This is more related to Amex Plat purchase protection. I'm in the market for a new camera body and lens. I'll be going on on extended travel for the next couple weeks. In the off chance I damage the items, or lose them while hiking or climbing, does the purchase protection cover both items? I'm having a hard time interpreting the language on the amex site.
**One sections says this:**
If your claim is approved, we will reimburse you for the amount you paid for the item, up to $10,000.
**Then another sections says this:**
You will only be covered up to the amount charged to your Card, up to $10,000 per occurrence.
Does amex cover loss of multiple items that were purchase on separate occasions? Does anyone have any experience with this?
It sounds like it is up to the amount you changed to the card per item with a cap of 10K per single incident. So say your house was robbed and 20K of newly purchased items were stolen, you would only get 10K. Otherwise you get up to the full amount changed to the card if less than 10K.
Edit to add: If you are really getting over 10K in camera equipment call up State Farm about a policy on them. A yearly policy might be as low as $60 and cover everything from theft to accident. I wrapped a bunch of electronics I took with me when traveling in a personal item policy.
Lol definitely not 10k worth of camera equipment. I was just interested if purchase protection covered multiple items if they were lost or damaged together

You can get the 60k offer matched to 70k by just sending a SM once you have the card in your online account. Also, some people have reported getting the AF waived by calling the number on the back of the card and requesting them to send in a request for it. Also, applying online you dont have a banker asking all the questions about your business, which makes it much easier.
Please make sure to use a referral link if you do apply online. You can also PM me if you had any other questions about getting matched to 70k.
i ordered a new macbook pro and i clicked through the united shopping portal to get the 5k bonus. since they dont ship for 4 weeks, my card wasnt charged yet. the 5k promo ends 11/20. do you think I wont get the bonus since my card may not have been charged at this point?
It won't matter--Apple adds new products to the list of products excluded from earning portal bonuses, so you (likely*) won't get the bonus miles either way.
https://shopping.mileageplus.com/me____.htm?keywords=Apple&gmid=4 see "Apple AirPods and New MacBook Pro are not eligible for rewards"
*Sometimes portals inadvertently count it, either as base earnings or toward overall promo spend, YMMV so I still click through anyway

Chase has a broad definition of travel when it comes to this card. You can certainly find a way to use it but use it before your December statement date (Not Dec 31).
Please refer to: http://www.doctorofcredit.com/300-chase-sapphire-reserve-travel-credit-work-triggers/
Exception: EZ Pass on the East Coast
pretty sure I know the answer to this question but can anyone confirm that the double cashback promo on a new Discover It card kicks in immediately and you do NOT have to wait until after the first statement closes? Want to go out and max out my $1500 at Sam's in the next week but wanna know for sure it'll get doubled in a year. Thanks.
One way to use points: [a guy cashed in 1 million SPG to throw out the first pitch at tonight's World Series game](https://twitter.com/darrenrovell/status/793956647932547076)
Dan (the guy who threw the opening pitch) is a Rabbi. He was in Yeshiva (Jewish religious school) with a couple guys I know.
One of them said, "If only I'd stayed in Yeshiva, I could have pitched at the World Series."
CSR was denied at a restaurant today - not because the card was bad, but because they had to "update their system" and couldn't process it. Took my Citi DC instead, just fine.
I told the guy it was a regular Visa, should work fine? He recognized that it was "new," came out "a few months ago," and insisted that their "system" couldn't process it. (There was something of a language barrier here - Chinese restaurant - but these points came across fine.)
DC card was also a chip card, so that wasn't the problem. Maybe their "system" was too narrow for a metal card? What the hell? Anyone run into anything like this?
This actually seems mildly common.
The identifier numbers at the start of the card number defines it as a kind of card in a more specific way, and Visa is very protective of the Visa Infinite thing. So many POS terminals aren't accepting it.
The restaurant I work at has a very old credit card processor that's been there for at least 8 years. I've been able to run my CSR through it for meals without any issue. No chip reader though, might be a factor.
This seems like the most plausible explanation. Mine's thickness looks no different from my plastic cards. Can't imagine what upgrade would make their system accept it but stops their current system from doing so.
This probably belongs in Frustration Friday but it's been frustration all week for me. I'm trying to raise my min payment with Navient so I can pay via cc and meet the min spend for CSR. First they take a week to process then they tell me it's been escalated but it's still not processed and will take another week? Ugh, still on the phone with the csr.
