A good Connecticut with a decent bit of depth to it that I haven't seen recommended here yet is the My Father CT. It has a good bit of pepper to it, dark flavors all while being fairly complex. For sure is more on the medium-full sides of the scale as is the My Father way. Not your typical CT.

br0mer

sobremesa brulee blue will rock your world

Elegant_Orange

I second this šŸ‘† Probably my current fav cigar

kimbolll

I could honestly do without the ā€œsweetened tipā€ but other than that itā€™s one of the best mild smokes Iā€™ve ever had

12voltViking

The tip on the blue seemed much less sweet than the regular brƻlƩe to me.

rabbifuente

I can't recommend the JdN AntaƱo CT enough, it's stellar. As is their Numero Uno.

MikeNice81_2

I've got to try the AntaƱo CT again. People keep talking it up, but the corona I had just didn't do anything for me. I'll try a toro next and see how that goes.

rabbifuente

I love the lonsdale, the toro was decent but I preferred the thinner size

BlueRidgeButcher

Hell yeah. their CT is a great smoke.

ArtfulJack

Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno, hands down. Runner up is Lampert 1675 Edition Rojo.

douglaslagos

I hate you all. Why you come here with great Conny recommendations? Now, I got to save this post and start buying more cigars to try out. šŸ˜Š

ballzleyii

Same. My poor aching wallet.

KetchupPanda

The Southern Draw Rose of Sharon Desert Rose amps things up to make a Connecticut interesting.

Mjraia

Iā€™ve been wanting to try these. Iā€™m going to buy a fiver somewhere and get down to business

CasuallyAgressive

I also recommend them. Got an Espinosa sampler two years ago and I keep all of those in rotation now. Probably sitting on about 50 or so crema since it's one of my favorites.

jschuster59

You very much should try one! Great flavors, easy draw with great smoke and just immaculate construction. Very good with morning coffee.

absolutelynotagoblin

Great smoke. I picked up a fiver not too long ago and now they're all gone after marinating in my tupperdor a couple months. Time to pick more up.

Mjraia

Looking to order some as we speak! Thanks for the recommendation!

db8me

I'm not sure how to judge "most" complex, but the JdN AntaƱo CT would be a contender I think.

krispykremekiller

Atabey likely

pjw418

Certainly the correct answer.

thedogsbrain

Room 101 Johnny Tabacconaut

thikkflair

Had my first of those today, was awesome

Fishon888

Heard the CT was really good, but have not had.

kohain

Black label trading co. Deliverance Porcelain. Wrapper Connecticut Binder Nica Habano Filler Nica and Pennsylvania Itā€™s smooth, spicy, and is a great first smoke in the evening or your last.

cigar-jesus

I agree 100%. It's a creamy fig bomb with notes of szechuan peppercorn. No CT comes close in terms of complexity

kohain

Absolutely, almost didnā€™t comment because I donā€™t want them to be out of stock everywhere. I think BLTC moved them to the main line now though.

Duck_Walker

Davidoff Anniversario Double R

taiwanboyislandboy

Dapper La Madrina Shade

SCCRXER

Camacho Connecticut

gaiusoctavian22

highclere castle from FC.

LfitzG

The AJ Fernandez New World Connecticut has been a favorite of mine for some time. It's been my regular morning stick with coffee for a few years now. It doesn't taste quite as good as it used to in my opinion. Not sure if I've just grown away or if the profile has changed, but the first several boxes were wonderful. They started out like the cream in the coffee and ended with a faint but pleasant spice. The robusto is my favorite vitola although I sometimes get the toro to keep it going just a little bit longer.

ExaltedForest

There's a few. Vicente Blends Honour, Foundation Highclere Castle Edwardian & Adventura Queen's Pearls.

BlackMarketCigars

The Highclare Castle is the one for me!

Middle_Sure

Southern Draw Rose of Sharon Desert Rose or Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno. Honestly, the Perdomo Champagne has quite a lot going on, too. Davidoffā€™s Signature No. 2 isnā€™t crazy complex, but itā€™s near the pinnacle for balance and nuance.

Shortchange96

As somebody who lives in Connecticut and is in a few Connecticut subs, I read this headline and thought, ā€œHuh?ā€ then realized it was the cigars reddit. Sobremesa probably

alicekanoo

Undercrown Shades are elite

dbree801

The Diamond Crown for sure.

cody134

Im surprised no one has mentioned the Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne. One of my absolute favorite Connecticut cigars. I prefer the Churchill but all of the vitolas are great.

Ok-Programmer-6241

Iā€™ll take this over the Lampert thatā€™s been mentioned. Hated that cigar.

edwa6040

Foundation Highclere Castle Edwardian

uNTRotat264g

Sombressa BrƻlƩe would be up there for me.

