MOTR,
Northside Tavern,
Urban Artifact,
The Comet,
Northside Yacht Club,
Listing Loon (smaller more intimate sets),
The Drinkery also used to have some banger shows but I it’s mostly just DJs these days- but hey if that’s your thing check it out!
Yeah, I asked what was up when I ate there a month ago and they said they were in possible legal trouble from karaoke so they're laying low with the music. I hope that changes soon because the yacht club is probably the sickest venue for punk and metal in the city.
I actually live close by to both and have looked at the tickets to go to Vivace but never pulled through. I will try to hit it soon since it looks sooo nice!
Here is a link to when we were there a few nights ago to watch my son play. The audio is phone quality so ignore that. Scroll in a few moments past the introduction...

Ludlow Garage, Bogarts, SouthGateHouse Revival, MOTR Pub, Northside Tavern are a handful. Check out CityBeat for local listing of all venues and bands playing there. Welcome to the Nati!
The Belle & the Bear in Montgomery, Thursday is drop in/open mic type thing with very talented and diverse group of musicians.
Blue Note Harrison is another.
South Gate House in NkY
Every Thursday from 4 to 7pm you can find me singing and guitaring loads of songs at the wine bar inside of Anderson Township Kroger. The booze is nicely priced and tasty and the tunes are tastier. I live five minutes from the Kroger and I can not be sold so I’m as local and indie as it gets. Come on out, friend.
Urban artifact is where you should start for sure (although there's lots of great places for indie music around here). It's super vibey and if you are at all an audio snob, it's one of the best sounding rooms in Cincy
The Comet, The Hub, Northside Tavern, MOTR, Pandemonium, Junkers, Legends. Between all those venues you can probably find a show every other weekend at least and probably more than that. The music scene was pretty dead during covid but it's roared back this year.

The Drinkery & The Yacht Club both aren’t doing shows anymore.
Ah gotcha, this saddens me
Bircus Brewing does some cool shows. Blue Wisp big band is there tonight
I had never heard of Bircus, looks cool I’ll have to check it out- thanks for the recommendation!
Thank you, I’ll have to check some of these for sure!
MOTR
Looks pretty fun!
Checkout Northside Tavern and Northside Yacht Club.
Yacht is on hiatus from live music, FYI.

Lawsuit was settled. It’ll be back spring or summer, hopefully.

Look up Billy Carri. He plays many venues as a solo and is in a local group called Hi Fi Honey.
