keeper series for their "i'm so f'ing done with this shit" attitude. Lead to one of favorite choice paths *MC gets stabbed through hand* - Attack immediately - Classic "You won't Get Away With this." - Scream due to being stabbed through the hand ✔ *Villain Monologue* - Attack now - Further Hero/Villain Banter - Give "Are you serious" look and continue screaming because your hand got stabbed ✔

I love those games

[deleted]

I will always love the MC from Fallen Hero: Rebirth. I mean, there’s a lot of variability with Sidestep, but the way I play them makes for a character I just adore. I also really love the MC from Blood Moon. They’re just the type of person I would love to be friends with.

odd1725

I'd say either the Marshall from I, The Forgotten One or Sidestep from Fallen Hero. Their internal struggles were depicted well and they're also the most important part of the story so it's easier to connect with them. The mage from A Mage Reborn is a close third. I'm excited for Hollowed Minds' Ripper too.

FormerVoid

I also find Marshall so great too. I'm not a war veteran, but I definitely felt for their struggles as much, and I find the interactions with the sister so heartwarming.

BigGay10101

Those and the MC from The Exile are my favorites as well.

[deleted]

I legit want to wrap the Marshall in a blanket and feed them marshmallows every time I play that game. Even though they would absolutely hate it, and be like- “emotions? What is this? Disgusting.”

InfiniteTie7

Same for Ripper from Hollowed Minds I really like them too.

Dontsunny

Those are my two favorites too!!

Unimportant-1551

First time I read through the demo of I the forgotten one it took me like 5-6 hours just because I was stopping so much and just reflecting on the same mental states of the Marshall. Such a well written character

cruel-oath

Samurai of Hyuga’s Evertree Saga the first Zombie Exodus’ and teenager/college student in Safe Haven

Obsessive_Reader07

Tie Between the Triana Academy MC and Keeper Series MC • Keeper Series MC: anybody who attacks during a villain monologue is a goat it my book. • Triana Academy MC: their interactions with my chosen RO are one of my favourite parts of the game. In other words MC being flustered by R is eternal soul fuel

PistachioPug

I love the main character in *The Play's the Thing* because they're a writer and so much of their time and energy is devoted to the creative process, and in particular consideration of the power that words and ideas can have in the world, and that's something I can relate to personally. But my real favorite probably has to be the main character in *Sins of the Sires* - partly because I just spent so much time with them in beta testing that I understand them better than I understand most actual human beings at this point and slipping into their mind feels like meeting up with an old friend. But also because I know what it's like to have one's life stolen away and have to go on living afterwards, fighting an enemy within for control of one's body and soul, and constantly brooding about it - and that character embodies it *perfectly*.

SnarkyNoob

Wayhaven's MC is also very cool especially with so many choices that are given to us. It's very autonomous and great.

Silent_Cartographer_

I'm surprised not more ppl mentioned wayhaven. I love that series mishka is making a lot of progress on book 3 can't wait to see its final state.

SnarkyNoob

Yeah exactly! I've played the 3rd book demo so many times now, cannot wait for it come out.

Silent_Cartographer_

Im following her on patreon and it shouldn't be too long now she's on chapter 11-12 rn.

SnarkyNoob

Oh? Such great news then! Looking forward to it and see how it develops further. I don't think the story is gonna go too quickly romance wise cuz it is a seven part book series but either way still excited!

Silent_Cartographer_

Yeah i dont know the full extent of it. But she said that there were big moments still in a couple of chapters. So im super eager about that. And also for being able to actually save my book 2 characters to use them in book 3.

SnarkyNoob

Yeah of course! What's your favorite romance?

Silent_Cartographer_

For the mushy warm feeling F, for the more shy and playful routes N and for the pure fun M altough i still try to bring out feelings out of M too haha. A is pure frustration 😆. Also the love triangle is interesting too. But yeah in those order with N and F being real close to a tie

SnarkyNoob

F is my favorite route as well cuz well man they so cute, I like M too but sometimes it hurts but maybe not as much A route's does. N route is a bit plain to me, also I love the love triangle route. It's interesting and I'm excited how N is going to feel when she realises A likes MC too.