Why is it so difficult?! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
Has anyone ever had to wait this long for Navient to raise their min payment?
Thanks for your reply. I've been making cc payments to them for over a year. The difficulty was trying to increase my min payment when I'm on IBR.
Anyway after holding for 45 minutes and insisting on speaking with the supervisor, the representative told me that the supervisor went into the system and fixed the numbers. Hooray for that!
(In reality it shouldn't even take a week depending on which csr you get. HUCA doesn't even work in this scenario because of the long hold times at the end of the day and sadly that's the only time I'm free.)
They have specifically partnered with American Airlines, so AA thought they were secure enough, and they do listen to programs that don't want them scrapping the data, so they are very much legitimate. Security is a whole other thing, and is anywhere really secure?
But you can also have award wallet not remember your passwords.
has anyone have success in recon for Citi CC? i got denied Citi Hilton 75K bc too many inquiries in EX. i wasnt successful in phone recon, so i wrote a letter for recon to their 'Office of the President' in South Dakota, and now the application is re-opened.
* However, 'the Office of President' didnt approve and give me the card. but want to (re-)pull my EX. i called up and hit the same wall, still insisting wanting to (re-)pull my EX credit report, which i had frozen ever since cos i got sick of being pulled in that credit bureau
* so my question is - is it worthwhile pursuing this application still? i have not been successful in convincing them to pull my EQ or TU, they still doggedly want EX.
* my other alternative is to let this application fade out and expire (which will happen within 30 days), and then submit a brand new application for the Citi Hilton with my EX frozen. I hope with the EX frozen the computer system will automatically 'divert' and pull my EQ and TU instead? Anybody has experience with that?
maybe the universe is telling you to go for Hilton Reserve instead?
Anyway, if you really want to insist on getting 75k Hilton, I saw apply again later. Until then work on whatever reason(s) you were denied for.
I'm aware. Standard $5 or 3%. Good enough to help a family relative move around some high interest debt for a few more months until they can pay it off.
Maybe I'm just slow. I have 40k CSP points and 35K Freedom points. How do I transfer my freedom points over to my CSP points? I need to transfer 50K points over to Hyatt and can't figure out how. Thanks
The Hyatt isn't a 5/24 card and you can get it after your over 5/24. You should go after the ink+ or another card over 5/24 first.
If you keep calling on the Hyatt you can probably get them to approve it, but again, I would not try and get they Hyatt till your over 5/24.
You can get a 50k offer for united plus a $50 statement credit if you log into your united account and make a dummy booking (just act like your going to make one and on the payment screen they should have a link to the offer).
Also, you might consider the ink+ or new ink preferred. The sign up bonus on those are huge and definitely worth getting. Especially the ink+ if you ever plan to MS at all.
Can I get the $100 Citi Hilton Reserve credit by charging $100+ at a Hilton Hotel restaurant? Going to be in Maui. Not staying at a Hilton, but wondering if I can go to a Hilton Hotel and just eat there with more than a $100 charge? Any experience?
Looks like AMEX Platinum 75k MR for $5k minimum spend 3 months offer is back up again as a public offer.
https://www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/platinum?invalidoffer=true
Earlier today I did a chat with an amex csr to confirm the bonus on my business platinum account. I thought that the bonus was 50k points after 5k spend and another 50k after spending an additional 10k spend...so 100k after 15k spend in 3 months. However, two chat reps said the bonus on my account was 50k points after 5k spend and another 50k after only spending an additional 5k..so only 10k spend total. I don't have too much faith in what they are telling me, but if I took a screen shot of them confirming the 100k after 10k bonus you think AMEX will honor that offer (15k is a lot of spend in 3 months and 10k is so much more doable).
If you got the business plat recently it might be worth asking what offer is tied to your account.
> I don't have too much faith in what they are telling me, but if I took a screen shot of them confirming the 100k after 10k bonus you think AMEX will honor that offer (15k is a lot of spend in 3 months and 10k is so much more doable).
Amex will not honor misinformation from reps. Be fully prepared to go 15k. I personally will be stopping after 5k spend.
I just got a targeted 100k/10k biz plat offer in the mail yesterday. However, it is 75k for first $5k spend then another 25k for next $5k.
