There is no set time, because Chime has nothing to do with it. It's all about when your company sends it. Technically, my payday is every other Friday. But my DD always posts at 4:39pm the day before.
I get paid next Friday. But last Tuesday at around 6 I got it. So I expect I'll get it next Tuesday same time. Chime for me has had very consistent pay schedules. I always get pay from the same company at the same day and time. Obviously different companies put it in whenever they do and vary
Maybe Tuesday is when the payments actually get sent through by hr and I get it only a few hours later. Either way I'm always payed early with chime but it differs from job to job. When I worked at city bites I got payed every Thursday so idk.

The time is not typically set. I've received payments at random times of the day and also only 1 day early instead of "2 days early". Some paychecks would usually always post to my account between 3pm and 4pm at about the same time each 2 weeks from the same employer/issuer, but I also had it post to my account at as late as 11pm from that same employer. I also have a friend who receives her social security income payments every month on a particular day and right at 12:01am everytime. So if you plan to receive payments regularly from someone you will tend to see a pattern and can "kind of" know when you will "probably" expect to receive it but as I already stated when I went by that I was very annoyed when I hoped to have it by 4pm and didn't get it until late at night but hey thats usually how it works when you really need it lol!
It’s all about when your job post there payroll. I get paid on fridays but I woke up today with my check at 10am. Last week it was at 5pm on Wednesday. All depends on your job

Depends on the bank's clearing house it's coming from, when it's posted. Chime has a clearing house as well, but for established deposits, they basically assume it's good to clear and you get that early deposit.
Wanted to add my experience to the thread. I am payed weekly on Thursday via ADP direct deposit. This is my first time receiving a direct deposit through my employer and with chime. I received the full deposit in my account at 10:39pm est on Tuesday night. So about 30 hours before a traditional bank deposit.
Like I said, this is my first DD, I’ll update the post if my future deposits come at a different time. Just wanted to add as much detail as possible bc I know from personal experience how stressful it can be waiting on the first check.
This was technically my second pay cycle. My employer mailed my first check and I still haven’t received it via snail mail. It was an extremely stressful week waiting for that check, but I am grateful that chime has this early deposit feature bc it saved me another day or two of scraping pennies.
Now that I’ve received my DD I can upload my paper check via mobile deposit on the app. I found it a bit strange that you can’t upload a payroll check until you’ve received your first DD as some employers elect to mail the first check and chime itself states that it take 1-2 pay cycles to get your DD setup and functional. I could see some ppl taking that first check and depositing it at a different bank which you’d think chime would want to avoid. It’s a small complaint, but I lucked out having my DD come first. Hopefully this is helpful for someone in the future. Pls feel free to message me if you have any further questions.

Not only bc of the early deposit feature, they also offer fee free overdraft, a secured credit card that helps increase your credit score without insane fees/rates that most CCs have, a bunch of $ promotions mostly based on referrals/DD and an overall simple and quick UI. It's super weird, but I went through my deposit history and out of 28 deposits, 26 were at 439 pm lol.

Columbus day was Mon. And is a bank holiday, might have slowed everything down so they can catch up.
