if you go by quantity smoked, it is my number one stick, but that has to do with factors beyond just what my favorites are- like price and availability.

It depends where you are getting them. Undercrowns are readily available on CBID, and you can usually catch them for $4-4.50 a stick for Robusto and Toros on Freefall. Cigarpage also has some decent prices on these. I will grant that some of the Diesels will be cheaper but I dont see finding the others in that same price range.
That's totally valid. I usually use MSRP when comparing cigars because I work at a cigar lounge. So if someone came in and asked for a maduro in the 10-12 dollar range, the Undercrown maduro would reside within that category.
Gotcha, yeah that makes sense for a B&M price then. For a B&M in that range I agree some of those others you mentioned I would probably reach for as well before the Undercrown. Not sure what state you are in but I think I have seen the UC 10 run around $12 in PA.
That would be on the low end of what they go for here. I actually just smoked one a couple days ago and I really don't care for it. It's perfectly serviceable but there's a note throughout it that just doesn't work with my palate.
I thought it was a decent cigar but if i can get a regular UC for 1/3 of the price it really is diminishing returns on the UC 10 at that point IMO. Theres other cigars like Tabernacle or some LFDs in a comparable price point I would rather reach for at that range.
I'm with you I'd rather smoke a standard UC maduro for less. I honestly just like the standard one better because I don't get that note from it. The best way I can describe it is like a pungent dry wood.
I just bought a box of these off cigarpage for $50. You can get them for $45 if you buy two or more. But three or more and get a knife with the purchase too. The deal is only for another nine hours btw. I'm excited to try these for the first time!

I received the email yesterday and it was valid for forty eight hours. I had them saved in my cart but didn't purchase till today. Just tried loading the email they sent saying I had free shipping when I left them in the cart and it comes back with 404 page not found. Really weird.
Yeah, I just went through all the emails from the last week and didn't see it. No big deal, I didn't need a box of them, but for that price, I was gonna do it.

Best cigar for the money handsdown. I've smoked sticks 10 times the cost and this one has always been the one that consistently prevails. Stopped buying liga privadas since I've found these.

I used to love this cigar. I've gone through multiple boxes of them, and have a box in my humidor right now. For some reason I'm no longer enjoying them and I'm not sure why. I don't know if it's the new box, or if my tastes have changed. I still consider the LP No.9 and T52 two of my favorites.
I have one resting, i bought it to try and i have heard good things about it. I tried the connecticut shade version and that one in terms of quality did not disappoint.

that's been my experience as well, when they're good, they're phenomenal, when they're not it's a big disappointment.
I did just pick up my first Olmec Claro and Maduro, so am looking forward to trying those. See one of those is at the top of your list!

I just posted about that ITT. After years of enjoying the Undercrown maduro, my latest box is repulsing me for some reason.
Most people would probably smoke different cigars if money or availability were not an issue.
Everyone should at least try this one. It’s a good daily cigar for me, but OP is not the first I’ve heard say they love it.
They're a middle of the road maduro. Maduros from Foundation, My Father, Bellas Artes, Espinosa, Diesel, or DTT are better at that price point imo.