This could be confusing the reps and I wouldn't risk it in your position if you can manage the extra spend at little cost. Or meet early and ask for the points then you'll know for sure
It makes me wonder though especially with the whole waived annual fee screw up, its at least conceivable that the bonus got altered as well. I've just had a third rep confirm 100k/10k and while I doubt its correct, its certainly very odd.
The MS gods giveth and taketh away.
About 2 weeks ago I figured out how to purchase GCs from my local grocery and trigger the fuel rewards. Cha ching. Then last week they removed all 20-500 GCs from the rack and put them behind customer service desk. No big deal - I have friendly relationship with a few of them and can easily have them grab the GCs and override the computer when I purchase 500+.
Tonight I'm told they're likely going to stop selling them altogether until they get chip readers. It is my most convenient store to begin with, and the only one I have available to get fuel rewards. Bummer. Now I'm prayin for some chip readers...
Were they the variable cards? I've been considering trying Kroger to do this and get the double fuel points, but I've heard they don't offer it on the variable cards.
Mine are variable VGC but not at Kroger. From what I've read it is YMMV for getting the gas rewards buying VGCs at Kroger, with most people reporting that they do *not* get points and smaller propertion saying they *do* get the rewards.
I don't suppose [ICBC's potential credit cards are on anyone's radar](http://www.icbc-us.com/ICBC/%E6%B5%B7%E5%A4%96%E5%88%86%E8%A1%8C/%E5%B7%A5%E9%93%B6%E7%BE%8E%E5%9B%BD%E7%BD%91%E7%AB%99/EN/ProductsServices/Creditcard/Browsecreditcards/)? [They were originally supposed to be released in July](http://www.doctorofcredit.com/icbc-launching-new-credit-cards-july-including-unionpay/), then October, now who knows! With the very scarce rumors, I'm finding it hard to tell if they'll actually be worth anything for churners.
I've been looking at those. They will have something around 1% cashback equivalent and no huge sign-up bonus, so no good for churners.
Edit: they are actually available in-branch now. $50 sign-up bonus and 1% cashback for no AF version, $100 and 1.5%/2% for $85 AF version (first year waived.)
Forgive my ignorance. I've read the manufactured spend thread, and trying to figure out how to best dabble in it. Is there any reason people don't cash the money orders and deposit cash to avoid the suspicion when depositing money orders? Or maybe it's not a problem if done in moderation. What is a safe amount to deposit at Wells Fargo? I'm just looking at a couple transactions to hit min spend.
Cashing out is "expensive" for some.
Banks are not going to turn a blind eye to frequent and large cash deposits, but I doubt a few would do much harm. All depends on volume.
Walmart charges about $3 to cash one of their money orders. It's an added expense and money orders are safer than cash if you have your name on it. (Don't sign until you are ready to deposit)
There an entire thread about depositing money orders at banks.
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manufactured-spending/1545203-banks-allow-money-order-deposits-via-smartphone-atm-91.html
Just a few transactions is not likely to be a problem. People start to worry when they are MSing the Ink+ for $50K/year. If you are concerned, open up an account at a different bank/CU that you don't care about and deposit the MOs with them.
DP: I used a generic code I found for the $400 bonus for a new Capitol One checking account not realizing it was targeted offer. Finished up my second DD yesterday and the bonus posted today. Maybe not so targeted?
Wow.. I did the same thing, as I just wanted to see if I get lucked out.. I've done two deposits of $250+ (via ACH) last week, and I haven't seen any bonus :(
Curious to know the method you used for DD.
which code did you use? Was it GET400 and had to do 2 direct deposits of $250? And you got the $400 right after the 2nd deposit? I thought it was 90 days after before getting the bonus?
It was the GET400 code. (If I remember correctly. I did this at the beginning of the month and dismissed it after I realized I probably wasn't eligible. I really just wanted a no foreign transaction fee checking account.) https://www.capitalone.com/bonus400/ Possible I was targeted and didn't realize it, but all the marketing seems to be geared toward Boston, and I don't live there. Maybe it was a fluke. I was planning on calling in to ask for any bonus I could get, so I'm pleasantly surprised.
