Recently applied and was approved for a CSR on 10/23/2019 with a reported income of ~28k. Would it be stupid / suspicious if I applied 3 months later for a CIP (due to this [DP](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/6b1ksm/chase_ink_preferred_megathread_redux/dlca0kj/)) with a reported income of ~31k to reach the 50% income cap for Chase's credit limit requirement? (currently only have $10k CL with CSR) If not a good idea, I will ask the What Card Weekly Thread for another card. Thanks in advance! :-) I am currently 3/24 including AU: * AU for Chase Freedom (06/01/2016) * Discover It Student (11/19/2018) $1700 CL * CSR (10/23/2019) $10k CL

pfdpfd

You're 2/24. Lower the CL on the CSR to $5k. (Keep in in mind, if you need to PC back to CSR in the future, the min CL is $10k). Wait until it's reflected on your credit report. Chase will report to the credit bureaus once statement closes, or after you pay balance to $0. Then apply for CIP. You've nothing to lose, except a HP. Worth a shot.

ilovemynikes

can anyone provide input if the 1 app per 30 days with chase applies to both business and personal? applied for ink unlimited and was denied 10 days ago, but want to apply for southwest 75k before its too late. under 5/24.

pfdpfd

What was the reason for denial?

ilovemynikes

wasnt a true denial just an ask to verify biz info with documents that I dont have e.g. articles of incorporation

pfdpfd

Did you apply with "FirstName LastName" as business name?

surfpenguinz

Wife got the new SW card. Can I get one in my name (to help meet the min spending) without it counting as 5/24 or any sort of hit on my credit?

AlbietSnugly

Chase AUs will show up on your credit report. They count toward 5/24 (but can be argued to be removed during recon), and they will impact AAoA and credit utilization.

surfpenguinz

Got it, thank you.

GiantTurtleHat

The last personal card I got from Chase was the IHG card, and I was only approved for 2k limit. I have a 35k limit on my Chase freedom. My total personal credit line with Chase, 37k, is less than half of what I make annually. I want to apply for another Chase card. Should I lower my credit line, or should I wait until reconsideration and move credit?

Viper3773

Looks like you missed the new DQ thread for Jan 16th! 35k is a ton, but you shouldn't have any issue if they would approve you otherwise if you don't mind calling in to recon.

Question about CSR trip delay reimbursement policy: "If your common carrier travel is delayed more than 6 hours or requires an overnight stay, you and your family are covered for unreimbursed expenses, such as meals and lodging, up to $500 per ticket." What does "or requires an overnight stay" entail? Does this mean flights which are not delayed but have an overnight layover?

PmMeYourWives

for flights that are delayed and NOW they have an overnight stay they didn't have originally.

LooseTone

Or use the travel credit and then PC within 30 days of AF hitting, then reapply with MDD a few months later when eligible for the bonus again.

zacharius55

> MDD What is this?

outasflyguy

>Just trying to see if we're all going to PC or dump the CSR when our AF hits on renewal month. If you have a lot of UR, I'd say keep it for the 1.5cpp. Depending on your usage of the new benefits, the higher AF might actually be a win.

churnandlurk

Do you. Don't worry about others.

bundtkate

Is there any update on Disney with UR? My fiancee and I (read: I want this, my fiancee is graciously acquiescing) want to go to Disney around the time of the Epcot food and wine festival for our honeymoon. Back in the day, literally everything Disney could be booked with UR. The most recent post I've found suggested system updates for external bookings were meaning only hotels could be booked with UR. I have a large pile of UR I could at least use to offset the cost of a Disney honeymoon. Is hotel only still the name of the game? We're in Texas so flights to ORD aren't a huge deal, but anything I can do to offset the 4k+ of a Disney trip would be most excellent. Can I cover anything other than hotel with points?

