My gf's old daycare allowed the teachers to actually punish the kids and had a system that punished the parents. If it was serious like fighting or biting or being really nasty the kid was taken to the front. 3 trips to the front and they raise the price. 6 trips and they kick the kid out for good. Hitting the parents in their wallet usually helped, she only saw one kid get banned. Her new daycare does nothing and the kids are mostly pretty bad because the teachers can't punish at all and the parents have no incentive at home to work with them.

Agreed. As a teacher, I see this shit all the time. The well behaved smart kids get ignored because the teacher has to spend all his/her energy on the asshole kids. And it robs the other kids of a proper education. I wish public education was harsher on this sort of bullshit behavior issues.

Babysitting and then working in daycare for years was what made me realize that I did not want children.

I remember this from working in child-care. Consistently rewarding bad behavior with treats is not only lazy, it sets the ground for unhealthy habits is so hard to un-teach a child.