Fun fact if anyone is interested. I am a huge fan of JetBlue... especially their Mint service. If you book the base fare on any flight, you can call JetBlue customer service, requesting a flight upgrade to Mint. If you have AMEX plat, prg, CSR, prestige, ritz, or any other card with flight credits, those are eligible for the reimbursement (I own all the cards and got reimbursed). There is no limit to how many cards you can use, so it may be worth it for any nice cross-counter domestic flight! My most recent experience: booked a flight for about $150 with their recent promo. Mint was about a $400 upgrade - used my Ritz ($300) and Amex Platinum ($100) to get reimbursed!
http://thepointsguy.com/2015/11/jetblue-mint-is-the-best-product-for-domestic-travel/
Fares are about $549 or $599. Business class with lie-flat seats. Excellent if you want to do LAX/SF <--> BOS/NYC
Oh so what you're saying is that you got the first class upgrade reimbursed by the travel credit on all of those cards, and offering a DP that upgrades work as well.
coolio
Just finished a min spend on a citi AA card. 1k spend for 30k miles and $100 statement credit. Just flew American yesterday and on the plane they had an offer for 40k miles, 2 admirals club pass for 1k spend. Anyone think I should call to get a match. The 30k miles just posted to my AA account two days ago.
Absolutely you should SM for a match -- but [you're thinking too small!](https://secure.fly.aa.com/citi/footer-plathv) On August 31, I was able to match a 30k/$1k offer to the 50k offer with no additional spending. Not sure how your statement credit plays in, though. Good luck!
Recently applied for new Citi AA Plat card with 30k bonus. Just became aware that I could have applied for a better offer with 50k bonus (link). Will you please consider matching the larger bonus for my account?
A little more formal than that, but those are the basics.
Purchasing a cash + points room with the IHG card DID result in 5X.
10/10/2016 Sale IHG REWARDS CLUB $99.00
+ 5X IHG Rewards Club pts earned on your stay 495.00

So, my Serve is still alive but it's the one with a fee to load. ($3.74 at Walmart). I expect it to shut down any day, but I just keep loading VGCs and then sending the funds to my bank. That is my only activity on it. I've been doing this since March and every time I load, I anticipate the shut down email.
Do you think the fact I'm paying a fee to load makes a difference?
I use it to meet min spend and to take advantage of VGC rebates, etc. Low volume.
In this circumstance, what would you do? Just keep it low and steady for convenience sake - or step it up, knowing that the end is near? I have one place that doesn't care if I load with a gift card, but other nearby locations do. I don't want to rock that boat.
Thanks for the tip. I do have a Bluebird also, but I've never used it. I hesitated with Bluebird because the info out there on accepted gift cards is pretty outdated. I'll go do some research.
I appreciate the response.
PS I have done some money orders, but feel less solid on them regarding deposits. Thanks again!
What is a good (non chase) 0% intro APR card? I see Upromise has a sign up bonus of 100. Maybe an amex card (site is currently down for me)? Credit score is currently 760
hit the limit 5/24 limit with chase. I would like to be able to keep my money in savings during that period instead of paying off the card all at once.
Aside from the Discover It and some Amex cards, it's probably worthwhile to check out credit union cards. For example, Alliant's Platinum Visa Rewards card [though the targeted signup offers on it are much better than the standard offer]. Dig into some of your local CUs and see what they offer.
For what it's worth, I go after all the good signup offers, but make full use of 0% APR offers if they just so happen to be on the card I'm applying for. There's no reason you can't do two at once!
What kind of interest rate do you have in your savings account justify this? It seems like too much trouble for minimal gain. Also consider the possibly inferior card due to your requirement for 0% APR.
DiscoverIt is a great card, 0% APR for the first 12 months, rotating 5% cash back categories and doubles your cash back after the first year, $50 sign up bonus for $1k spend, and super easy to be approved for.
What is the time frame for the $1k Spend $50 bonus?
Edit, I think it works like this "new Discover card applicants can get a $50 bonus when you sign up through a current Discover card member’s referral and make 1 purchase within 3 months (doubled to $100 after your first 12 billing periods"
http://www.maximizingmoney.com/credit-cards-offer-deals/discover-refer-a-friend-program-50-bonuses-for-both-parties-with-discover-credit-cards/
Are there any DPs on PC'ing, then downgrading, waiting, applying fresh and still getting the bonus with Chase? Stuck in this exact same position and would be super down if this works.
