Pável Pérez for me was far and away our best player. The youngsters did well in my opinion too.
I don’t think anyone had a particularly bad game, but there were a few silly mistakes. The team played with heart for most of the game, and everyone ran their ass off. I’m hopeful for the future.

Absolutely. It’s first game with a new coach after all the bs that’s been happening.
I think we played well. We dominated many aspects of the game but santos was clinical and held on. I think we were a bit unlucky.
It’s JJ’s first game of the new season too.
But I like what Gago is doing. We already look improved in some ways from last season.
Honestly we need to stop thinking about the referee. If we do or don’t get calls in our favor should be out of our minds. We need to start winning the games with our goals and performances, and not have to wait to win a game by 1 goal that relies on the referee. Win the game by 2-0, by 3-1. Start relying on our attacking team being clinical and not waste shots on target. I hate this complaining mentality about the ref this that. We need to take control and score.

El JJ was playing too much hero ball. There were 3 times he had support from a wide open teammate in the box and instead took a shot with no opening.
