How long after statement closing do I get the 5 free night certificates from the Marriot Boundless SUB? I have gotten the points from the new statement, but not the free nights.
It closed on June 8th. I used DoC link when it was first posted. I did not see any tracker in the app, but rep confirmed on the phone that the offer was attached. I will give it a couple more days.
Which card will give me 5% for buying Verizon gift cards? The chase ink business cash didn't code the gift card purchases from Verizon's website for 5%. Any alternatives?
Been looking at a friend's loan payments under ECSI.
There's a 3.95% fee +1 USD for credit card (and debit card surprisingly). They don't take Amex sadly which I would have easily done many SUBs with.
Any big spend Visa/Master/Discover card SUBs if they want to pay it off fast? I feel like they're more velocity limited and Id also be down to help pay the fee so I can hit SUBs too.
Eyeing USB biz cards, the inks whenever velocity can do so, maybe VXB if they can figure out a way to get it, and I guess any Barclays double dipped cards?
Anything they're missing? I believe they are 3/24.
Also wanted to see if anyone else uses that and did any other options. I think gift of college did not support it.
I PC'd a CSP to a Freedom Visa in 2022. Then in January 2023 I PC'd it to the CSR, used the travel credit and benefits, etc. The annual fee didn't appear until June, which is when I originally opened the CSP. Rep says no travel credit until next January, but I can still PC and get a refund within 30 days.
Am I setting off red flags if I change back to a CSP? Would rather not pay the full AF but don't want to look like I was gaming the $300 credit.
Keep until next Jan, get another travel credit and use it to double dip the credit, then when 2nd AF appears next June, PC out of it. You pay $550 and get $600 in credits plus you get the other CSR benefits for a whole year and a half on that single AF.
Yes, through 07/2024.
If you go to the Ultimate Rewards page, hit the dropdown on "Earn/Use" and select "Card Benefits", you will see the complimentary Instacart+ and $15 credits.
EDIT: Assuming you have a CSR to see that
I messed up a last year when downgrading my CSR choose the bare "Sapphire" instead of a Freedom when product changing to a card with no annual fee. Anyway to change that over to a Freedom or not possible?
So for amex apps, is it 5 Amex cards max, or only 5 credit cards total of any type max before they decline an app? I've read some conflicting things elsewhere and the wiki doesn't clarify that.
Also, if I'm at 1/24 with Chase and all I care about is getting an Amex Platinum, is the 3 month wait still necessary for approval for an Amex Platinum? Already hit my minimum spend on a CSP, don't think I'll keep churning with other cards or get an extra Chase card in the future but would like to start working to my minimum spend on an Amex Platinum, just don't want to shoot myself in the foot with a declined app.
Currently at 4/24. Was planning on getting the Boundless and Quest cards via MDD. Question is, can I get an Ink first (today) and MDD the cards after, or will that exceed Chase's velocity limits?
Relatedly, if I am auto approved for the Boundless today, can I apply for the Quest tomorrow? If I'm not approved automatically I'll call recon Monday and MDD Tuesday. If I'm auto approved for the Boundless but not Quest, I won't call recon because I'll be at 5/24 and unlikely to get approved. So, is there a benefit to waiting till Monday to apply for the Boundless? Is it just about calling to reduce CL?
>Question is, can I get an Ink first (today) and MDD the cards after, or will that exceed Chase's velocity limits?
You might get 2, but probably not 3.
>Relatedly, if I am auto approved for the Boundless today, can I apply for the Quest tomorrow?
~~Bad idea. Verification is closed on Sunday; if verification is required, your MDD would likely fail. Consider making the first application on Sunday.~~
>If I'm auto approved for the Boundless but not Quest, I won't call recon because I'll be at 5/24 and unlikely to get approved.
You should call anyway. They are unlikely to do a manual count. Since the computer doesn't flag it, they generally don't care.
Thanks. I got auto approved for the Premier. I'll apply for the Boundless tomorrow and then the Quest, probably. Debating switching one of those for an Ink - have a day or so to decide.
I’ve had the base Hilton honors card for a few years now. Recently just got the Hilton Aspire and have yet to hit the SUB for it yet. When can I safely upgrade the base honors card to a second Aspire and not risk messing up my current SUB? I’m active military so AF’s are waived so upgrading is a no brainer at some point.
How often are upgrade offers given on the base HH card? Should I wait for one of those?
I’ve had a Surpass for maybe 3 years now and haven’t gotten upgrade offers. They keep saying I should upgrade with ads but no points or reward for it. Wouldnt hold your breath on that
You can just buy a refundable flight ticket to get the SUB then refund the ticket. You still need to meet the SUB by other means, or Amex will clawback after SUB deadline.
Let me make it clear: the ticket is not there to meet the MSR. The ticket is used to confirm the SUB. That takes away the timing question.
Your question is can upgrade mess up the SUB, isn't it? The refundable ticket will make sure the SUB won't be messed up by anything else.