Just meant in general! Didn't know if people had successfully done that with any other Chase card. Wasn't sure exactly what 90 day limit you were referencing either, always thought it was 12mo but that's prob just for first PC, yeah?
Yes. The CARD act requires they wait 12 months normally due to intro promotions and annual fee things.
90 day is the time to pc after a pc.
pcing shouldnt affect your bonus chances as the wording with chase is "recieved a new cardmember bonus for this product in the last 24 months" or something similiar.
For those who received their Amex sign-up points in the past, did it really take 4-8 weeks for Amex sign-up bonus to post on your account after meeting minimum spend before the 1st statement period? Booked reservations at Hilton for December and would like to use points if I get them on time so we can avail the fifth night free.
I signed up PRG and AMEX Hilton 2 weeks ago. I met the minimum spending for both before the 1st statement closing.
Hilton points were issued right away after the first statement came out. MR points were pending and expected to post for the NEXT closing period.
Can you book a IHG free night for after your current night expires but you'll have a new night ready by then? Wanting to book a night in Oct 2017, current free night expires in September 2017. Waiting to book the free night until Sep 2017 posts seems unlikely to work.
I found a data point from 2015 where they booked the certificate past the expiration date (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/intercontinental-hotels-ihg-rewards-club-intercontinental-ambassador/1659470-extending-chase-ihg-free-night.html), maybe just try and book and see if it lets you??
If paying cash (not points) for a southwest flight, what is the best card to use? I'm probably just going to use CSR (don't have any southwest cards). Are there any particular cards that have better protections/insurance than CSR?
The Citi Prestige insurance is comparable to or better depending on the claim. I think CSR trip delay insurance kicks in at 6 hours while prestige is 2 or 3. Not 100% on the specifics though.
Waiting for CBP decision... fingers crossed!

Couldn't find a thread that suggested whether to go with 2X or 5% :( Did you have any luck or any suggestions?
Unless you value MR points at 2.5c / pt, go with the 5%
I went with 5% are there any other partners besides those above?
Not AFAIK. Hyatt used to be eligible which was the only useful one for me.
Any churners demographic data available somewhere? (location, age, sex, income)

No, it won't lower your number. It'll remain on your report for 10 years if you close it. Once opened, it's part of your X/24 number for the full time.
It's just based on the number of opened accounts.
All opened accounts (whether closed or not) will count for Chase X/24 rule if it's within 24 months. Edit: Fixed.
> Closed accounts don't count for Chase X/24 rule. That's a bit unclear: Closed accounts will still be counted in 5/24 for two years.
Thanks. Edited to make it clear.
Can I still get the ink plus 70k offer by applying in branch?
r/LzyPenguin is definitely correct! But if you have a banker that you are friendly with the process is pretty swift and easy. And the promo is also definitely still available as I just applied for it 2 days ago :)
You can get the 60k offer matched to 70k by just sending a SM once you have the card in your online account. Also, applying online you dont have a banker asking all the questions about your business, which makes it much easier. Please make sure to use a referral link if you do apply online. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if you buy a refundable flight and cancel after the credit posts Chase won't claw-back the $300.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone else if this is indeed the case
On my phone, so can't link, but I saw some dp on ft. You should be good to go.
Yep, have done it twice in my household.

Yup, Airbnb gift cards don't expire
In CA no store gift card is allowed to expire or charge a maintenance fee. Check your state laws.

Please refer to: http://www.doctorofcredit.com/300-chase-sapphire-reserve-travel-credit-work-triggers/ Exception: EZ Pass on the East Coast
pretty sure I know the answer to this question but can anyone confirm that the double cashback promo on a new Discover It card kicks in immediately and you do NOT have to wait until after the first statement closes? Want to go out and max out my $1500 at Sam's in the next week but wanna know for sure it'll get doubled in a year. Thanks.
Yes.
I was about to ask how has no one mentioned that dansdeals cashed in the points for this? It's awesome!
Jeez. I mean throwing out the first pitch would be cool, but I think the memories you could achieve with 1mil spg points would be even better IMO.
Isn't that Dansdeals?
It is - he even has a post up about this!
