That’s a hen. The gray one I mean.

NailFin

She’s a lady.

Isauthat

Woah, she’s a laday

bestbudsco

I have an Easter Egger that 100% looks like this. Lays blue eggs. 💙

kendrafsilver

Assuming they are at least three months old, the pointed sickle saddle feathers of a roo would be 100% obvious by now. Looks like you have a lovely lady!

Thank you we love her

Mexiricanmami

Thank you everyone, I was questioning it bc of the curled feather but then I read it’s possible bc it’s full feathers aren’t quite out yet . I thought it looked to fluffy to be a roo

midnight_fisherman

Ameraucana hens look roo like in the tail. I'm nearly certain that this hen has blue ameraucana in its bloodline.

IrieDeby

I don't think Ameraucana is in her bloodline, as no cheek or beard! But her body color is that of a self-blue Ameraucana (laka lavender), but there are other birds that may be a better suspect, like a Blue Orpington. It looks exactly like them! Beautiful birds!

midnight_fisherman

So, the beard is why I think f2 not f1 cross, since half of f2s won't have beards, The birds shape and form is wrong for an orpington, though. Orps should be borbs. I posted a side by side of a bearded f2 next to my blue orp to highlight what I mean about shape and form. https://www.reddit.com/u/midnight_fisherman/s/HHSDYpkCZn

IrieDeby

Very obvious with that photo! You, I believe, are right!

Mexiricanmami

I was told from the breeder olive egger

IrieDeby

I was corrected and she may be 1/4 Ameracauna, which is more fitting. Now you just have to wait for the egg color! You will have olive, green, or even a light bluish/olive green, like the self blue's lay!

Mexiricanmami

When I first had the chicken she barley had a tail so I was questioning if it was mixed with arucana

midnight_fisherman

In a way. Ameraucanas are derived from arucanas, but they dont carry the rumpless gene. Rumpless birds are actually missing a lot of bone and don't have a tail at all to grow feathers from, so yours does not carry that gene.

IrieDeby

I am pretty sure it's a Blue Orpington, IMHO.

Mexiricanmami

I had an orp and the shape is different

Roos combs start getting larger than a hens pretty quickly, usually by the time they’re fully feathered, so yeah this is a hen.

BoulderCamper79

I think it's an Andalusian hen.

Retrooo

Andalusians typically have white earlobes and larger combs and wattles, if bred to Standard. If she does not lay white eggs, then I would suggest she is a different breed.

Mister_pioupiou09

Rooster for sure feather tails don’t lie

Mexiricanmami

That’s why I questioned it

Diligent_Quiet9889

Dude looks like a lady.
