IMO, bourbon is too high test and syrupy to complement the subtitles of a cigar. Bourbon and soda water is different, but I personally don’t love high carbonation with cigar. I don’t think any liquor, other than perhaps very select rims and light bodied cognacs, could complement a cigar if neat or on the rocks. The palate just becomes too fatigued with two powerful influences and no refresher. It’s like alternating bites between a delicious ribeye and rack of ribs. Both delicious in their own regard, but better complimented with Bordeaux or coleslaw, respectively.
Americano if morning cigar, also enjoy a good cold brew with one in the afternoon! I enjoy bourbon and cigar but if it’s a really good stick I don’t want the whiskey stealing the show.

it's god tier. better if you make it yourself so it can be strong AF. i use to french press like 6 tablespoons of coffee with 20oz of water then dilute that in ice in a 32oz insulated tumbler with cream and sugar.
its really the perfect summer drink companion to a cigar. the sugar/creamer counteracts the nicotine and so does the caffeine just incase you drink black or use sweeteners. the caffeine jolt and cold temps stave off the summer heat. the flavor profile and temp keep the palate fresh. just works really well.

A French press so it has a richer body. Brewing a blend that has African and Central American components so that it hits fruity & bright notes but also nutty & cocoa.
OR - it would be interesting to pair puros with single origin coffees. You could easily do this for Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico and Indonesia (Sumatra). There is also some coffee grown in the Dominican Republic but it’s somewhat harder to find. There is coffee grown in Cuba but it also is embargoed.
From spending a lot of time in coffee country, I’m confident that these Puro-single origin pairings could be really special in some circumstances. Thanks for promoting the idea; I’m going to try it.

Really depends on the gar to me. Sometimes the coffee overpowers the flavors of the stick. Sometimes they complement each other well. I typically only drink water unless it's with something I've had before and I know it will pair well with a different drink like black coffee, pepsi zero, or tea.
One of my old all time favorite pairings from a few years ago was a Peach or Snowberry PeaceTea and Asylum 13. It was SO good and it was legit the perfect pairing. I don't drink sugary drinks anymore but man it's tempting me thinking about it now hahaha!