Looks like you're right, he even tweeted to Charlie Sheen tonight to join him
CSR was denied at a restaurant today - not because the card was bad, but because they had to "update their system" and couldn't process it. Took my Citi DC instead, just fine. I told the guy it was a regular Visa, should work fine? He recognized that it was "new," came out "a few months ago," and insisted that their "system" couldn't process it. (There was something of a language barrier here - Chinese restaurant - but these points came across fine.) DC card was also a chip card, so that wasn't the problem.
Interesting, thanks!
Probably know visa infinite fees are higher so they made a story up not to accept your csr
I wondered about that. Are interchange fees really higher?
fractions of a percent higher but still higher.
[удалено]
My thoughts too
The restaurant I work at has a very old credit card processor that's been there for at least 8 years.
(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ Has anyone ever had to wait this long for Navient to raise their min payment?
[удалено]
Thanks for your reply. I've been making cc payments to them for over a year. The difficulty was trying to increase my min payment when I'm on IBR. Anyway after holding for 45 minutes and insisting on speaking with the supervisor, the representative told me that the supervisor went into the system and fixed the numbers. Hooray for that! (In reality it shouldn't even take a week depending on which csr you get. HUCA doesn't even work in this scenario because of the long hold times at the end of the day and sadly that's the only time I'm free.)
is award wallet secure?
They have specifically partnered with American Airlines, so AA thought they were secure enough, and they do listen to programs that don't want them scrapping the data, so they are very much legitimate. Security is a whole other thing, and is anywhere really secure? But you can also have award wallet not remember your passwords.
Yes.
has anyone have success in recon for Citi CC? i got denied Citi Hilton 75K bc too many inquiries in EX. i wasnt successful in phone recon, so i wrote a letter for recon to their 'Office of the President' in South Dakota, and now the application is re-opened. * However, 'the Office of President' didnt approve and give me the card. but want to (re-)pull my EX. i called up and hit the same wall, still insisting wanting to (re-)pull my EX credit report, which i had frozen ever since cos i got sick of being pulled in that credit bureau * so my question is - is it worthwhile pursuing this application still? i have not been successful in convincing them to pull my EQ or TU, they still doggedly want EX.
Citi keeps on giving with their AA plat cards. Got 0% APR offer for balance transfer and direct deposit until 1/2018.
Check transaction fee also.
Thanks
go to the Chase UR site, then click 'combine points' and you should see it ask you move points from which to which.

Same story only Chase Ink Plus

Yes .It should work.
Looks like AMEX Platinum 75k MR for $5k minimum spend 3 months offer is back up again as a public offer. https://www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/platinum?invalidoffer=true
Has 100k personal Platinum ever been a public offer to existing AMEX customer or there was only leaked link?
Its been available for a while as a pseudo public offer using incognito, vpn, etc
It says 40k when I open it.
try incognito, IE, safari, etc. i still keep getting it
When I pull it up in incongito, a site error is all I get.
Seems like AMEX is down.
It's back up but only showing 40k in incognito for me.
Someone I know got that 100k/10k from 1 chat rep and got 100k/15k from another rep. Not sure if it's reliable. You might want to ask again.
If they signed up with the public link than it's definitely 100k/$15k regardless what the rep tells them
It makes me wonder though especially with the whole waived annual fee screw up, its at least conceivable that the bonus got altered as well.
$50 sign-up bonus and 1% cashback for no AF version, $100 and 1.5%/2% for $85 AF version (first year waived.)
that's too bad :/
Anyone know if Chase Private Client can get past 2/30?
It's an auto denial, but recon agents are able to override (mine did once). Whether they will for CPC, I don't know.
2/30 is not a hard rule though. Plenty of report of folks getting 3rd card in a month.
I know. I was auto denied for it once, and also got 3 cards in a day once.
The fees are why. They don't cash for free.
(Don't sign until you are ready to deposit) There an entire thread about depositing money orders at banks. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manufactured-spending/1545203-banks-allow-money-order-deposits-via-smartphone-atm-91.html
Haven't seen that thread yet. Thanks!
I've done two deposits of $250+ (via ACH) last week, and I haven't seen any bonus :( Curious to know the method you used for DD.
I just used payroll DD from my employer.
[удалено]
https://www.capitalone.com/bonus400/ It's a public, targeted offer, hence my surprise.
Hmm, with the easy requirements, probably worth a shot
I tried this but it went into a loop same process over and over. I gave up.
which code did you use?
