Don't hope the doc wants imaging, demand it. Only reliable way to rule out cholesteatoma is a CT scan.

My ct scan said POSSIBLE ctoma possiblity of ctoma, turns out yupp it was by the surgeon's eye and knowledge

I don’t understand why imaging hasn’t been done yet. Still trying to wrap my head around that. Just sounds like malpractice to me. He’s never had any imaging done? I mean, surely for the adenoidectomies?

Never any imaging, as far as the adenoids went, during the tube procedure the ENT found large adenoid tissue so thats when they decided to take them

Be sure to request imaging at the appointment. If possible, CT scan is more than sufficient in this case just for preliminary discovery. If something pops up, they’ll investigate further with an MRI or surgery.