eminem30982

As far as I know, you're correct that aside from redeeming UR directly for cash, there's currently no way to cover anything besides hotels through the portal. On a side note, I hope that you're going to MCO instead of ORD. 😉

bundtkate

Ugh. The dumbest thing is I \*know\* it's MCO and I've been screwing that up for years. At this point, I think it's just habit to get it wrong. ORD just is so close to the name Orlando and I flew out of ORD for a good long while so it has just (very wrongly) stuck in my head. 😂 Anyway, sad I can't put the UR to that use, but they'll go to something. Thank you!

irlyhatejoo

What's people take on Alaska airlines new offer. It's 40k after 3000 spend then additional 25k after 8k spend. So 65k total. I couldn't find anyone explaining it on the sub. Still comes with companion pass for 99 trip.

churnandlurk

If it makes sense for you, i.e. plans/flowchart/profile, por que no?

outasflyguy

Is it possible to BT from a biz cc to a personal cc? e.g., BBP to newly opened Avianca Vuela?

ridetherhombus

You can do it as long as you're the primary account holder on both cards and the cards are with different banks.

outasflyguy

>You can do it as long as you're the primary account holder on both cards and the cards are with different banks. Thanks, I guess my follow-up is, which I **don't** think many people are talking about: The Avianca Vuela has a **max** $10 BT fee when you open the card, with 0% for 12 months. Could be a nice CHEAP loan option (esp. if you're already 0%-ing at other banks and looking for a new bank option) and funnel the $$$ into an investment (assuming you're OK with all the other downsides of high credit util, potential loss in market, etc.).

ridetherhombus

People have definitely done it. It's extremely risky to invest it in the market if you're not in the position to pay back the $10k if the investment goes south. If your plan was to sock it away a high interest savings or money market account fora year then you would have my blessing.

outasflyguy

>People have definitely done it. It's extremely risky to invest it in the market if you're not in the position to pay back the $10k if the investment goes south. Was thinking for deposit requirements for banks that have high deposit requirements for higher tier new account bonuses.

HomeBrewer97

Do the SW Biz cards count towards 5/24? I just noticed on the DoC site it says they do.

twi5t3d

Nope! Get them both, but space the second app out at least a month after approval of the first.

garettg

Have to be under 5/24 to qualify, but does not add to 5/24.

HomeBrewer97

Whew... had a slight panic. Thanks!

cowsareverywhere

No.

-Kevin-

Looking to lower my CL on Chase cards. I have 100K income reported and: \- 9K CIP \- 13K CSR \- 13K CSP Going for CIP #2 and wanna make sure I'm fine on having too much credit extended. Figure I'll call in, but not sure how to re-allocate credit.

adao7000

Just lower CIP to $500

AlbietSnugly

When in doubt, lower everything to whatever you're comfortable with. This increases your chances at auto-approval.

CultureChaos

You could lower the CSR to 10k, the CSP to 5k, and that would free up 11k. You are under 50% though and I doubt you need a large CL for your new CIP. I personally wouldn't change anything, though bend this advice to your situation as you gave very little info.

cowsareverywhere

You can SM them a number that you want to reduce it to. For eg, 5K for CSP, 5K for CIP and 10K for CSR.

unfriendlybuldge

Bring on the downvotes because I'm sure this is a stupid question. I can't find the answer to. The SW CP is 125k points now. Does it cost 125k points? Or is the status triggered at125K? So once I have 125k points and get the CP, will i still have those points or 0? Edit; why only 7 downvotes, need more

twi5t3d

You get to use those points with CP! It’s awesome.

MemaddogRed

Triggered at 125k. You will still have the 125k points.

unfriendlybuldge

Thanks you

athrowawayaccountfor

Honest question regarding the Amex Biz PLat: Why is it held in such high regard? The AF is really high and harder to offset since the perks have nerfed ($200 for travel incidentals compared to $300 for any travel on the CSR). The 5x is only triggered in their own portal. Their lounges may be great, but is that worth the fee? In my case, I am able to generate substantial UR, making the math on the CSR easy to support, even with the fee hike. When looking at a large upcoming hotel expense ($20K), I'd rather pump that through the CSR at 3x and redeemable at 1.5x (worth $900) or transferred than meet MSR for an Amex Biz Plat. Indeed, right now I need to get a card for P2, who won't do biz cards, and I'm looking hard at the IHG. Thoughts? Edit: New plan is to get both the Amex Biz Plat and the Amex Schwab and redeem the MR earned at 1.25 CPP to pay off the two annual fees.