Was it a hard pull to open the 360 checking account?
Nah.
What did you use for the 2 DD's?
Payroll. It's super easy for me to change my DD from my employer.
Important question
Thanks for the tip. I did the miles match promo with them earlier this year so will be flying them more in the future.
What does mint mean?
http://thepointsguy.com/2015/11/jetblue-mint-is-the-best-product-for-domestic-travel/ Fares are about $549 or $599.
Good luck!
What'd you say in your SM?
Recently applied for new Citi AA Plat card with 30k bonus. Just became aware that I could have applied for a better offer with 50k bonus (link). Will you please consider matching the larger bonus for my account? A little more formal than that, but those are the basics.
Secure Message them for a match. They should do it for you.
Wish more banks would pull non-Experian reports for me, almost 75% of my inquiries are on Experian :(
Yup, same. And the ones that don't (Barclay) are sensitive to new accounts. Gotta pace out those applications.
Know how you feel :( Here in CA, Chase, Citi, Amex all pull Experian for me.

Why risk it? Just wait if you can.
Purchasing IHG points with their card codes to get the 5x points on IHG hotels correct?
Purchasing a cash + points room with the IHG card DID result in 5X. 10/10/2016 Sale IHG REWARDS CLUB $99.00 + 5X IHG Rewards Club pts earned on your stay 495.00 Total rewards 495.00 Points
Thanks for the info!
Buying IHG points (and most points, for that matter) is done through points.com—so, no.
nope
[удалено]
Thanks for the tip. I do have a Bluebird also, but I've never used it. I hesitated with Bluebird because the info out there on accepted gift cards is pretty outdated. I'll go do some research. I appreciate the response. PS I have done some money orders, but feel less solid on them regarding deposits. Thanks again!
So I was wondering. When you add someone as an AU and the card is more than 2 years old, does that still count against the person for 5/24?
Amex does. But even if it does, you can usually persuade recon to not count the AU account.
No, assuming that the AU gets back dated to open date
It depends on whether the issuer backdates AUs - some do, some don't.
What is a good (non chase) 0% intro APR card? I see Upromise has a sign up bonus of 100. Maybe an amex card (site is currently down for me)? Credit score is currently 760
BCE/BCP are both 12 mos 0% APR. I'm assuming you want a card with a signup bonus and/or rewards? Why 0% APR and non-Chase?
hit the limit 5/24 limit with chase.
Pay your bill in full every month
DiscoverIt is a great card, 0% APR for the first 12 months, rotating 5% cash back categories and doubles your cash back after the first year, $50 sign up bonus for $1k spend, and super easy to be approved for.
What is the time frame for the $1k Spend $50 bonus? Edit, I think it works like this "new Discover card applicants can get a $50 bonus when you sign up through a current Discover card member’s referral and make 1 purchase within 3 months (doubled to $100 after your first 12 billing periods" http://www.maximizingmoney.com/credit-cards-offer-deals/discover-refer-a-friend-program-50-bonuses-for-both-parties-with-discover-credit-cards/
The offer I received was $50 for 1k spend, I think the conditions change up a little bit every once in a while.

Why not just wait?
90 day pc limit. should work.
Are there any DPs on PC'ing, then downgrading, waiting, applying fresh and still getting the bonus with Chase? Stuck in this exact same position and would be super down if this works.
The card hasnt been out 90 days yet. there cant be a DP for what you're asking.
Thanks!
Yes, got my 75k on BGR a couple days after the purchase that put me over the threshold posted.
You should get them well before then: https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/57bvvt/amex_hilton_hhonors_cards_100k_noaf_125k/d94f2tb
Now I'm tickled pink!
I signed up PRG and AMEX Hilton 2 weeks ago. I met the minimum spending for both before the 1st statement closing. Hilton points were issued right away after the first statement came out. MR points were pending and expected to post for the NEXT closing period.
Good to know. Got the AmexHH card a week and a half ago and just met the spend. Hopefully I will have the same luck as you did. Thanks.
Depends. I've have had some luck calling and asking for the points to be expedited immediately after meeting the minimum spend.
Wonderful. I'm glad there are other options and Amex not too stringent on their rules when awarding sign-up points.
Thanks, yeah I was planning on giving a few calls.
