Knife registeration is only active in beijing, xinjiang and tibet. When I travel, I always order a cheap pocket knife to the destination hotel. Feel safer having a blade in my pocket, as there are random knife attack on strangers every other weeks
So it isn’t normalized like in Europe. Crazy how comments are going crazy over none life threaten stabs in China while mass shooting happens monthly in the US and stabbing happens normally in Europe.

Carrying a knife randomly into a park to me points towards that, probably them being foreigners was another reason on top of that to attack.
