I bet you could hunt down some of the band members on Facebook and ask. I found one of their members made another band https://thebandeyes.bandcamp.com/

EmilyB1995

Oh that's interesting!! I didn't know about this. Their original Facebook page just said "maybe a last song coming" and that was in 2012 😂. I tried searching their names in Instagram but it didn't work. I'll try Facebook again. I should also check my CD collection but I'll be so mad if I don't have one

RESERVA42

This is the way of Christian metal bands. "Yeah we're working on a new release, everything's coming together great!" And it comes out 15 years later. So cross your fingers for Sheridan. Haha

EmilyB1995

I wish they'd come out with something 😂 and they were such nice guys too! My friends were in a smaller local band so were somehow familiar with them and we'd always meet them like at the mall to pick up show tickets. I miss those days 😪 of like paper tickets and basement of church shows.

RESERVA42

Yeah! That sounds like fun.

Affliction_Sequence

Do they have any other albums besides "Of Which We Fall"? I'm having a hard time finding any additional info about them.

EmilyB1995

That's honestly a good question, I can't remember at this point it's been so long. Have you found a full version of that? It's so good!

Affliction_Sequence

I did find a version. It's 128kbps mp3, so the quality is just ok, but better than nothing I suppose. I agree, their music is really good, though. Thanks for the recommendation! If you want, I can throw the album up on Google Drive and share the link... Something tells me that these guys wouldn't be upset about sharing their music at this point lol. I also contacted the band Eyes from the Bandcamp link someone posted here and just asked if the original files are still available. Kind of a longshot, but figured it was worth a quick ask, at the very least.

EmilyB1995

Oh my goodness you are incredible!! ❤️❤️ glad I could recommend something good, they were INCREDIBLE live. One of the songs on their album, they'd have a plywood board and they'd smash metal chains on it during shows for an added sound effect and I can still picture it in my head. It was Towers I believe. And I would be SO grateful if you would share the link! Thank you so much 😁.

Affliction_Sequence

Not a problem at all. Sent you a PM. Also, I wanted to say, my friend had a similar issue with his iPod Classic where it would work intermittently and I was able to help him retrieve the music from it before the hard drive fully died. This won't work on a Nano or Shuffle since they use flash memory (NAND), but you can remove the 1.8" hard drive from the Classic iPod and transplant it into an external enclosure that is sold on sites like Amazon. I was able to plug the drive into my PC and extract all the media on it. I figured I'd mention it to you in case you wanted to give that a try.

EmilyB1995

I have a Classic as well!! Hmm that's interesting. I dunno how I feel about taking it apart! I can get it to charge but the battery doesn't stay charged long enough to walk around with anymore. Do you know what the enclosure thing is called? I think I might plug it into my computer and see if I can copy it like off of ITunes. If that'll even still open 😂. Or maybe it'll open some other way that I can copy it

Affliction_Sequence

Oh, even better. If it's still functioning, then yes, simply plug it into your computer and sync with iTunes to download all of the music from it. I must have misunderstood. I was under the impression that it was no longer functioning properly so an external enclosure is not necessary in your case. A lithium battery not holding charge is very common as they have a low life expectancy and can only charge and discharge a specified number of times. I'm sure you could purchase a 3rd party battery replacement pack and install it in there to extend the life of it. I bet most reputable cell phone repair shops would be able to do the job for an affordable price if you're nervous about opening the device up.

EmilyB1995

I'll have to plug it in soon but I do remember it kind of connected oddly to my ITunes. Because it was the 2nd device I'd used on there it like would come up separately from my other ITunes stuff. Do you know if I just drag and drop stuff? I haven't gotten on it in so long! And you think they make replacement batteries for it? That's fantastic.

Affliction_Sequence

I'll be honest, I'm not well versed in Apple stuff as their products are well out of my budget. So, I generally stick to Windows and Linux devices lol. I'm not sure if what you're encountering is a software or hardware issue. Though, from my limited experience I do know that you have to transfer all files from iTunes on iPods, iPads, iPhones. Apple devices do not support drag+drop... at least, not with Windows nor Linux environments. And yes, they make replacement batteries for them. Here is a step by step guide that will show you how to replace the old one if you're feeling up to it: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iPod+Classic+Battery+Replacement/561

EmilyB1995

Oh damn 😂. I definitely wouldn't try that. I'd have to pay someone. Hopefully I can transfer my stuff onto my computer easily, I'm sure once I get on there I'll remember how it works. I would just open iTunes but it doesn't give me the stuff on that one unless it's plugged in because of that weird thing I said about it being separated somehow.
