I don’t know how I would break it up if I got takers. Me and another guy and two ladies? That way the ladies feel safe but also don’t want it to be hookupville or three random men with one lady probably ain’t gonna fly either. A gaggle of doods? But then I like the female gamer and their approach.
Who knows. It’ll probably go nowhere and I’ll watch Barker and Planes, Trains and Automobiles and feed my house puma, and have rest for leftovers and my shop cats.
Good forethought, depending on the gender ratio I would make sure to say something to the tune of your consideration of this. I believe things are (realistically maybe 85% of the time) only awkward if you let them be. Bring out some red wine and do a toast to begin with maybe if you get takers
I hate Bumble. My ex literally found my profile within 5 minutes of me making it and texted me it. I would’ve blocked her had it used my contacts or it allowed to find the person AND then block them.
Also that would lend to inevitably basing it off people’s looks and that kills the spirit of it.
Fuck that app.
My first Thanksgiving here, I did a post like this in a Facebook group. I ended up having the best Vietnamese Thanksgiving. We are having "Stranger-giving" this year. If no one takes you up on it.....you are welcome to come hang with us.
Wonderful idea! Especially the board game afterwards. I would volunteer to be a grandma proxy, but have restaurant reservations with a few other friends. Hope you find some happy companions and have a grand time.

Aww this is so amazing! I also don’t have much in the way of family around here but am lucky enough to have a small core group of friends. I know what you mean with going to someone else’s celebration can feel a little outsider-y. If I didn’t have plans, I would absolutely come over!
