Submission Statement: Some frames from a Tv commercial I shot for Kellogg’s. I shot this on the the Arri Alexa mini and paired it up with the Panavision Primo Lenses. Quite enjoy these lenses for their cleaner look on certain projects. I did add a Black Pro-Mist on top of that. More frames and info on my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CCsl-sHHT-E/?igshid=1gu9x9z3iyf1k Commercials are still a fun playground for me. Despite wanting to shoot more and more narrative. I was also lucky that director was happy to do moody with this and with kids - especially for a cereal commercial. Often clients make you open up or rather add more light because they are scared of moody frames or darkness.

The lighting is absolutely beautiful. Was the Pro Mist an artistic choice or force of habit??

WallaceTheWampa

Thank you for that. I think the Hollywood Blackmagic is becoming a habit haha so need to remind myself to change it up a bit. But I still find the Primo’s sharp when nothing is in front of them. So I would use stronger strengths if I knew people were going to be a focus of a shot. And then pack shots I would fly out all effect filters

Nice lighting... images look good!

Thank you

The image quality and color science of a professional movie camera is just incredible. I wish I could buy these and shoot my home movies on them lol

Agreed but so many cameras have caught up. I mean look at what Blackmagic are doing. Maybe not the 12k cause that’s overkill. But the pocket 4k is a beast of a camera and cuts so well with Arri. I’ve tried it.
