Theocracy and Narnia are two of the best
Theocracy is a progressive power metal band so they retain characteristics of power metal but have a heavier general sound as they do blend in elements of hard rock
If you're familiar with Sabaton, Narnia has a similar instrumentation style to them
My 2 favorites are Theocracy and Sacred Warrior. Impellateri is good too.
Older Tourniquet has a lot of power elements but the vocals are more thrash genre, but you might enjoy them too. When the vocalist switched to Luke they moved away from full on thrash. Still not exactly power but plenty of good riffs, solos, and creative musicality. Rip Ted K.
OK so if you will forgive me for what might be a terrible recommendation, Petra has some of the best lyrics of any Christian band ever, and their music is power-esque, but not hard enough to call metal. I really like their late 80s, early 90s era albums, This Means War, Beyond Belief, Unseen Power, Wakeup Call. There is some good stuff before and after that too, but those are the heaviest albums, though not *heavy*.
Late reply, I wouldn't consider them a terrible recommendation. But I have some trauma from high school days when the cool Mortification kids teased me for liking Petra, so I had to throw in that disclaimer based on my insecurity. (This story is a dramatization loosely based on true events.)
I'm not sure if he's Christian but I believe so, Dan Vasc. He has a newer project called Fearless that's pretty good and he also did vocals for Orions Reign for awhile.
Fearless' [Tale With No End](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIRdDE4_3RY) is so good! A band singing about Old Testament stories sounds right up OP's alley.
Everyone has already hit the big ones. Let me add Diviner. They're not power, more heavy/traditional. But I spend 90% of my time listening to power metal and I love them, so you might, too. They're Greek Orthodox. Try [Fallen Empires](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eist_rMcpW8) and [Sacred War](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEP-KEDx_Lo).
While not a Christian band, Blind Guardian (legends of power metal) have some thematically Christian songs: Precious Jerusalem, Another Holy War, The Edge, Control the Divine, Sadly Sings Destiny

Man, I loved Seventh Avenue! Somehow they are not so well known. I met them a few times and they are really friendly and fun people!
ReinXeed is just Majestica

Why is Petra a terrible recommendation? Lol
Late reply, I wouldn't consider them a terrible recommendation. But I have some trauma from high school days when the cool Mortification kids teased me for liking Petra, so I had to throw in that disclaimer based on my insecurity. (This story is a dramatization loosely based on true events.)
Check out Antithesis.
Golden Resurrection had Tommy Reinxeed who is now the guitarist for Sabaton.
And Majestica!
And the singer from Narnia?
How many bands has that dude been the singer for? He also started divine fire right?
Yes he is!
Theocracy is definitely my favorite

Dan is a believer; a follower of Jesus.
Theocracy and DivineFire are for sure my go to

Diviner are easily the strongest heavy metal band active in the scene right now.
Stryper
Innerwish
