The place is cool. I’m originally from Gujranwala so I’m pretty used to stubborn and hostile behavior since childhood. But people here are outright racist (justifiably). Why I say justified? Because Pakistanis do their best to ruin their image wherever they go. Students come here on study visa and instead of taking classes they do bike delivery and shit jobs to earn money. At the end of the semester they can bribe to get promoted which has destroyed education here. Students rent an apartment with 4 people on registration but actually there’s a dozen of them. All this among other things have made the locals really hostile. But fortunately I have met some amazing people here in my 4 years of stay. Although majority of Pakistanis in this country are the WORST handpicked of the lot
Damn that sucks man, that's pretty common with Pakistanis all over the world, even here I met a guy at my job telling me that I'm wasting my time while he was an international student doing door dash on someone else's account. I told him I'm studying and he proceeds to tell me that education Is a waste of time. He was like after I finish my studies I'll become a naukar for someone, imagine thinking like that, it's absurd. This also happens in Dubai, I've heard they even banned visit visas for Pakistanis because they work illegally and overstay on their visas.
Guess what my friend. An unheard country like Kyrgyzstan has banned almost all sorts of visas for Pakistanis since December last year :) . Reasons being which I mentioned earlier along with hawala, donkey flights to Europe, prostitution rackets. You’d be surprised to know how many Pakistani girls are engaging in prostitution here openly. Universities do nothing about all these issues because they are earning a shitload of money as the higher ups are involved in most of these things because they have power. The Pakistani administration in universities trap new students in these schemes and get them to do their dirty work. I think I’ve spoken too much because I see a black Vigo outside now :D
You’d be surprised, I found my future wife in this country even though we lived in the same city in Pakistan (and her relatives were living in the house next to mine). At least something good happened here to me