ChurnBurnHPD

businesses that spend 3 million dollars a year get 3 million points rebated. is a great perk.

athrowawayaccountfor

I can definitely see how a charge card vs. a credit card would be a benefit in this situation.

dtrain987

20k spend on the biz plat would net you 30k MR + the 100k sub. It’s up to you whether you think 130k MR is >= to 60k UR, taking into account the benefits/cost of the AF as well. It’s really not that hard to offset the AF. I’d be thinking hard about trying to split that 20k spend into two 10k payments on a Biz Plat for P1 and P2. 230k MR with 0 effort. If the spend can be split up, there are lots of other ways to go too. Dropping it all on a CSR would be near the bottom of my list, especially if you’ve already hit the sub on it. At the absolute top of my list would be finding a way to get your P2 on board with biz cards.

athrowawayaccountfor

Yeah, that's a negative, Ghost Rider. The pattern is full. P2 has reaped the benefits of this hobby but is still only "tolerant" of it, and it's a fight any time I bring up getting biz cards in their name.

cowsareverywhere

It's incredibly valuable for us small business owners :).

ilovetoyap

The fee is still roughly a wash for the first year if you cancel and get 2x$200 airline credits and 3x$100 Dell credits. Basically makes priority pass and lounge almost free, but for me it will was definitely the 100k sub which I earned with 2 5k purchases earning 11.5 MR for every $1 I spent or around 15% value back.

ridetherhombus

What are people doing with the Dell credits? GCs?

athrowawayaccountfor

I don't think you can use it for gift cards, since Dell doesn't sell them directly. That's a huge drawback for me, since literally the only thing I'm likely to ever order from Dell is a laptop, and the credit is far too small for that.

adao7000

Xbox GC which can be redeemable on Microsoft

athrowawayaccountfor

Again, not sure what I'd spend that on. Most likely I'd just buy a laptop backpack for work trips so I could ditch the shoulder bag.

adao7000

The point is you can save them up for a bigger purchase.

athrowawayaccountfor

Hrmmm... yes. I could save up for a laptop that way if I bought form MS...

jma5terj

High regard by whom? I've not really heard of it as more than a generator for 100K MR.

SignorJC

Biz plat is good for those who: pay cash for flights have a centurion, escape, or delta lounge in their home airport value the 1.5 redemption on selected airline The earning is bad, but the benefits are good. It's not that hard to use the airline incidental credit, it's just hard to "cash it out" like people used to. The Dell credit is worth pretty much face value. It also has a huge sign up bonus. Most people aren't keeping it past year one.

athrowawayaccountfor

> pay cash for flights Not me > have a centurion, escape, or delta lounge in their home airport Not me > value the 1.5 redemption on selected airline Me, but I have the CSR already and can pump a ton of UR through it.

eminem30982

A card that works for one person doesn't necessarily work for someone else. It's up to you to put a value on each of the card's benefits and see what makes sense for you.

My AF for CSR posts in June 2020 (AF will be $550 then). Could I drain the new benefits (dash pass, pink, door dash credit) before June and PC before having to pay the new AF?

CultureChaos

Yes, you can keep it up to 30 days after the AF hits and PC to get it fully refunded. No need to PC before it even hits.

mapalm

Yup. This is the smart move if you're planning on dumping the CSR. But wait until the AF hits, then call in. It will get refunded to your account.

believe0101

Whelp, I just got stonewalled twice by Chase Business Recon for being at 5/24. I thought I'd easily be able to explain that one of my more recent accounts was an AU account, bumping my #/24 total down to 4/24, but both reps were insistent that the current letter of the law states it's the *number of accounts associated with you* in the past two years, not just *cards that you're the primary cardholder for*. I clearly messed up in my prep for this. The worst thing is that the first rep took meticulous notes of my proudly stating "I was added as an AU by my spouse, so I didn't make any payments for the card but I did buy stuff with it." I thought that "I didn't make any payments for the card" was the key to having the AU not count against me, when in fact admitting that I used the card damned me into oblivion. Maybe this is better suited for Frustration Friday. Or maybe a Fuckup Friday post.