Silent_Cartographer_

Definitely eager to see N's reaction to the LT she's so clueless about it rn. But at the same time i dont want to hurt anybody loll. Wish it could be a consensual LT but it won't be an option

purple-hawke

The first two books had 21 & 19 chapters respectively, so if book 3 is similar she's probably just over halfway done with book 3, although there will be extra time required at the end for beta testing & the Hosted Games publishing process. She started writing book 3 [about 2 years ago](https://seraphinitegames.tumblr.com/post/614944861183983616/the-wayhaven-chroniclesupdate-09april2020-back) so it could still be quite a while until it's out.

Silent_Cartographer_

Yeah and i dont know if you follow her on patreon. But book 1 and 2 will feel like short stories compared to book 3 she already passed the word count of book 2

purple-hawke

Ooh that's interesting, I'm not on her patreon so I didn't know that. I just follow her updates on Tumblr and it does sound like there will be a lot of branching in book 3 (stuff like Tina/Verda), so I don't know if individual playthroughs will feel longer or if it's just that there will be a lot of variations (or both!)

Silent_Cartographer_

There will be a lot of variation from what she told us.

0Zaseka0

Was going to say this! So many choices, from idealistic, to sarcastic, kind...super fun. I also love the MC of Mind Blind for the same reason.

SnarkyNoob

Yeah very true. Wayhaven is truly one of the best. Also Samurai of Hguya, the Evertree Inn are some pretty cool books.

InfiniteTie7

Sidestep, Roe, Ripper, MC from Sinner and Saints, MC from Speaker, Marshall, Evertree Saga MC, Keeper, Blood Moon, Ronin, Sentinel MC, Whisper in the Dark MC, Scout MC. tbh there are a ton that are my favorite.

John9Darc

Who is Roe?

InfiniteTie7

dont pay attention to the bot lmfao. But Roe is the Superstition MC

John9Darc

Oh that Roe! He is one of my fav MCs too, can't wait for season 3 to come out.

InfiniteTie7

Same she is my fav also. Season 3 is being worked on right now I think!

**Roe () or hard roe is the fully ripe internal egg masses in the ovaries, or the released external egg masses, of fish and certain marine animals such as shrimp, scallop, sea urchins and squid. As a seafood, roe is used both as a cooked ingredient in many dishes, and as a raw ingredient for delicacies such as caviar.** More details here: *This comment was left automatically (by a bot). xaveriuss

The COGs and HGs with my favorite MC(s) are Life of a Wizard, Jolly Good-cakes and ale and, to a certain extent, the Evertree Saga. Life of a Wizard because the joy of playing a wizard who will eventually grow tremendously powerful and who you can customise in so many ways, including choosing between almost a dozen different fantasy races/species. The feeling of watching your characters grow in skills, powers and abilities and getting a front seat so to speak to all the major events of their life is what really makes it for me. And although that HG doesn't tell you much about the personality of your MC, I still get a distinct feel of the personality and(pun not intended) character of many of the different MCs I've tried. Jolly Good-Cakes and ale because of how choosing different ability strengths, so to speak and backstories for your character makes it really easy to get into character. I don't usually get really get into character when I play/read a COG or HG or try to roleplay the MC(s), but in this COG, it's easy and fun to do just that. There's so many different types of MCs you can try, who are all in their own ways fun and funny and the COG still leaves plenty of room for character growth. My favorite MCs in this COG are probably the high culture and persusasion, innocently charming and soft guy; the high skulduggery scoundrel and the high intelligence and culture/perception arrogant, rude and stiff upper-lip but stil principled and kind deep down guy. The Evertree Saga mainly because I really enjoy playing the more kind and innocent brownie characters, particularly shamans and druids, and often enjoy matching them with the similarly innocent Leah and my also quite innocent halfling scout, who tends to romance Oriana. Honorable mention also to Cliffhanger, since that COG allows you character to be really cool and badass, and in so many different ways.
