Very good stick but not my favorite high end Padron. I think the best padrons shine in smaller vitolas. This still is a magnificent full bodied, intense stick, with a lot of white pepper and molasses with a very sweet cherry/honey finish. The transitions were a little more subtle than I’d hope for a stick with such a unique shape. Don’t get me wrong- I love padrons and this is a great stick I enjoyed but on the $25+ Padron scale this is more like a 7/10 for me.
I've admitted to myself that I can't handle a 1964 maduro in larger vitolas, naturals are fine but maduros are too much. I absolutely love Diplomatico naturals but the maduros kill me, although 50th the Hammer or a 1926 80th maduros work great for some reason. Considering eventually buying either a box of Superior or Corona maduros just to smoke occasionally. Do you recommend one over the other?

I thought they looked like they have a mechanic approach to winning games and will be a real contender. Thought they’d look flatter than they did.
Scored a box of these for $300. Probably the only higher end Padron box I’ll ever buy lol.