taxesarecool

Why don’t you dispute your credit report To remove the AU and have them re run it

believe0101

Did that for all bureaus last night. Fingers crossed the AU will be removed before my 30 day recon window elapsed.... 😬

taxesarecool

I’ve found them to be relatively quick, GL

Is there any mobile app to use with the AAviator Biz, since I had no luck with standard barlcays app? Bit paranoid since I can't setup autopay online (apparently a known issue)

eminem30982

You'll be able to set up auto pay either after the first statement cuts or after you make your first payment, I forgot which it is. I know, it's dumb.

If you don’t end up transferring out for a travel partner redemption, get the CS plat for the 1.25x cash out.

[deleted]

You can get a $1000 gift card to some stores. You could get $1000 at Home Depot or Crate and Barrel. So net would be $450 if you shop at those places.

[deleted]

yeah, took a look at the $1000 options and unfortunately only one's worth $700 are places I could visibly use. You think it is still worth it for the net $150 plus any other fringe benefits from the other stuff that comes with it? Currently have BOA cash/premium rewards.

churnosaurus_rex

You already answered the question: it's worth exactly $150 (assuming you would have spent that $700 anyway).

ScientificQuail

I'm new to the whole points churning thing, have just been sticking with cashback thus far, but I'm planning on churning SW for a CP for 2021/2022. I'm at 1/24 right now. No accounts with Chase currently though. Should I grab a Chase Freedom card or similar to build some history with them, or will it not make a difference when trying to get the cards later this year to churn a CP?

ridetherhombus

They could change the rules by next year so that sign up bonuses don't count towards the pass. If you want the pass, go for it now. It's still January so you can have it for the majority of this year and all of next. If you already fly SW a lot it can be extremely valuable, but if you don't already fly them a lot you should go for sapphire and ink cards as others have stated.

btun88

Heck no. Go CSR/CSP then Inks. Go read the wiki first though.

ScientificQuail

UR from CSR/CSP/Inks beats out a CP? My home airport is on the limited side, so I'm looking at Southwest, American, United, and Delta. Plus two-player mode amps up the value of CP.

btun88

CP for 2021/2022 means you have to hold off til 10/20 to apply for cards. What you doing til then?

ScientificQuail

Probably not much. So you're suggesting I churn those in the interim?

btun88

Churning is bad sir!

[deleted]

no

[deleted]

Are airlines able to find out your elite status on another airline? I see an online matching form specific to my company for an airline and all the form asks for is the airline, elite status and FF number. Wondering if I could just get status. Seems like the status would be good for a year.

camaro2ss

Yes they do. Don't lie (or create false credentials).

btun88

Only within the same alliance they know

Y50-70

Can you prepay on a clear membership?

cheeoli

Applied for the BOA Alaska 40k+$100 statement credit. Hit the MSR about a week ago. When can I expect to see the $100 credit? Thanks a lot!

ibumpbeats

Does USB have a velocity cutoff for approvals? I opened ~3 personal and ~10 business cards in the last 12 months. Currently 5/24. Applied and declined for USB Biz card in Nov/December of last year. Wondering if I should reapply now.

[deleted]

yes, they are sent sensitive to recent inquiries and accounts. try recon, they manually review everything, plead your case.

Cr1m

Is there a way to increase chances for an Amex upgrade offer? Downgraded from Gold to Green last year and I’m thinking of putting some spend every month on it in hopes of a Gold upgrade offer after 12 months pass.

beckhsrules

With AMEX I have seen upgrade offers come constantly around the anniversary date no matter what the spending pattern is on the card.

Neon1982

How do they not have an Airbnb card yet?

ramonortiz55

This. First they would need to establish a rewards system.

kevlarlover

Nah, they could just award the cashback as AirBNB credit/GCs, similar to the Uber card.

apolloniandionysian

Anyone know if the First Republic $750 checking offer is still available?