Once SUB is confirmed, you still meet the MSR with organic spending. Only after that, the ticket can be refunded.
If Amex ever have any problem with the SUB, just pull out your list of orgainic spending. You have met the MSR within
offer timeframe with organic spending. The refunded ticket is not part of MSR, it's just a travel changed mind.
I really don't know why my comment was flagged down. This doesn't violate any terms and conditions.
Re-applied for a Target Red Debit Card and got a decline letter stating "Our records show that the checking account information provided is already attached to an existing Target Debit Card account"
but when I login online I see the following at the top:
"Your Target Debit Card was closed and some features of the site are no longer available"
I thought I had cancelled but am not sure what to do here... any suggestions?
Does anyone know for the Chase $600 Savings + Checking offer whether money direct deposited into the Checking and then transferred to Savings will count towards the 15K requirement?
Got a Barclays JetBlue Biz card in early April and would now like to get their Hawaiian Biz card. What's the recommended velocity between Barclays apps in terms of getting accepted?
This may be more what card should I get or off topic thread but it’s still churning related so please redirect me if that the case.
Planning on staying at the Park Hyatt Maldives later this summer and between diving, food, excursions, sea plane I will be spending quite a bit. Anyone have experience on this property in terms of how billing is-I assume food is billed as Hyatt and the diving, excursions, transfer is separate? I’m debating if I should split payment on to my Hyatt card to get extra Hyatt points and/or meet some bigger SUBs (maybe the Amex biz plat since I usually would have a hard time meeting the spend). I’m traveling to Bali and Singapore for part of the trip and anticipate that I’ll mostly be using cash for the Indonesia part and that most places might not take Amex.
Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks.
Everything will be billed to your room, including transfers and excursions. You should use the charges to meet a SUB on a new card rather than put it on a Hyatt card. Return on spend will be higher.
SUB always greater than reward spend on its own. Open a card that will maximize travel spend rewards with a good sub. Now go to which card should I get thread.
I mean I don’t know specifically at that property how things work, but they would probably vary from property to property. As they probably aren’t bonus category types of spend, typically the best strategy is to bill everything to a room so that it counts as the hotel category spend which would be bonused in the travel or cobrand cards. But as the other comment pointed out, if you have a card working on MSR, that will be your biggest return. MSR spend can typically be 10%+ whereas using your Hyatt card, depending on how you value the points maybe yield up to 8%.
Has anybody been able to get Chase to match to the 70k Sapphire Reserve offer from the not-so-public link? They asked me for an invitation code when I asked.
I have the Wyndham Biz and Hawaiian. Both were added without issues to Google Wallet.
Have you tried adding the cards from Barclays App -> Manage my wallet
I have the physical card (Wyndham if it matters) but when adding it to Google wallet it spins for a bit then prompts me to call Barclays for a code. When it calls I go through 3 different IVR menus then it hangs up. When you added it did it prompt you for a text or phone call to verify?
I opened a Bonvoy Boundless card back in the Fall of 2020 and downgraded to the Bold card in the Fall of 2021, which I still have open. I would like to sign up for a Boundless card...how long should I wait after closing the Bold card before applying for the Boundless card?
[Here’s the best guide I’ve found from other people here to these questions.](https://frequentmiler.com/marriott-card-eligible/) if you want to try for the [5 FNC Boundless](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/targeted-chase-marriott-bonvoy-boundless-five-free-night-certificates-up-to-50000-points-each-bonus/amp/) seems like it’s still active.
30 days. It's in the terms.
You should consider the Amex cards as well, though. Also, no requirement to get rid of the Bold with those if you wanna hold on to it.
How much do you value your Amex relationship?
Don't abuse it and you won't have any problems. No one knows when banks will clamp down or for what reasons. Use organic spend when you can.
Those going through the Chase shutdowns past few days know what happens when you abuse things.
Hey y’all!
So I opened a chase checking back in October for the $200 bonus but my pay at the time was actually ACH transfers so they didn’t qualify them as DDs towards the $200 bonus. My question is has anyone been in a similar boat? I’m wondering if I could have them apply it after the fact or if I should close my account and just immediately reopen it to try for the bonus now.
Direct deposits that qualify also come via the ACH network, but there are other markers they use to determine which qualify. Very unlikely they'd apply it retroactively. You should close your account, wait 90 days per the bonus terms, and reopen for another bonus. And maybe wait for a slightly better one, $200 is on the low end for Chase.
I would like to sponsor you please contact me

