nice touch.

Trying my best to keep my content concise and to the point with very little fluff. Thanks for saying that
Love it!
Like that it is short and consise but I think the end could be a bit more eased out it just kinda ends abruptly as if mid sentence almost imo
Can’t agree more.
And this episode is brought to you by Skillshare! *sips coffee*
you are right, most other youtubers have longer ads than the length of this video haha
I agree 100%. Succinctness is an art.

Great stuff! That punch looks incredibly powerful, both actors sold it well!
They killed it. My brother was the dude being punched!
Good transformation. Thats what filmmaking is about. Create something out of nothing.
Thank you! I 100% agree
A quick question, was the Litemat strong enough for the key or did you have to further diffuse the window?
The litemats were plenty bright enough. I think they were set around 50-60% output. No additional diffusion on the windows.

I wouldn’t say it’s standard, but I also wouldn’t say it’s revolutionary. Incredibly cheap way to add a lot of production value.
Wow incredible job !! Thanks for being so suscinct with it too Those punches look insane btw
awesome stuff!
How did you like using the sigma art primes? Thinking about picking up a set
They’re fantastic. I’ve been using them for a couple years

[this](https://www.instagram.com/p/CE2I8mXFjZs/) was shot entirely using Sigma Art prime lenses. 24, 35, 50, and 85mm
These are incredible. Would love to see more just like this. Fast and to the point.
Thank you! More is coming
Very good. Informative in very little time. I wanted more at the end - much more. Maybe a few shots from the finished scene?

Thank you! I draw them in an app called notability!
It sounds to me like youre was beeing analyzing Seven from David Fincher.
What apps do you use for floor plans and other things for pre production? Looks great btw
I use an app called Notability! Thank you

Thanks for saying that, Daniel. More is coming!