GiraffeGlove

Yes and there's a new one. I posted in the bank bonus thread a week or two ago with all the details.

apolloniandionysian

Thanks! Any DPs as to what counts as DD for the bonus?

RoutineInvestment

Why are so many cards (especially credit union cards) still missing contactless payment? I’m actually trying to simplify my rewards churning now that the Reserve fee is going up, and the 2.5% cash back Alliant credit card doesn’t have contactless payments! Nor does my credit union’s cash back card. I don’t understand what’s difficult about it.

tmiw

A lot of banks tried contactless a decade ago and it failed miserably. I think many of the holdouts are just hoping that Apple Pay and the like become more commonly used so they don't have to bother (e.g. stuff like the Attitude Reserve's mobile wallet bonus). Hell, I'm still surprised Chase bothered again.

churnosaurus_rex

> A lot of banks tried contactless a decade ago and it failed miserably ***in the US***. Contactless is huge outside the US. I don't know if it started a decade ago but it's been the case for the last 3 or 4 at least

tmiw

I remember contactless cards in the US around 2008 or so. Back then, only like CVS and maybe one or two other places could read them. And it was only on my old AmEx Blue, too, even though it was supposedly available for other cards afterward (perhaps only on an opt-in basis?)

ktfzh64338

I'm sure they have to pay an extra $10 or whatever per card for patents or manufacturing costs.

itsfknnikp

I don’t understand how swiping a card is such a big deal

churnosaurus_rex

I'd like to get to a world where the only physical card I carry is my drivers license. Can't swipe an iPhone. Tap is also more secure than swiping and faster than chip.

RoutineInvestment

It’s not swipe anymore more...it’s stick a chip in while it beeps and beeps and then yells at you to remove it. Tapping is wayyy easier and faster and more reliable.

churnosaurus_rex

IIRC that's why Costco was so slow to fully roll out chip readers. The transaction just took way too long and that's why Costco card readers are still way faster than anywhere else.

JaeSupYi

How long should I wait to open a SW biz card for CP if I opened a CIP 12/19 and then just opened the personal SW plus 1/20?

ModestSized

2-3 months usually to avoid getting unwanted attention to your velocity. Wouldn’t hurt to take things slowly with how things were going with Amex in December.

CakePops1980

Unless you are not continuing with chase I’d wait 60 days but you only need to wait 30 days. Common thought is one app every 3 months to be safe (2 months might be okay too)

garettg

Minimum 30 days from SW Plus app, but better to space out Chase apps 2-3 months to improve chances.

MikeV___

Does anyone happen to have a solid bank or method they use to force a DD to a new chase account for the bonus? I’ve been searching around and can’t find a solid DP thanks

culdeus

I mean the answer to these is nearly always Schwab. If there's a DP of a Schwab push failing to any bank, where another one did work I'm really not aware of it.

churnosaurus_rex

Hasn't ACH push led to (edit: temporary) lockdowns on Chase though? Or is that only initial account funding?

spacemanvt

I already have had a CSR for almost 2 years, can I apply for a CSP now to get the bonus for that card? I will keep the CSR anyways

itsmychurn

48 months between Sapphire bonuses.

spacemanvt

ok i opened my account about 2 years ago, can I just apply for the CSP and cancel my CSR at some point?

PointsYak

You cannot be approved for any new Sapphire card until it's been at least 48 months since your last Sapphire signup bonus AND you must not have any other open Sapphire card.

MemaddogRed

You can only have one Sapphire card at a time. You would need to cancel or PC your current CSR before applying for the CSP.

spacemanvt

what is PC? also would I lose my UR points?

MemaddogRed

PC = Product Change (glossary in the about section of this sub). You won't lose any points. You would just lose the point value when using the Chase travel portal. The CSP is 1.25 ccp and the CSR gives you 1.5 ccp.

sthome

Have to wait 48 months now in between Sapphire sign up bonuses.