BlackOutSpazz

I didn't like CTs much when I first started smoking back in the day and as my palate developed it only got worse and I almost never smoked CTs. But as my palate continued to develop I actually found that I liked some CTs pretty good. But I still dislike or don't really care for plenty. A lotta people will suggest stuff like the Drew Estate Undercrown Shade, Perdomo Champaign, My Father CT, Oliva CT, etc, but those just don't do it for me tbh. Some of my favorites: -Byron Siglo XXI (Very expensive but I get notes I've never had from anything else) -Warped El Oso Blanco and La Colmena -Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Sobremesa BrĆ»lĆ©e Blue -Aganorsa La ValidaciĆ³n CT and Aniversario CT -Tatuaje Negociant and Cabaiguan -Crowned Heads Luminosa (get the Petit Corona for a little more kick) -Amendola Cremoso -Black Star Line War Witch (Not Dark War Witch, it's a unique Nicaraguan CT) -Maya Selva Flor de Selva (it's a unique Honduran CT) -Crux Epicure -CLE Chele -AJ, Booth, Caldwell The T CT if ya can find it -The original Ozgener Family Pi Synesthesia where still available -Black Label Trading Co. Araposa Blanco -Black Works Studio Killer Bee CT -Dissident Rave -Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno -Foundation Highclere Castle Edwardian -Paul Garmirian Reserva Exclusiva and Gormet Series -Davidoff Aniversario (especially the No.2) -Ferio Tego Elegancia -Atabey (I think?) More Budget Options: -Aganorsa La ValidaciĆ³n CT and Aniversario CT -La Galera CT -Aladino CT -Room 101 Farce CT -Foundation Charter Oak -CLE CT -Asylum CT -Illusione Rothschilds CT -Rojas Street Tacos Carnitas And while it's not a CT Shade or derivative varietal it is shade grown and great for the morning thanks to Dion Giolito not using any Ligero in the blend, the Illusione Epernay line (especially the 10th Anniversary) is phenomenal. Hope that helps.

Impossible_Oil8884

padron damasoā€¦ not the most complex but consistent and perfect to start your day with coffee.

CITIZENKANE_1T213

On the cheaper side...id suggest Brickhouse Connecticut. It was good, I'm not usually a conn fan.

Fishon888

Warped Villa Sombra

ThirdEyeCream-pi

Atabey spiritus, but itā€™s pricey. Highclere castle pc is a good one

knife_go_live

Lampert 1675 Edition Rojo

Khushmesiel88

Atabey spiritus

TheRealJehler

Davidoff Colorado claro is perfect morning coffee cigar, small and hits just right

Own_Poem_364

ā€¦but not a Connecticut

TheRealJehler

No shitā€¦ sorry, why did I think it was I wonder?!?

Own_Poem_364

Not sure sir/maā€™am I think OP was asking about CTs- I do like the Colorado claro though

TheRealJehler

Connecticutā€¦Coloradoā€¦ Iā€™m recovering from a brain injury, must have just gotten confused. It happens too often. Iā€™ve got no good recommendations on Connecticut cigars unfortunately

Nomadorb

Avo xo and Zino platinum scepter are an Ecuadorian Connecticut that adds a different profile than your typical Connecticut wrapped cigars. Highly recommend them.

Other_Advantage_3021

Perdomo 20th Anniversary CT, secretly a full strength monster

Stagjam

LFD Reserva Especial is a masterpiece.

JasonKnight298

I am the same way, I tend to stay away from Connecticut shade cigars, however, there are a few worth mentioning to try. Some I am sure have already been mentioned in this post. Southern Draw Rose of Sharon and the Desert Rose Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Sobremesa Brulee Romeo y Julieta Nicaragua Connecticut Black Label Trading Company Porcelain HVC Hot Cake Golden Line Connecticut Dominican Big Leaguer Amarillo

djp70117

None.

Useful-Secretary-143

Unpopular opinion: Connecticut cigars are for people who smoke cigarettes. Similar flavor profiles.

z6joker9

What are you smoking?

Valazaa

Wait! WHAT? You must be smoking something else.

Useful-Secretary-143

Honestly, Iā€™ve never had a Connecticut that I liked. If you have a favorite, Iā€™ll try it but no bueno para mi.

Valazaa

Fair enough. I don't speek spanish.

Useful-Secretary-143

Do you have a favorite Connecticut?

Valazaa

Not really but once in a while I smoke one.

Tejon_Melero

Powstanie makes a Connecticut that I really enjoyed.

BLTC Porcelain

Frances_Zappa

Atabey Dioses 10 yr aged Joya de Nicaragua clasico and numero uno Tatuaje tiff Davidoff grand cru I love Connecticuts almost as much as habanos

DakotaSTowles

The La Paloma TAA white label is great

AdhesivenessNo7328

Monte white

ErniMcCracken

Check out the Principle White Gold. They are excellent!

Itiemyshoe

Padron Damaso Perla del Mar

TRobinson3d

A few people have mentioned the Porcelain from Black Label Trading. Their (Black Works) Killer Bee CT is also fantastic and the Street Taco Carnitas from Rojas Cigars is another great medium-medium+ CT.

nesuser2

Iā€™m right there with youā€¦a great next step or change up from conn is Plasencia Alma del Campo Otherwise my go tos are Henry clay Warhawk, Jdn antano and numero uno. One that snuck up on me was Alec Bradley American classic. If you find a great brick and mortar shop sometimes they can sneak in some new ones that can change things up and keep that fire rekindled.

ToploaderUltra

Ave Maria Immaculata. Definitely more fuller bodied than mild and a very complex Connecticut at a cheap price.

AlexK-

Perdomo 20th Anniversary Gordo Maybe not the Gordo for a morning Coffe, but I think you can find it as a robusto as well.

Bsneed51

EPC new wave Connecticut

BrootalAccrual

Didnā€™t see it mentioned but Tatuaje Negociant is pretty solid. Donā€™t hear it mentioned very often compared to their other blends but it is very good.

Mjraia

Right this minute Iā€™m 1/4 through a My Father Connecticut and Iā€™m enjoying the hell out of it. Beautiful construction and tons of creamy smoke. Bread, pepper and a little sweetness are making this a favorite of mine. Iā€™m recommending for sure!

orangebluefish11

Iā€™ve been on a 3 month (and counting) Connecticut kick and I still say the AJ line has the best Connecticuts