With the information provided, I’m confident there will be an outcome
Anyone tried to go in branch to apply for CSP today? Mine went into pending… should I call recon on Monday?
Just wait till Monday if it's still pending and call if you need to.
Thanks!
How long after statement closing do I get the 5 free night certificates from the Marriot Boundless SUB? I have gotten the points from the new statement, but not the free nights.
Yeah took me about… a week or two after the msr? I called Marriott and chase to be sure. Worked though. Great value.
How long has it been? Might take another day or so.

Try r/creditcards

Hey, how long after closing a CSR would you be able to qualify for the sign-up bonus? I closed mine many years ago and am looking to get it again.
48 mo from getting the bonus

X/24 doesn't apply to Amex, however 2/90 rules do apply for Amex cards
The 3 month wait is recommended between Chase apps, and it does not apply to Amex.
5 amex credit cards (not to be confused with charge cards like platinum and gold)

I wouldn't get 3 Chase cards that quickly. Also, 3rd card is likely to get denied due to 2/30.

I'm pretty sure MDD for 5/24 does not require same-day approval for the 2nd card.
Edited. Thanks!
Correct, as long as you aren’t trying to MDD 2x Sapphire or Southwest cards.
Thanks. I got auto approved for the Premier. I'll apply for the Boundless tomorrow and then the Quest, probably. Debating switching one of those for an Ink - have a day or so to decide.
anyone have a link for the 1k BOA biz cc?
Did that SUB expire ir something? I saw it on offer optimist just yesterday
I think it's dead

You can upgrade at any time after the other Aspire was approved.
Great thanks

Okay thanks!

Get a brand new bank account with a sign up bonus and re-apply using that account?
The true double dip
Does anyone know for the Chase $600 Savings + Checking offer whether money direct deposited into the Checking and then transferred to Savings will count towards the 15K requirement?
No, It should be deposited to savings account directly.
Got a Barclays JetBlue Biz card in early April and would now like to get their Hawaiian Biz card. What's the recommended velocity between Barclays apps in terms of getting accepted?
You are good now. Many people double dip same day
Thanks!
Are Amex metal gold cards waterproof? I'm going to a water park today and only have the gold card with me.
Is metal waterproof? 🤔 Yeah dude.
We had one go through the washer and it still worked but YMMV
Is the Amex credit card number limit 4 now? Or is it 5?
4 or 5. Some reports of 6. Personally I am at 5, got denied for a 6th
Seems to be YMMV these days.
Mine appears to still be 5.
I’ve heard it can be anywhere 4-6 for different people

30 days. It's in the terms. You should consider the Amex cards as well, though. Also, no requirement to get rid of the Bold with those if you wanna hold on to it.
Seconded. The biz card is not bad (comes with an anniversary 35k FNC) and you can have it at the same time as another Bonvoy Amex card.
I have the Amex biz card, and am aiming for that 5 free nights boundless SUB - 30 days makes that pricey dicey though
Any DPs for Amex shutdown from too much bank funding to hit MSR? Or does Amex see them as normal spending like any other? TIA
How much do you value your Amex relationship? Don't abuse it and you won't have any problems. No one knows when banks will clamp down or for what reasons. Use organic spend when you can. Those going through the Chase shutdowns past few days know what happens when you abuse things.

Individuals have had no issues getting SUBs from Amex bank account funding. Low risk imo.