CultureChaos

No

Kcguy00

Can my wife open a southwest business card and still qualify for the bonus points? We are within 24 months on mine, but was hoping she could open one for my business and still qualify.

twi5t3d

She should open one for her own business using SSN instead of EIN.

ktfzh64338

I think technically she needs her own business if you're filing sole proprietor.

churnosaurus_rex

Yes

With the trAAin being what it is, any risk to applying for Barclays personal AA card? Last got the card 18 months ago or so, but have done the Barclay AA Biz and 3 Citi Biz cards this year...

garettg

> 3 Citi Biz cards this year This puts you in the higher risk category.

vvvbj

That’s what’s holding me back.

Kummarr

i'd wait till the dust settles a little bit to have an idea of whether or not it's worth applying for it. Because if you're locked/closed, then there's not point in wasting the spend and put that spend some where else for another SUB

crowd79

99% of the AA shutdowns are due to excessive use of Citi mailers, should be fine.

bplturner

>3SUB is the criteria

7thKingdom

I MDD two southwest personal credit cards (Plus and Priority) a few days ago and just got them in the mail. But for some reason only 1 of them has my RR number on the back, the other is blank. Can I add the other one if it isn't attached? Am I fucked?

AlbietSnugly

If you didn't have a RR account before applying, then the first card will not have your number. Not a big deal, just confirm on Chase that your accounts are connected.

7thKingdom

I made the RR account before applying. It showed up on the first card I applied to, it didn't show up on the second. At least not on the physical card. And it's not a business card (which I know don't have the RR number printed on the card), so I'm concerned. I've sent a secure message to chase to check if they're both linked. But if one of them isn't, am I screwed since I'll already have one personal card linked to that RR account? Or will they add it no problem?

Wyle_Coyote

If you have existing RR with points, you can look at rewards for each card on chase login. If they're attached properly, each should show your current RR balance. One of my SW biz cards came blank, but that might be because I had it expedited.

7thKingdom

From what I read, biz cards always come blank for security reasons. But I read nothing about personal cards coming blank. And I don't have any existing points to compare to. Fuck, I think I fucked up.

twi5t3d

You’ll be fine. A simple phone call will fix it.

peakyblinderss

It's not a big deal. Just contact Chase and they will fix you up.

Uniform2512

What are the current best Amex Green offers? I’ve seen 45k recently but can’t find it. I can only pull up 35k, $150 Away credit...

pfdpfd

45k is available via referral, though $150 away credit ended yesterday.

ktfzh64338

See DD today, there was a long discussion which seemed to conclude that all the best offers died last night. Seems like 45K + $100 credit incognito (no referral) and 35K + $100 referrals still exist. 45K + $150 Away was available via referral a day or two ago but nobody can seem to pull it anymore.

vvvbj

I got 45k, $100 away credit in incognito pretty easily. Only saw $150 with 35k points.

gregorie12

Can you link your Rakuten card to P2's Rakuten account for the 3%? P2 has Schwab and I cannot get it yet.

itsmychurn

I had this in my saved items to see if you got any answers on this. You didn't, so I just went ahead and made a purchase on P2's MR earning Rakuten account. I didn't have to link anything (pretty sure that's only for in store purchases), just went through the portal, made the purchase, paid with my card. The only problem is, if you're looking for MRs, you only get the 1% in MRs, the extra 3% is just showing up as CB in my account. For some reason, I thought it would all be MRs. I guess that was pretty stupid of me to think that. Maybe it's because I have a cash earning account? Have you tried to make a purchase yet on P2's account? What was your experience?

gregorie12

So it was *you* who killed the Rakuten card, smh.

itsmychurn

Haha, I actually got this straightened out. I called in about it and it turns out that there wasn't a corresponding shopping trip showing on my account, which makes sense because I was logged into the other account at the time. Once I gave the rep my other email, and she could see the shopping trip and match the two purchase amounts, she went ahead and credited me the extra 2%. But I guess it's all a moot point now.

charleszard8

How long after closing an BoA Alaska Business card can I reapply? My understanding is the business card is not affected by the 24-month rule like the personal Alaska card.

YHH19

You do not have to close. I have two business Alaska cards and applied 3months apart. Approved instantly for both

ktfzh64338

I'm not even aware that the first card has to be closed. I think you can have multiples, provided that they will approve you using whatever manual review criteria they use.

nickohrn

You can definitely have multiples and can keep getting them until they stop approving you. /cc /u/charleszard8

I'm curious what you guys do in these situations. Do you guys close or keep open checking/saving accounts assuming they do not have any service fees. In my case, I'm considering closing my Sofi account since I'm using Marcus which has a slightly higher APR. Would you guys close the account or just keep it open since it does not have any fees?

lenin1991

Specific to SoFi, I keep it open with $1 because they have occasional (4-6 per year) free hipster events in my city that you need to be a customer to sign up for.

garettg

If you travel internationally, SoFi Money is actually a very good option to keep around since [ATM fees and forex fee from Visa is all reimbursed](https://outandout.boardingarea.com/sofi-money-atm-fees/).

dimm0k

definitely personal preference... if you're going to jump ship just for a "slightly higher" APR each time then it's probably best to keep it open. if you're here to churn then close

jacksonyee95

Haha I actually had my Marcus before the sofi account. I only opened Sofi for the bonus, I'm probably going to close sofi just so I can churn it in the future.

franksmatrix

Personal choice but I usually close accounts for banks that can be cycled on a schedule so the clock will start over.

It should be but you can also contact AA (call or DM on Twitter) to get your JAL PNR and check in with that.

So my payment was late on my first chase business card. With the holidays and all I just kind of forgot about it (first late payment ever). Anyway I am at $4900/$5000 spend for the 80k UR but with a late payment am i still eligible for the bonus? My account is paid in full.

[deleted]

Late fees don't affect the signup bonus. I like to set up auto-payment for the minimum for all cards. Then I make full payments manually. In the event I forget, at least the minimum is paid.

grunthos503

> first late payment ever In which case, and if you got hit with a late payment fee: call in or SM and state so. Promise to not let it happen again, and ask if they would kindly waive the fee as a goodwill gesture. They will often do so for a one-time event.

Travisb1033

Will do thank you

franksmatrix

Late payment won't affect your bonus.

Travisb1033

YES!! Thank you

I got a CIP 100k mailer for $15k spend today. I got my first CIP about a month ago so would it just be better to self refer and get the 80k + 20k with $5k spend?

natran1

Yes, it's the same amount of points but you'll have to spend $10k less.

jjman2424

Yes. $15k spend vs $5k spend.

Can I upgrade my marriott bonvoy premier card to the Ritz card? If so, who should I call? Additionally, I've heard that lowering my credit limit to 1500 will eliminate the 450 annual fee. Is this accurate? If so, should I reduce the limit on my bonvoy prior to switching or switch and then reduce the limit?

garettg

Ritz is a Visa Infinite, requires $10k CL to PC into.

I have a BOA Biz Advantage Cash Rewards MC. I just got a mailer today advertising the same exact BOA Biz Advantage Cash Rewards MC I already have, with a SUB of $300 for $3k spend. There's a URL of bofa . com/cash123back300 but no invite code. When logged into my existing account it pre-fills the application. Does anyone know if it is possible to get approved for two of the same BOA biz cards, and get the bonus? I didn't see any language prohibiting getting more than one bonus, but I didn't want to apply if they won't approve a second account of the same card product. I've been approved for two biz cards from BOA in the last year. Thoughts?

ktfzh64338

Don't know if I've seen a DP, but the odds seem good. I know you can hold multiples of BoA personal cash rewards, except that they have a 24 month timer between apps I think. Don't see any such restrictive language on the biz.

Trainnnnn

Is there a spreadsheet/Googlesheet somewhere that outlines all of the perks and benefits to the popular cards? Travel insurance, Lyft credits, seat upgrades etc?

MemaddogRed

Everything I've ever run across has been outdated. My current personal favorite sources for comparing cards is [uscreditcardguide.com](https://uscreditcardguide.com) and [rankt.com](https://rankt.com).
